  1. I have the same set up but I only bring it to my hip. I put an old intec handle on the upper end. I let the end hang out of my pants. I find the fastex buckle breaks after a while so I just choke the strap around the intec cable just under the handle
  2. I'll check when I get back home I am currently away ( at the mountain). I do know it didn't sell.

  4. I have for sale a 2013/2014 season 5mm Boiler Plate 4x4 mounting used approx 4 days. Includes Wonderbar. It is in near new condition other than the Bomber sticker fell off as it was -20 one day and some scratches and scuffs from removing snow from my step in boots. There is a bit of wear on the underside from the axle rubbing. 550 US dollars including shipping to North America BP TD3 2nd board kit with 2x6 degree cants in perfect shape. Will trade for regular TD3 2nd board kit with Medium Blue Ering and 6 degree cants. 90 US dollars including shipping to North America Components do not include the Coiler RC2. email: fleagalbaum at hotmail.com
  5. So I took it off and used it for a day. It was noticeably easier to ride without the plate. The extra weight and height sure did hamper my riding. I have now mounted it on my Coiler RC2 but haven't had time to use it yet. I think I will be riding my Coiler AMT NAKED from now on.
  6. Well I tried it out a few days. I don't think I noticed much difference. Mind you I didn't try without the plate yet. I did notice the weight in bottomless powder going really slow trying to hop turn. I will test further and write back. Sent from my SGH-I897 using Tapatalk
  7. Will you ship to Canada? Postal Code. V2A 8A5. Thanks. Sent from my SGH-I897 using Tapatalk
  8. I would be interested, Do you have pictures?
  9. I bought one already and don't really want to swap back and forth between plate and no plate during the day. I will ride it for a few days while patrolling this winter and report back for sure. I already weigh 280 lbs or so with my gear and patrol pack on so what is a few more pounds eh? Maybe I will have to pick up a set of td3 base plates as I purchased the ones to go on the boiler plate.
  10. Is the swing weight really noticeable or is it like going from a 19cm waist board to a 25 cm waist with the edge to edge delay. I am thinking I will compensate for the weight after a few days.
  11. I ride plates in all conditions like yourself. I was thinking that adding a boiler plate would make the harder stuff smoother. I will be pairing it up with a set of sidewinder step ins also.
  12. I did a search on this forum but could not find any comments. I was just wondering if anyone has taken their plate off piste or on Black and double black diamond runs in-bounds. What was the experience like with the plate.
  13. see here http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?24155-How-to-repair-Core-shots-on-Metal-boards I should be and easy repair but you need to scuff up the titanal to give it some teeth and remove the oxidation. I hope it goes well.
  14. I have one board that has a splice in the sidewall from the builder. I think it just keeps the core covered and transfers pressure to the edges. As long as it is tightly glued to the core on both sides of the cracks, it should be fine. Some good flexible epoxy(tognar) will fix it up in a jiffy. It should not affect the board flex much as it is taken care of by the core.
  15. there would be less overlap so probably more ridges. Also more broken equipment. Can you imagine how much this thing would be in the shop to keep working?
  16. I have had the bug to start a junior racing program for snowboarders at my Mountain Apex but I have no snowboard race experience and no time with 3 kids.\ Maybe when they are older, I will give it a go.
  17. each Area is different I guess. We have to have a tail gunner all the time as a safety in case the driver takes a spill. It is kind of redundant on some of the cat tracks but that is what the ski area wants us to do so we do it. Although we do have a few hot dogs on the patrol that keep the chain up dont use a tail gunner.
  18. oh man, having the front rope of the handles undone is a big no no here. It is kinda funny, we dont even undo it when we do change overs.
  19. I'm in for a pair of sidewinders and some Calvin Kleins
  20. Hi carvepatrol, there is 2 patrol including myself here At Apex Mountain Penticon that use hard boots all the time. I ride a Coiler AMT 177 with cateks and intec step ins on my deeluxe indy's a bit stiff but I am closer to 290 with my pack vest on. There are a few more patrollers here on the board too. Cya Jason
  21. He would need all that speed to get across the lake to get back to the clubhouse to take a piss
