  1. Foot of fresh yesterday. It's on. Like Donkey Kong. Like Wrath of Khan.
  2. Fairly? So modest. Is this referring to your riding style, riding schedule, or both? Personally, I just hold my breath until I see Erik J on the hill... I can hear Ski Patrol now, "We need an oxygen tank" "what happened?" "Don't know, found him on the side of the hill passed out and not breathing."
  3. El cuchillo blanco translates to 'The white knife' or if Donek stops taking their meds and decides to make a rockered version of the Incline...call it the Recline...
  4. What's the deal with the Catek spacers? Know little about them. They're risers? Mounted at a fixed angle? What's the width and lift specs (Catek and custom)? Anything else I should ask? How much hardware and weight does it add to my ride? Burton risers, adds 8 screws, negligible weight added, but limits binding angles to stupid low (max out at like 20/20), Catek Freeride, heavier than typical softboot bindings and means riding with tools in my pocket, Bomber Power Plates, makes my ride heavy and adds 14 screws as compared to just bindings to board (noting those 2 shortcomings, I'll follow up by saying, I absolutely LOVE Power Plates...the nuisances of added weight and hardware were COMPLETELY forgiven after 3 turns of first time trying them). If you EVER spent time-on-the-fence asking whether you should try Power Plates...prioritize trying a set before season end, you'll regret having procrastinated this long, glad you took my SAGE ADVICE and didn't wait any longer. I have absolutely waisted money on snowboarding (multiple times). For every "good" board I've bought, I've got two more that...ehh, just didn't work out, and massive amounts of gear that rarely gets used. Power Plates - money.well.spent.
  5. It's a date. Sorry, for the brief thread-jack everybody. It's over now. ...when I drag my outside elbow on the inside of my turn. ...when, on a Heelside, if I get any lower my chest would by dragging on the slope. And...when in transition.
  6. I see Erik J on the hill and get a few runs with him... It's happened twice? In the last ~10-12 years? Same stomping ground, different schedules. One of those guys you watch from the lift as you say "HOLY SH!T, check him out." Ask Jack
  7. For me, owning only one snowboard ended about 25 years ago and never looked back. No regret. Absolutely no desire to go back to only one board. Nasty taste in my mouth just thinking about it. If I could only KEEP one board, Rad Air Tanker. Carves, slices, machs, plows, floats, drives, et cetera...
  8. Interested in the tanker as well. PMed
  9. Board arrived wicked quick (2 days after PayPal, 1/2 way across the country). Really nice condition. Thanks for all the communication. Looking forward to seeing how it rails. Bring on the snow!!!
  10. Well, if someone does grab all these boards with interest of shipping them out, I'd be interested in the Oxygen. NJ zip 07871. PM me whenever. DaveJ
  11. Bump. Still looking for a 162 or 167 Tanker. Cash or trade. I've got plenty of gear. What are you looking for?
  12. Been thinking about my rockered Tanker 182 that rarely sees snow. Looking for a 162 or 167 cambered Tanker, or similar.
  13. Not mine. Don't know anything about it except that it IS used. http://m.ebay.com/itm/Oxess-snowboard-168cm-snowboardcross-/281997525975?nav=SEARCH
  14. I suggest editing the audio to include uphill snowboarders as well. Both skiers and snowboarders 'bomb' the hill. I've had a number of near misses (and been hit) by both. Not certain which is worse...
  15. Excellent point. In light of this, I've edited my original starter post to include the opening statements and deleted other thoughts.
  16. PLEASE, this thread is for USED gear. Starting this thread as a location for any PSAs on decent deals for gear. I see separate threads created for specific deals, but find no one general/all inclusive thread. So here it is. Basically, a spot to post any and all deals your willing to spread the word about. Boards, boots, bindings, et al. First up: http://www.geartrade.com/item/441513/prior-alpine-snowboard I've bought through the website before w/o issue, but be careful. Anybody can sell gear through the site. Just like any online classified, some sellers are not to be trusted. To me the offer looks decent (if the bindings are included), the seller...hopefully just too busy to answer questions. Anybody else know of some good deals? Please, post them here.
