This is from Hellroaring Basin on Thursday. Luckily Johnasmo went in feet first.

Turner was unbelievable on Friday. 24+ inches in the AM. Top to bottom runs with no tracks till past noon. It was like a whole mountain of Good Medicine!! If you want cat / heli-skiing with out the cost watch the weather and catch Turner on a Friday!!

The tool of choice for the week was my Prior 176 Pow-Stick with a 23 cm waist. Makes hardbooting in the powder tons-o-fun!!

snow report: feb sat 2 08

did not snow fri nite so i knew it would be a good groomer day and it was.

got up there early on chair 2, it was a bit wet and heavy groom, but good.

made a few runs and left by 10:15 it was getting crowded with the weekend warriors.

i do not want to rub it in, but it was a good week for pow, so sorry for the carve session.

today is sunday i had to work. looking at big mtn in blue sky sunshine, beautiful!

i got the next two days off, if it doesnt snow it should be fast groomers.

Indeed, there was light snow overnight, but Sunday morning was a return to good carving at the Big. Ed's had only a light snow over the corduroy. The Violator came out of hiding and was very fun again -- there's no replacement for displacement. Snow was still pretty soft though, so groomers were toast by 11:00 and it was off to the powder for the rest of the day. Photos are the Violator in action, Toni Matt waiting to be trenched, and Corkscrew basking in the sun.

I have a soft spot for Corkscrew. I like that run.

Mountain looked great driving back from Kalispell yesterday - sun came out and you could see the whole front side - one little Aussie shepherd mix is happily home in Canada and looking forward to his new life.

See you guys next year!!

snow report: feb mon 4 08

a light dusting over groom, a little foggy on top. snowed from the get go.

rode chair 2 with my burton factory prime 167, this is a team board

from 1996, its a bit heavier than a normal board,

i think it has secret ingredients.

this board sticks like glue and corrects itself, makes me look good.

my legs is finally in shape where i can run thru eds run, had a blast,

great day of boarding.
