  1. Hey najserrot.  Just so you know, Kongsberg got a pretty good dump of pow this week, and I'm guessing that with the current temperature, it'll pack down pretty nice after grooming for the weekend.

thought this forum is gone forever. didnt login for a while. looks like this Winter is better than the last. moved away from oslo and now in nittedal... hvent been on a carving Board this season as we keep getting a lot powder lately. I saw you got a .4mm titanal nirvana, i have one With the same specs as Yours (somehow we ended up With the same sidecut) but a bit longer at 172. havent tried mine yet. how are you liking Yours so far?

I like it alot.  The tighter turn radius is handy in Kongsberg and the initial hookup is a bit quicker than the balance.  Haven’t seen anything like ice yet ?.  To me it drives pretty similar to the NFC Balance but gives a little more feedback, still really damp though.

I also got a demo Kessler 162 and tried it for the first time on friday.  THAT board is a rocket ship.  I really want to learn that board this year, but man it was a handfull compared to the Coiler.

Those raceboars are loads of fun, though one need to be "on" the whole time . But it does reward your effort with insane grip at blistering speeds.

  2. what is the width? is it in usd or cad?
  3. Couldn't upload a video on me on cat tracks going strigh and slow. Anyway. Same crazy arm movement exactly like the earlier vid. Me thinks I need an arm sling ?
  4. Been riding with partial ACL And PCL tear, grade 1 MCL and LCL injury. The brace has been invaluable Injured myself early in the season after twisting the backlegg just after disembarking from the chairlift and the person beside me lost control and made everybody crash =(
  5. Always unlucky with the crowd on days i bring the camera along. But got some clips to scrutinize.... this is cruising mode on a relatively easy slope I really dont know what to do with the back hand. Most of the time it has a mind if its own P.S. im only skimming my hand on the snow because my camera man insists =)
  6. Best to try your friends SL board? Then you would get a feel of a turny board and see if you like it. Plus these race boards have scr that shoots you out of a turn and from what i understand, the mk is a single scr...but who knows its top secret specs. Considered a nirvana energy? Never tried one but lots of good reviews floating around regarding handling on steep hard/icy slopes.
  7. we are about the same height. On a board with flat bindings I have 45 cm stance and on a board with heel/toe lift i have 47cm. I found this to be ideal for me after trial and error
  8. I can say it's a big difference from your older videos. I cant comment techniquewise as i'm still figuring Things out myself. But i too was thinking of getting an MK as we do get bulletproof ice every once in a while. But I have a rev SL which is a tight turning Board. Great on the steeps and ice but I can't ride this thing for long as it just drains me of energy. It just wants to turn turn turn. I cant do cruise mode like on a nirvana on the steeps =( On a Bright note, short slopes dont feel so short no more but hopping to gain more stamina during the off Seasons so i have an excuse for an MK.
  9. Had a try at it again. was trying to be consciously aware on how my weight is Distributed on the Board. when i was warming up in the blue run, i notice that i automaticly load up the tail early. But on the back slopes my weight is mostly on the front leg during the Whole turn as suggested by Beckmann. I tried to make it it an effort to shift back, but it was not easy. Ended up taking off the inward canting of the back legg and have now purely lift on both legs. Somehow this made it easier
  10. So i've been playing on the black slopes lately after getting comfy on the blue lines. Cant find a descent red slope. Something is happening once on every single run! Its during a heel side turn and towards the end just before the board gets perpendicular to the fall line. Somehow the tail releases its hold on the snow. I dont get over pressure anymore or chattering after learning to pressure at the beggining of the turn. But the tail just releases while the nose is still carving. I always end up falling down while the board is still turning so that when everything is done, im on my back and my head is pointing downhill and and the board base is pionting uphill. For the life of me, i dont know what i happening there. I mean everything happens so much faster on a black line. Any ideas?
  11. Damn it, im working =(
  12. I merely doing the people on the chair a favor by entertaining them. In all seriousness, i am a bit freaking out during a vanity run that is unavoidable and it somehow takes away the pleasure of carving. But if i manage to pull it off....suck on that mortals!!!
  13. Is this the one in voss?
  14. Mind you, had to check uphill on every other turn. But anyone wanting to bomb the hill got discourged that day. At leat i didnt see any from the chair. That is a very steep slope slope. 35-45 deg on the uper top part *300m. Been practicing on this one and its scary as hell without the gates already. Plus norwegians take they're skiing seriously. They dont want no snowboarder disrupting their training =) Wrote tanglefoot last week since I thought of going up there. But decided to stay in Oslo after he described the weekend crowd. Will drop a message when im in the area.
  15. Video taken in a mellow blue run. Was crazy lots of people on the slope i was on due to fog on the rest of the mountain. Took the SL 7-11m. Had to stop after 3 runs because it just got to crowded and unsafe. Fire away with some tips i van do for next time.
