trent Posted March 16, 2008 Report Share Posted March 16, 2008 the slow skier was skiing directly towards me. i kept watching him thinking he'll turn away from me. but no! he just kept coming at me. i guess he was only looking where his skis were pointing. he was about 25 feet away and still skiing towards me and not looking. i yell to him "hey!". still kept coming at me. then he's 10 ft away and not turning away. i yell to him "WOOAH!!!!". i tried sideslipping out of the way. he slowly turns again, sees me and then skids to a stop next to my board. i thought i was going to get knocked down. i think i stuck my arms out. he doesn't say anything but gives me this look and then skis off. i think trent snapped a picture from the bottom. ticked me off. dumbass. bobble's new friend. Bubba Posted March 16, 2008 Report Share Posted March 16, 2008 Haven't had to much of an opportunity on the carve deck this winter. Usually just watch everyone while I'm in the park trying to coach. Today was fun. Left about 1:30 as the hill was tanking fast. STICK YOUR BOOT IN YOUR MOUTH "The Grouch." I have heard some stories about her but have never seen her.....until today. Saw her all morning riding under the lift and couldn't resist when I saw her in the liftline to ride up with her. Usual polite banter until Greg and Bobble come down the hill. She says "I don't mind you normal snowboarders (referring to me, apparently she hadn't seen my board) but I dont like those guys that much. I was at _______ (rhymes with belch) and there were about thirty of them out and I couldn't ski anymore." At this point I showed her my board and her only reply was "Oops, I'm sorry." No more conversation. Don't know if anyone has ever gotten a close look at her but damn she needs a dentist and a shave. HOW DO I GET OFF THE LIFT WITHOUT FALLING? The rather tall girl who asked our advice on how to get off the lift. After Bobble's remark about bragging rights I felt the need to say Hi and throw some vertically challenged white boy mojo on her. Ok, she could have dunked over me but I thought what the hell. Saw her at the bottom of the hill and asked if things were going better for her. Small talk ensued until her equally tall boyfriend or brother came over (ok it was Chad from ski school) to save the day. Walked away with my tail between my legs feeling like dumba$$. (me, eric, bob, bill, greg, kenton, chad)</td></tr></table> Morning snow was fast and firm early in the morning. i could stick an edge and hold it. very abrasive on the clothing. milkrun was a blast, erik and i had the runs pretty much to ourselves till others arrived. i think by the time everyone showed up it was starting to get a little rough. around noon time it was difficult to maintain an edge. compared to yesterday, today was far better. welch (which rhymes with belch) wasn't as fun. maybe its the chemicals or bacteria buck puts in the snow? i took some videos of everyone. its not the greatest. some clips i took had excessive dropped frames so i couldn't use them. anyways, i put them on youtube. goto www.youtube.com/imakeruts. if you want the originals or have me yank them off youtube, just send me an email. i'm not youtube savvy just yet. i hope you can see the videos. You should have seen the video BobL took of me skiing a couple of years ago. nothing terrible, but it was nothing like how I had pictured myself. Thought it might be her, doesn't sound like it. I like tall girls, have a good job, no mental instability, have a degree in Molecular Biology (but don't want to be a lab rat so I work outside my schooling), and enjoy snowboarding.
