  1. Any idea why these liner would be so expensive? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Intuition-Comp-s-Ski-Boot-Liners-size-11/173039426681?hash=item2849f41c79:g:TYoAAOSw59taFwrp
  2. Hansel and Gretel - Like a yard sale. Fall, leave your gloves, then your goggles, then your hat, then your poles, then your skis. Then follow the trail back home. Sonny Bono - Hit your head on a tree while not wearing a helmet.
  3. The shop at the base of Okemo has Donek boards and Deluuxe boots for demo. You can pick up some Intuition liners at Totem ski shop on the base road. Don't know of any other shops in N.E. that are lending out alpine setups. Welcome back
  4. Sunrise will look better after it's covered with stickers.
  5. Thumbprint Cookie - Catch a heelside edge, helmet slams into the snow and leaves a big, round dimple.
  6. Don't read if you are sensitive. Chappaquiddick - Riding with a drunk friend and ending up in a shallow stream on the side of the trail.
  7. Powder Snake - In the trees, board goes under a fallen tree that is beneath the snow. Doesn't end well.
  8. Was sitting around the dinner table talking about wipeouts with the kids. Came up with the following list. Anyone have some to add? Yard Sale - (Classic) when hat, gloves, goggles, ... go everywhere. Christmas Tree - Skier falls forward and skis form a V. Urban Sprawl - Front side slide on the stomach with knees bent and board in the air. Scorpion - Catch a toe edge, fall on your face and the board comes around and hits you in the back of the head. Lawn Chair - Heel edge, on your back, fold in half and board hits you in the face. Photos appreciated.
  9. The snowsport shop at the base lodge has some Deeluxe boots and a few carving boards, including a MK to demo.
  10. Spent a season at Steamboat and worked at the local shop at the bottom of the mountain with a bunch of Australians that were doing the endless winter thing to train on hard boots all year. They mostly rode on the training hill in town, Howelsen Hill. When we would ride at the resort, the go to runs were All Out, See Me and Voodoo. Agreed, crowded on no new snow days, but these runs usually saw grooming as they were the main way down. They were served by a lift that was not busy though so it was easy to get lots of quick runs in and get a rest on the way up. Fun days with a dozen 20 somethings carving together in a pack. It was in 1995 though and haven't been able to find anything close. Sorry about being nostalgic.
  11. I'm trying to think of the picture my wife would send me if four new boards arrived at our door. I'm guessing it would not be the same as what you show. Your a lucky man Snowjob.
  12. I remember skiing in jeans. Too young to sport the bushy mustache though.

My 180 flew off of one of those Gondola side racks last year when the wind picked up. Carrying a 200cm board into the car would really PO the skier types. Better than having that spear land on someone though.
  14. A whole lot of whispering, but I can make out the words like 'Monoski', 'Step In', 'Skiboard' and 'Old School'. Like the last one best. Lifties seem to always know what's going on.
  15. Just lost my appetite. Did this start as something to do with heelside turns?
  16. Want a classic Lib Tech? 172 Litigator - Used but loved. Maybe 3/8" of camber left. I put this on Ebay but feel free to make and offer or bid. Thanks http://www.ebay.com/itm/272577292916?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  17. On Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Burton-Factory-Prime-3-5-KIDS-Racing-or-Carving-Snowboard-LIKE-BRAND-NEW-/152411301798?hash=item237c6be7a6:g:5ycAAOSwA3dYdbLz
  18. Thanks all, Finishing out my money pit house that is 10 minutes from Jackson Gore. Close to Killington and Stratton. Thinking about renting it out on weekends if anyone needs a place. Pierre
  19. Just bought a house near Okemo, but clueless to the better carving trails. Anyone have suggestions on a few blues for carving or local knowledge on the best restaurants? Thanks
  20. All great advice. What helps me is looking to the middle of the turn and outside hand to the front boot cuff. Once you get a rhythm going, you can relax and play with the radius to dump more speed earlier in the turn.
