  1. That is awesome! Do you use the stock LS from the SS? What mods are you allowed to make?
  2. Going to whitetail this weekend, anyone going let me know.
  3. Drummer I won't be there today- I usually ride the weekends there from around 3-4 for a few hours. Let me know if you're heading up.
  4. Eager to hear part 2. In all honesty, I think you're dealing with someone who hates snowboarders. I remember when I was 15 and night riding- it was rainy out and my ticket disintegrated- this mean old patroller would not listen to any sort of reasonable argument- he was a real jerk about the whole thing and booted me. It was obvious he was old school and didn't like my "kind". I'm also sort of aghast at the soft booter's comments (I am a softbooter) and how stupid he was.
  5. I ride at Whitetail, if you want to ride PM me.
  6. I ride on a little east coast hill, so just try to have a simple tool for if my bindings get loose or a strap gets loose. Try my best to fill my pack with food so I don't have to buy food in the lodge.
  7. Out of control people really anger me. I can't believe I still see the random guy straight-lining the hill- why? Someone that causes an accident like that should be in some serious trouble.
  8. Never been to Steamboat but I liked Beaver Creek a lot more than Vail. My favorite thing is you take 2 lifts and do a complete top to bottom run. Lots of fun ways to get down the mountain too.
  9. Damn that sounds cool, think I'll be calling you when that time rolls around.
  10. What about a Subaru outback? 30mpg highway, great in snow, plenty of room, etc.
  11. Personally, I don't think those are the best brands. Here are a couple burtons http://cgi.ebay.com/Burton-Feelgood-07-156cm-close-to-brand-new_W0QQitemZ270329048695QQcmdZViewItemQQptZSnowboarding?hash=item270329048695&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50 http://cgi.ebay.com/BURTON-FEEL-GOOD-156-SNOWBOARD-SALOMON-BINDINGS_W0QQitemZ270331094107QQcmdZViewItemQQptZSnowboarding?hash=item270331094107&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50
  12. I've got a T6, it really rips as far as carving, it's a really stiff board. Super fast, loves to turn.
  13. I know everyone in here is a carver, but this movie is actually pretty good. The cinematography is incredible and there are some amazing shots. The Alaska scenes are Just FYI.
  14. Good topic, I've been thinking about this myself. Over on the burton.com board, I opined that I'd rather have a triangle of screws rather than just 2, which was followed by "you're an idiot" and "if the pros use it then it's fine". I ride a T6 and definitely would rather have 3D than EST.
  15. I really like my Hestra gloves, but I never drag my hands. I'm thinking about covering the palms with something for grabs.
  16. Thanks Doug Im going to check that out.
  17. This is really intriguing- I've been looking for something to dampen my ride. Only problem is paying 240 then not liking them. If anyone's tried em I'd like to hear.
  18. That is a really pretty snowboard.
  19. That is really a sweet looking ride. Nice to see freeriding still gets some attention. The graphics toward the tail are uber tight.
  20. I returned from my trip last Friday. I feel so lucky! Amazingly the mountains got barraged with snow leading up to Xmas so conditions were nice all around. Favorite runs- Peak 10 and peak 7 at Breck, I could ride the Falcon chair all day. Then the bowls at Vail were just staggering in size, I got some powder here and there. I also hit up Blue Sky Basin and found some nice powder in the trees. Overall a great trip, no lift lines until Monday the 24th when I decided to bail anyway.
  21. I didn't own one until last year when after cresting a rise, lost an edge and went straight on to my head. Scared me enough to buy one.
  22. I have 2 pair of oakleys, a-frames and some crowbars. Both work well but I'm especially high on the Crowbars- the extra peripheral vision they give is great. Plus they work really well with a helmet.
