bobble
2/11/16 Lunch time was busiest I've seen but lot was less than half full. Snow is solid in a good way. Going back this evening.
DonPablo
Video I was telling you about Bob I was making some tight turns starting and ending perpendicular to the hill after you left, I measured the diameter of one of them to be 3 of my board lengths (164 cm)

Board length (M): 1.64 Half Wave : 4.92 (3 * 1.64M) Full Wave : 9.84 (2 * 4.92M) Frequency (MHz) : 30.487 MHz (300 / 9.84M) 30 MHz, you are in the 10 meter band. Ham radio operators will be jealous. If you could loosen your turns up and drop down to 11 meters than you'll be pissing off the truckers on CB radio (NSFW). that was me from 1982 on a jaw harp trying to sound like a Cylon from Battlestar Galactica. maybe i'll work on this in the spring. Futahaguro
Well those sure were amusing videos. To the birds credit that is certainly not what it was designed to do:) Chasing something that is WAY bigger than what it is probably gave it some caution so it didn't get smacked hard when the biker was bouncing all around. DonPablo
Looks like sunshine and lots of it tomorrow. Bring your cameras, I'll charge my gopro tonight. What time you think they'll start running the lift? I'm planning to be early.
bobble
They start at 9am and no sooner. Today there was a lot of kids at lunch that I was denied my 7 runs. Think I got 5.
bobble
2/13/16 walked up the run. chair started going as i was maybe a quarter of the way up. i walked quickly up the run. the lifty beat me to the top but i was still first down the hill. obligatory cord-porn. it was single digits when i got there but it got *relatively* warmer. conditions were great. wouldn't you agree? "hmmm.... what Instagram filter should i choose for my waffle?" that waffle bar is a cultural phenomena!!! every time i see someone get their waffle, the first thing they do is whip out their iPhone to take a photo of it. it is bizarre. one of these days i shall try one. @randy... ms. bobble saw us on the run. she was standing by the shack next to the chalet. she swung by to drop off boot gloves. she also checked out the waffle bar. DonPablo
Blade Runner 2 still happening? I haven't heard anything about it in a while. Weather forecast looks grim, probably go to Buck Tuesday evening and ski Welch on Saturday.

DonPablo
Yea, a bunch of her ski friends said they are going to Welch too on Saturday. Looking at the temp, I think I'm just going to ski. You should have stayed for the GS racing on Sunday, I had the second fastest time. My slalom needs work... DonPablo
You guys have to carve on without me for the rest of the season. I think it will heal up fine with just time.

bobble
2/21/16 went skiing saturday at buck but snow was too icy. plus it was flat light. left after a couple runs. decided today i would go in softboots. as i was getting ready my boot lace snapped. so i did this ... didn't quite get the bindings right but good enough. snow was rough. ice rocks galore. erik got close and personal to the snow. DonPablo
Saw the orthopedic doctor today, sounds like I'm going to need a screw to put the scapula back together. Getting a CT scan tomorrow morning so they have a better model of what the fracture looks like.
bobble
Ugh. Sorry to hear that Randy. I was at buck over lunch and conditions were slushy and somewhat deep. I did not carve. It was very surfy. I pointed out the location of your mishap to another rider (wild bill) who was out at lunch. How long till you recover? bobble
2/24/16 today was like slush. kind of fun i guess but now wtf are we going to do? the Drift balance board... wouldn't mind having this in my cube. interesting... an electric freebord... years ago i bought a freebord at REI off the shelf. it didn't come with "bindings" and i didn't know you needed them. i tried riding it but without the bindings it was impossible. i don't think you can ride on flats with a freebord. this leiftech changes things. i cannot even ... someone explain
