  1. Hope this helps! From Donek: Model: Flux162 Length: 162cm Running Length: 136cm Shovel Sidecut: 8.50m Tail Sidecut: 10.00m Shovel Width: 31.40cm Waist Width: 25.80cm Tail Width: 30.40cm
  2. SOLD! I am thinning my quiver and selling my Donek Flux 162cm with P-tex topsheet. Asking $500, buyer pays shipping. This board was built in 2016 with stock specs and a white P-Tex topsheet. It is in excellent condition and has seen about a dozen total days on the snow. One minor scratch on the base, very small bumps behind the binding screws, and typical binding marks on the topsheet (from bomber power plates).
  3. I am looking to sell my Salomon Malamute softboots, size 9 US mens. They are in excellent condition, almost no signs of wear. They are from the 2016/2017 season, purchased new at REI and used maybe 12 times or so since. They are just a bit too small for me, I typically wear size 10. These boots are perhaps the stiffest softboots on the market. They also use plastic inserts to increase stiffness, all of which are accounted for and included. The liners are advertised as heat moldable, I had REI mold them once when I purchased. Salomon's current model is almost the same as what I'm selling here, with liners being the biggest difference (no more synching cord on the newer liners) and a different tread pattern on the sole. Also, the orange plastic "powerframe" is light blue on the current model. The current model retails for 399.95 USD. I'm asking 200.00 USD for these, buyer pays shipping. Please reply if interested.
  4. Does anyone have the inside scoop on Sean's new powder board? Looks like a new swallowtail or similar powder board with a big pointy nose (nose looks too big and pointy to be a nomad). He put a picture in his instagram feed last week, but all you can see is the tip and lots of snow. I think he's calling it the "Cutback", although the rider might be performing a cutback in the picture as well so im a bit fuzzy on that.
  5. Good to see the forum back, hope more good news is on the way.
  6. new Donek Flux 162, P-Tex topsheet with a revers-o white and black logo, good yin-yang thing going on with the Coiler
  7. FINAL UPDATE: I spoke too soon, Ride came through with a surprise package: A compatible set of individual washers, screws, and center disks! I'll be using these for my softboot setup.
  8. I checked with some shops, the small washer dimensions are proprietary and larger more universal binding washers do not fit. I ultimately used a Dremel and cut the original siamese washers in half like lordmetroland. These bindings seem great so far except for the unfortunate oversight, not providing an alternate washer in the box.
  9. so the slots seem to be the perfect length for 4x4 configured screws to fit snug against the ends of the slots, so without washers it doesn't seem like there is a risk of the binding slipping up and down the open channel while used, only risk is the screws becoming loose due to vibrations. The beveled underside of the flat heads also seem to fit pretty flush within the beveled channel, it seems like they may work fine without the washers as long as you check for tightness every once in a while (which I do anyway, so no big deal). Anyone riding these without washers or want to convince me not to do it? I know Angie would probably say something along the lines of "you should never affix a bindings to a bomber power plate in a way that the manufacturer of that binding did not intend." I have reached out to Ride, with no response so far, about how they would have me use their bindings in a 4x4 board, so just looking for some anecdotal support from those who share my conundrum!
  10. I just got some Ride El Hefe bindings for my softie board, but I'm having a problem! The washers they come with force the screws to be side by side, in a 2x4 sort of configuration, which doesn't work with the 4x4 inserts on my boards. Anyone elso have experienced this problem? I was planning on putting them on a power plate once bomber releases more, anyone have experience with this combination? thanks, -Steve

  12. I always make sure I bring the Pogo Longboard when I travel, I got a chance to use it at Bretton Woods this year while you were all sweating at SES.
  13. I think the real question is: Will this be at the ECES next season??
  14. New Coiler Nirvana VCam 174 with 20 waist 12/14 sidecut and ptex topsheet, old Pogos.
  15. This year's A-Frame is extremely directional vs previous models. It really reminds me of a mainstream production board company's version of a Donek Razor. Beautiful as always, too.
  16. Rub-in wax seems like a safer alternative anyway, if the topsheet is significantly thinner than the base (no idea if it is). Plus it doesn't have the same constant contact with the snow (except near the edges in softer snow) so performance wax would be super unnecessary I guess. How often do you find you have to use the wax paste?
  17. With Bruce's recent P-tex topsheet offering, I'm sure there are a few of you who own boards with P-tex topsheets now. Who has experience maintaining their P-tex topsheet? Are you waxing your topsheet (I imagine you would have to wax the top much like the base to maintain its snowproof advantage) What wax are you using? Is the topsheet thinner than the base? do we have to worry about overheating/scorching more with the topsheet vs the base? Also are you using plugs to prevent wax from entering the inserts? If so where did you find them? Anyone who can weigh in on this please let me know. -Steve.
  18. Looks like Killington and Bretton Woods have already celebrated opening day as well. Anybody ride yet? I'm hoping to slide down some fake snow before November is over, even Snowshoe in WV is planning on opening for Thanksgiving weekend.

    Looking for coach

Hey everyone, it's been a while but I recently moved to Richmond, VA. I'm riding at Wintergreen and Massanutten for now. I'll be trying my hand at racing next season and I'm looking for a coach. Anybody know who to contact?
  20. Today's picture from gore mountain includes an alpine cameo. I'm not entirely sure but it looks like someone brought along their Donek Axis expecting some freshies and chop. http://www.goremountain.com/multimedia/photos.cfm
