  1. With all the amazing feedback on the Thirst SF162, does it replace the MK as the most agile Jesus board?
  2. Hi Daniel, Saw the board here - But a 152 might be too short for you. we're the same size so look for a board closer to 170 that is good for your weight.
  3. Hi DhKim, Welcome to the team. As a 20 year beginner I can tell you the best way to learn is to find people to ride with. Assuming you can carve on soft boots pretty well. You now have to overcome the roadblocks to hard booting. Few places have rental equipment, even fewer offer lessons and learning can be painful. The good news: - Everyone you meet on an alpine board is pretty nice and willing to help. - The annual MCC meet up is a great place to learn and connect. - This forum has tons of useful advice, as does bomberonline. - You can find everyone else's used crap for cheap in the for sale section. To answer your question directly you are going to have to find some loaner gear or just buy a used setup. I saw a new Donek Pilot for sale for under $200 last week. Then read up on technique articles, watch youtube and get out on a green run. Hoping you find someone to ride with at your mountain. We have a nice group of old guys in VT which doesn't help you unfortunately. Good luck and hope you bring more people into the sport.
  4. I did Lumber Liquidators Bamboo over radiant heat in my VT house. Definitely worth the money. The Home Depot equivalent scratched much more easily. I bought it four years ago so it's probably the deadly stuff, but it looks great. Just FYI, unlike other laminates you are supposed to acclimate bamboo for four weeks. It makes a difference and since you live in OR, I assume it's like laying floor on the bottom of the ocean. I say go for it. For 120 sq. feet, who cares. If you don't like it get a throw rug.
  5. Sounds good. You are welcome to borrow this setup. I might be in MA in November. We'll figure out how to get together and stay distant.
  6. Just looked. I have Raichle 224 boots w/ a 25.0 liner.
  7. Epic took deposits the auto renewal passes for the family yesterday. I'm going to stay optimistic about the season and glad to see this milestone getting hit. Didn't think I would be excited about spending money.
  8. Just saw that Donek has some 140 Pilots for $100. https://www.donek.com/product/pilot-demo/ I have a Burton Factory Prime 135 that I started my kid on that you are welcome to borrow, if you promise to return it. I have to check on boots. We had some small Raichles, but they were in pretty sorry shape.

  10. The Epic folks have delayed taking deposits for auto-renewals, offered a credit for last season and give you cancellation insurance for free. I'm going to renew for the family as soon as it becomes available and hope for the best. I need something to look forward to this summer.
  11. Ebay has a few, but you are right that they are expensive.
  12. I've been on the lookout for stiff boots as an alternative to Salmon Malamutes and saw a cheap pair of K2 Aspects on eBay. Just slipped them on for a living room soft boot session and these things are surprisingly good. They are half BOA and half lace but super stiff. Comparable to my Malamutes. Haven't heard anyone on the forum speak about these in the past. What am I missing?
  13. Lib Tech - The Litigator and Grocer were my go to boards for years. When magnatraction started showing up I bought old boards from Ebay until I finally switched to Donek Inclines. Really miss the Libs for all mountain riding as I can't find anything similar. Tried the Hot Knife and some Family Trees, but not the same confidence inspiring ride. I would keep one around if the old ones weren't so damn expensive. I see the Litigator and Doughboy were re-issued, but with the C3 camber and magnetraction. Not for me. Why not just get a Flux or Incline and be done with it?
  14. Thanks for asking. Someone sent me a pair last week.
  15. I'm using Salomon Malamutes now. Does anyone make a Boa soft boot that is just as stiff and doesn't loosen up after every run?
  16. A resounding YES to showboating under the lift. When riding with a group, the questions is do you go first to set the tone or last to collect the glory?
  17. Soft boot boards really were not as good as they are now and riding groomers was getting stale. Hardboots and a Factory Prime changed all that.
  18. A bit bigger, but half intec. https://www.ebay.com/itm/RAICHLE-SB223-HARD-PLASTIC-SNOWBOARD-BOOTS-MONDO-22-5-or-US-5-5/264104400916?hash=item3d7dd95814:g:3xsAAOSwFs1cI8h5
  19. Received my raffle winnings this weekend from Andrew at Bomber - a brand new pair of TD3 intecs. Thank you Bomber. Thank you Redman family. The MCC joy never ends.
  20. - Ideally a wrap around design as the stock UPZ liner had a shifting tongue. - Stamp L and R on the liner for idiots like me that get it wrong half the time. - A reliable 'at home' heat molding process. - A way to try before you buy or at least see what fits best in your shell. - Removable footbeds. - A way to accomodate different arch heights.
  21. Anyone have a pair of TD3 3 hole disks to mount Bomber bindings to an older Burton? I see that Bomber is OOS.

I have been using these for a couple of years. Not expensive and every lens you can imagine. The magnetic lens holder works great and I have yet to see them fog. https://www.amazon.com/OutdoorMaster-Ski-Goggles-PRO-Interchangeable/dp/B014XKTFI0/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=outdoormaster+goggles&qid=1581522151&sr=8-4
