  1. I had some heartbreak on this one. About 11pm last night, a $180 MSRP Oakley watch pops up for $30:eek: , I promptly log in but there is an error. For some reason Steep and Cheap doesn't work with the newest IE I have on windows vista. I have to go to an old sh*tty computer downstairs, wait 5 minuts for it to start up, then try again. I try to log in 3 times, but it keeps saying "sorry our system is bogged down right now, try again". By the time I get logged in they are all gone
  2. Hey Brad, hang in there man. You guys are in my prayers.
  3. And I'm worried barely any terrain will be open. I have been checking the weather the past few weeks and it seems like there's just no luck. Can someone calm my fears or am I'm in for a few days of looking at brown grass?
  4. Anyone else depressed by the direction K2 has taken? Late 80's/early 90's they were such a cool company, I loved all their stuff. Now they seem to be on the extreme end of ultra-corporate board companies. (I know they arre now a conglomerate of who knows how many companies)
  5. Diasppointing to hear. I knew it was bad but not that bad. I will be riding Breck on Dec 21-24. Just how bad is it? Lift lines unbearable?
  6. Powder, obviously, but if not then I like it to be nice, firm snow where I can hold a really nice edge.
  7. I was at BC last Friday. It was perfect towards the end of the day- bright sun, no lines.
  8. Booster, I'm sure you know your way around alot better than me and could show me some fun stuff. My day there was snowing/fog so that didn;t help. I'm glad though that some other people affirmed what I said about BC. I especially enjoyed some of the long winding cat tracks. At the end my day there I had found a run where I would hit some moderate pitches, then cruise along a cat track, then back onto the main trails, so fun.
  9. Went to Breck, Vail and Beaver Creek. Was very surprised because I liked Beaver Creek much better than Vail. I didn't really get to explore Vail as much as I wanted to due to snow and fog, but the runs at Beav were so nice, long and wide open, cord everywhere. I had always heard that Vail was the be-all, end-all resort so I'm really surprised.
  10. I ride PA too, but my season of riding there is most likely over. Leaving for CO for a week on Sunday and doubt I will do any PA riding after that. I have to say that I had some of the best east coast snow conditions I ever experienced one day at Whitetail. It was right after the cold weather came and the edgehold was fantastic- no granular anywhere.
  11. Looking at the BC trail map I've been salivating over Centennial.
  12. Oooohhhh this is an excellent topic. As I am leaving for Breck/Vail/Beaver Creek Sunday the 4th.
  13. I'll be in CO in a couple weeks- I have a new pair of Goggles with HI Yellow lenses I'd like to wear but worry it might get too bright. Interested to hear opinions.
  14. Sorry to hear it man. Good thing you were wearing a helmet though. I had a pretty big getoff last weekend, slammed my head bad. I've decided to always wear a helmet from now on.
  15. I just picked up some Crowbars with HI Yellow lenses. They have the old school oakley logo on the band, I saw someone wearing some and HAD to get a pair.
  16. Do you have to put them in a file guide or can you just do it free hand?
  17. I'm not at all an expert on this, but a few weeks ago I was having some irritation in my knee and rode the exercise bike a few times that week. That seemed to help.
  18. Always goggles. Especially at speed they are a necessity. I have Oakley A Frames in a cobalt blue with black iridium. They do a great job.
  19. In early March. Could use some advice on the best places to hit. I prefer wide open, long runs.
  20. You guys are makin me feel better. I am going to put a tune on it and work on my ice technique.
  21. Phil thats what I had been hearing about it. So I dont know what the deal is. Another thing that worries me is the core is slightly angled in the nose.
  22. I ride softies, Burton Drivers.
  23. So I got a new T6 this season, 164. Its a nice board, I've had alot of fun with it, its fast and carves good. But one thing I've been disappointed with is the edgehold on ice. I had thought with the "Pressure Distribution Edges" it would cut right through ice but it doesn't. Am I expecting too much?
