  1. Had I only offered the Jackson with my order... Had I only offered.. :)
  2. OMG, what a good deal... lonbordin man, you have to send us pics of you one it man... sweet board.
  3. I am thinning my quiver and have a Rev180 for sale. I am !180 lb rider and it flexes for me, so I would assume it was built for that weight. No major scratches and is in good shape overall, with a few minor nicks on the edges of the topsheet from normal usage. It is a great board, but I kind of fell in love with the Secret last April, so I bought another based on that and don't ride this any more. I am at Waterville Valley in NH most every weekend, as my kid goes there in a program, so save the shipping and come ride with me if you are local. $500 Including shipping (to the lower 48 States) Sidecut: 13 - 18.6 m Waist: 20 cm
  4. such a pretty board..... nice grab man
  5. I would like to meet up with any of you folks who have kids or race yourself if you go to Nationals this year. It is a great time and without the Bomber tent, there is less chance of us bumping into each other.
  6. Cory, Thank you. Awesome explanation. That was simple enough for even myself to understand. One last question: How does this compare to the "Boiler Plate"? Is that plate similar to the A Plate?
  7. I too would like to know.. and how do they compare to other plates, like Vist and such?
  8. This was meant to be a complement, as you seem to be the guy with enough talent and knowledge of the sport to build with authority based from experience...
  9. With Beckmann AG making his own bindings in the enviable machine shop, I am surprised he hasn't built a range of plate magic as well to test against. I had an older Donek AF lying around, and it is interesting when ridden.... as a newbie to the sport, it definitely has a different feel, especially when it gets lumpy...
  10. Also.. Anyone going boarding this weekend, I will be both days at Waterville Valley if you guys feel like it... in NH
  11. Please don't burst my pathetic little dream... Time on snow is all I need <heels click>, Time on snow is all I need <heels click> ....
  12. welcome to my world. I use age as my excuse. I use newbe as my excuse. In general though, I am not as clean or fast as I want or believe I should be. Time on Snow will eventually solve this. You are not alone Brutha.
  13. #9? All the cool kids hang out here?
  14. I picked up a Secret 157 for my son, and a Rev 180 based on the secret for myself... Compared to either my green Rev (2015/2016) or my red Rev (2013 - 2015 vintage) it is more damp, but a bit more camber, so a bit more pop.... seems with the tighter starting side cut, it turns much better also.... As for my kids secret, he races it and took a gold in Sl on it and he looks good, as it turns real nice and has great edge control.... When I was at Nationals last year in copper, my kid looked good enough on it, vs other 160 and under boards, to have me buy him new, rather than a used one, so I hope this gives perspective.... If I had to give any negative on it at all, it would be buy a little heavy as it tends to not be as stiff (if you like the stiffer feel) as the other boards from the past.. (As in if you fluctuate between 180 and 195, lets say, buy for the 195 weight when they make it) I am a total armature, but my kid does well in races and likes it. He is 115 lbs and his was built for 125lb and he rocks his.
  15. Looks like I will be running gates in Bretton Woods Saturday if anyone else wants to carve it up a little. It should be cold as hell, but less windy than the other mountains so the flats will be tolerable... Oh, and it will be Eastern and have snow, so this topic friendly.. :)
  16. I don't much care why it is brutal cold outside (although I do believe the extra CO2 has to have some measurable effect) but I can say with certainty, that I am LIKING this cold, as no matter the snowfall, I can go snowboarding. The mountains will make it, or it will come naturally, but the cold we are having, no matter how brutal, makes my life more fun. Eventually, we will have enough proven evidence to conclude without a doubt, which side is right. For now, however, give me this cold, and keep it coming, no matter how brutal, and lets shed the shire with a smile on our faces.....
  17. This one uses the plastic sliders rather than the metal hinge sliders.
  18. The plate I have is the AF. I was wondering how it compared to the Vist, as I see many using the Vist and looking for the next step with my Son.
  19. What would be the biggest differences between say a Donek AF plate and the Vist plate? I see many Vist plates on racers, so what are the big differences?
  20. I like the Alan type over the Philips for screws though. Seems the Alan can get better torque for removal.
  21. I have them, but unfortunately, they are part of the TD1 set I am selling. I would go to most local hardware stores like a True Value and match them up. I have a aubuchon hardware that has all the hex round bolts and such, as the thread is common enough.
  22. Honestly, I would either buff the tip off (you would be married to those bindings) or do your original heat and bend... The challenge I see is, on the lift, the bar tee might hit and release it and / or it might get bumped and release. Personally, I would not feel comfortable with those myself and swap them out for a set of TD's or mod them.
  23. careful heating anything aluminum..... it tends to only get so soft and then just break... never a good result I have found
  24. that praying mantis pic is just funny man....
