Roger the Shrubber
Is this a good deal? Skis are going for way more than this nowadays, and this seems like an idea that was too good for its own time!! The guy seems legit, and like he knows what he's talking about. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200095932958
Thumper
Oh my Gawd!! Only $1000 and it even comes with 5 hole Variplate bindings. It would be a bargain at twice that price. Forget the metal Prior, I must have this board. It will make me a carving god.
Fleaman
HAHAHAH april fools but seriously, you can buy a brand new custom board for about 600 bucks so why would you waste your time. Unless you want a wall hanger.
Thumper
The guy seems so sincere in his sales pitch, even throwing in some "inside info" conspiracy theories on the demise of the Holy Asymmetric Empire. It's brilliantly dry.:D
Steve Prokopiw
That board would look good in a garden surrounded by lots of shrubbery!Or in my garage next to the three Lacroix asyms (three different flexes) I have from that same year or maybe 92. alexgforce
At this price, is it concidered an antique????? A museum piece maybe?

jdgang
Whoa Then I made a great deal then on the PJ7.3 asym I purchased at the beginning of the year. only 50$ and it was 3D too
Neil Gendzwill
I confess I always lusted after that board with the funky base. It's even goofy! [searches pockets for spare change] Sorry, not enough cash on hand...
D-Sub
I think even the auction is a 4/1 funny.
Roger the Shrubber
Not sure what's so funny here, but okay. I've been lurking here for quite a while, and it seems there would still be a market for asyms out there, so I'm inclined to believe the conspiracies. Makes sense to me, why wouldn't you want the sidecut between your toes and heels? I was holding out for a Decapitator, but Bomber seems to be taking their sweet time with the rollout. I think this PJ will be the next best thing. I mean, there are no other pro-signature race boards out there, right? And those bindings look stout. tex1230
Today, the world of alpine snowboarding exists only on internet discussion forums, and in the ego-maniacle minds of racers who are above participating in them. Some alpine-specific snowboard companies today produce snowboards that attempt to replicate the performance of the wider asym shapes, but they cannot afford to produce regular/goofy specific models because as stated above it is costly, and because they are afraid the intelligencia of pro-symetrical alpine snowboarders would gang up on whoever bought one and tell them they were having fun incorrectly Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha! djtrussny
Here's my favorite part haha "One conspiracy theory asserts that Burton colluded with Rossignol (who never figured out how to make an asymetrical snowboard because they are French) to kill off asymetrical snowboards in order streamline and cheapen production, so that it could be outsourced to less skilled laborers in Kazakhstan, the Dominican Republic, and Cleveland." Conspiracy theory? Kazakhstan? Cleveland? WTF?!?! Awesome, truly awesome writing. Kudos

Mellow Yellow
Oh, what sad times are these when passing ruffians can say 'ni' at will to old ladies. There is a pestilence upon this land. Nothing is sacred. Even those who arrange and design shrubberies are under considerable economic stress at this period in history.
