Cuban..the land yatch almost became a new 550 GT Bimmer...ohhh..so tempting...it had fold down seats and a dual trunk with one being a hatch.. west carven Posted January 28, 2013 Author Report Share Posted January 28, 2013 howdy all kinda of a funny day, big mtn reported two inches new so brought the 164 palmer with hardboots so i could take it easy. not carving much, but today it was carvable, but got bumpy fast with the new snow. had fun riding with johnasmo, cuban, mark and angry rick. it was good for me to take it easy and not push my body so hard. groom wasn't so good, little bumpy in the seams. lite snow all morning and cold enough to keep things dry, but there was rime on the goggles. if it doesn't snow too much tomorrow should be good. rode my 164 palmer from 9 till 1... west carven Posted January 29, 2013 Author Report Share Posted January 29, 2013 howdy all well, not the best carving day, but still lots of fun. softboots would have made it an awesome day. big mtn reported two inches new, but there was more like four to five inches of good soft snow. it was cold today and kept the snow dry and was easy to bust thru the huge piles. fog comes and goes mostly from the top of chair 2. just me, cuban and notarealname doing laps on eds. snowing all morning and not too many people. where was all the powder hounds?... really fun day! rode my 165amt from 9 till 1... My wife has a pair of Burton Step-In Carrier bindings which are garbage(IMO). I'd like to have in some normal plate binding with the front toe lever and heel catch instead of the lose and dangerous way the current ones are. We're in Kalispell here. west carven Posted January 30, 2013 Author Report Share Posted January 30, 2013 howdy all didn't know what to expect being in storm mode, but last night no new snow made for a great carving day. some dark clouds in the horizon, but over the big it was mostly blue skies. stayed on chair 2 cause there was so much pow from yesterday that it was too soft up high. it was cold at the summit and chair 2 was comfortable. it was nice all day until 3:30 then as i was coming down the mountain it was dumping hard. things change so fast so we'll see what tomorrow brings. we had a very good session today and it was fun, fun, fun... rode my 176vsr from 9 till 4...
