  1. OP hope they catch they guy. That's a lame deal. But great that you're getting a nice board from Donek!
  2. Well I ride on the east coast and last year was really impressed with the magne traction. Knowing I can trust my edges all the time was huge. I had a T6 previously and would slide all over the place when it got really icey.
  3. Cool, anything you can add as far as adjusting to it would be helpful. I consider myself to have more of an old school riding style, pumping through my turns, so wasn't sure how the C2 would suit me.
  4. I have not yet. Was thinking I should demo first. The boards I'm checking out are the Billy Goat and the Travis Rice. It's a good amount of money so I don't want to buy then get on the snow and not like it.
  5. Yeah its funny how short a board people are riding. On another message board, I'm telling a guy who is 6'3" 205 he should get a 164 and not a 161.
  6. Anyone? It's gettin close to decision time.
  7. What are the specs on your board, Leeho?
  8. I had a jones flagship last year, nice shape but a complete lack of dampening. But it did sell me on magnetraction.
  9. At the suggestion of boardski, I started a new topic on this. I'd like to get a board with magnetraction which basically means I have to get a lib or gnu. I could get a Rossi experience but don't really want to. Anyone ridden the C2btx boards? Some people say they're good on groomer but I'm figuring they aren't too serious about arcing some nice turns. Having banana between the feet seems like it would ruin that. Thanks.
  10. Thinking about 1/8" sorbothane.
  11. Do you guys think this is worth trying? I'm wondering if the bolts will simply transfer the energy anyway.
  12. I'll check it out- one thing I want to make sure of is it's firm enough.
  13. Yardsale that took serious balls! Good for you man! What's the current state of this whole thing?
  14. I just got a down sweater, taking it out as a midlayer the first time this weekend. It is def very light.
  15. Thanks guys- Chef that is cool stuff.
  16. Nobody? I thought you guys would be all over this.
  17. Amazing, most naturally talented guy.
  18. Jones Flagship 163. I've wondered if it's just that the board isn't damp enough. There's been differing reports on it- some people say it plows through anything and others say it isn't as damp as they expected.
  19. Haha, sorry Loc, I'm going to use it for the season.
  20. I ride at Whitetail, PA mostly, maybe people who ride there can identify. The top is fine, it has more incline, there are moguls and ice but not chopped up crud. On the lower half of the run, you hit this less inclined area it gets to the point where I struggle to link up turns due to the bumpiness. I'm just getting pounded.
  21. This year I've had to concentrate on keeping my front knee bent because I injured it last year and it gets irritated if I let it jostle around. So I'm more squatted in my heelside turns with a constant load on the edge. Maybe my heelside turns are too long, I don't know.
  22. This is freeriding. It happens when I'm doing a real long radius turn where I almost go perpendicular to down hill.
