Yes, Tuesday was AWESOME carving. The grooming crew did an excellent job and they even did some of my favorite steep runs that are only occasionally groomed. The chair 5 chute, heep steep, powder trap... Normally ungroomed runs that occassionally get smoothed out. I was riding with a buddy and he was kind enough to document this happy day. They look steeper in person...

Today is back to snow and fog. But you can still play on steeps, but treed steeps like this clip from last Sunday. There are groomer days, and then the rest are "Connie's" days...

Carving the Black!! Very impressive riding Johnasmo! You obviously had a large breakfast with lots of HAM, cause you are riding like a "Hard Ass Mofo!" It looks like you are one with the Coiler Nirvana. That was not exactly perfectly smooth snow. You make the Pixelated suit wearing tribe very PROUD!!

I assume that Jeff W. did the camera work...Excellent job!

It is a rare day that they have those runs groomed... So very nice.

Your video made my days here feel a bit longer...But thanks for the Stoke!

where are you scrubbing speed

or are you?

Scrub speed? That would be cheating. The only slide outs were on the last pass down the Chute (which shown in video), but that was after 3:00 PM when it was getting pretty loose. I wasn't EC'ing on purpose on those two turns. Other than that, they were clean runs; the only stuff I cut was just bad video -- when Jeff lost me off the bottom of the frame.

worked the last three days and in that time we had three inch here three

inch there and last night big mtn reported 9in. in 24hrs. and 7in. overnight.

just starts to snow as the mountain opens and snowed all day. really, really

good soft dry powder. first run from the top, face to five was untracked butter,

then heep steep, but it was already tracked up cause chair 4 opened early.

had a good grey's golf course run that was untracked then some easy stuff

on the backside which had very little people in the lift lines so made a few runs.

there was a few inches over groom, but the off groom stuff was bottomless.

it's the weekend and the long awaited powder day made it a super busy day.

i'm so glad it's my day off cause today was epic!...

rode my 152identity from 9 till 2...

Almost 4 weeks late, but here's a little look back at the WTF 2013 week. I didn't shoot much video, but we got a great set of action shots from the on-hill photographers, so the second half is a slide show culled from all the photos. Enjoy.

foggy on the very top in the morning and slowly creeps down then by

noontime it's almost half way down ed's run and it was thick. groomers

were soft and had little bumps in the seems from saturdays big dump.

it got a little chopped up but with the lite crowds it was still ok when

i left at 1pm. was a fun day and pushed it pretty hard...

i was on the fence all morning as to what board to bring. big mtn reported

three inches overnight, but it snowed early and got groomed down. as i got

on snow it was nice groomers with just a dusting of new on top. off groom

there was three plus inches over the past few day of good dumps. so rode

the softies and went all over the mountain and had a blast. lite snow all

morning then a big dump at lunch time and there was over an inch of new

and it got better. it was a good change from the hardboots and i went

places that i normally dont go. was bummed that i did not bring the

hardboots in the morning, but was happy i brought softies by the end of

the day. a really fun day...

worked in the morning and looking up at the big it was clear and looked good.

it was cooler than expected and i knew it was going to be good. as i got on

snow it was still good cause there was hardly anyone around, no lift lines.

started on ed's and it was so good i stayed there for awhile then did one run

on toni matt and it was too soft so back to ed's. the lower ed's was really

good and could push it really hard. it was a really fun day and rode hard.

did i mention it was really good!...

rode my 165amt from 1 till 4...

worked in the morning and looking at the big it was foggy and looked

really thick. someone told me i didn't miss much, but i told him i was

going up. he was right, it sucked big time, lightly raining and snow was

wet and hard packed. made a few runs and called it. thick fog at the

top of chair 2 then clears just below the cat track. the beginning of the

spring slush? forcast for tomorrow in town is in the 50's then rain/snow

in the evening.

rode my 168m from 1 till 2:30...

What a difference a day makes. Looks like you have the same weather pattern as us - we've been dumped on today, and the Whitefish powderhounds must be drooling. Hope you get the softies up there tomorrow guys!! Looks like an amazing day.

started the day with bluebird skies then some clouds around 10am which

was a good thing to keep things cool. kinda funky snow, after saturdays

warm temps and sundays few inches of new snow. there was a really firm

base and soft stuff on top. the groom was firm in the morning and as the

top layer got tracked up the hard stuff underneath was polished ice. not

the best conditions, but it was still carveable. after it got tracked up it was

very uneven and snow would give out in some places so called at 1pm.

forcast is cooler temps tonight so tomorrow should be good.

just like yesterday, started the day with bluebird skies then very high

overcast builds by noon then it gets thicker and lighting gets flat. it was

very high and you could see glacier national park all day. groomers

were very firm and buffed out smooth and only got lightly skied off.

stayed firm all day and had to be on it. lots of ski clubs from other parts

of the country and it was kinda busy and they stop all over the place

and just very annoying. still it was a good day...

worked the last three days, could have done the half days on wed. and thur.,

but did not. thursday dumped 5 inches of creamy pow and friday was a bluebird

day as was today. so fridays slush turned into icy groomers this morning. it was

hard till 11am then gets better as the day goes on. got really crowded by noon.

woke up coughing and coughed all day, coming down with a cold so well see if

i can beat this thing. was a fun day...

rode my f2157sc from 9 till 4:30... last day of night skiing...
