  1. You have to heaten them up first with a hairdryer and than give them 30 minutes with your feet in it. The 2016 model it is.
  2. These are bomb products, super leightweight, strong and comfy, just too big for me. Ace I am 180cm, normal posture and I have large from FA Design.
  3. Because it's a rock ('n roll) board.
  4. They must fit. I have mondo 27 and the fit was superb. Your boots aren't that big, Looks like you are a little too far forward but that pic isn't clear enough to me.
  5. It will be snowing on new years eve, hope Garmisch get some too.
  6. Sorry , not meaning to hi-jack this thread, couldn't resist. It's an Virus Interceptor Elektron with a high speed worldcup base and unbelievable edgehold through extra high torsinal stiffness, length 173cm, smallest width about 16.2 cm. Stance for me with a Virus UPZ RC10 mondo 27 : 75/80 degrees, TD 3 with 6 degrees in the back and 3 degrees in the front. I have the Zylon slayer version without the Elektron specialties, grrrr.
  7. Just get yourself a Virus Elektron, superfast! Just teasing lol!
  8. Don't avoid training that big muscle above and around your knee. That was my mistake. Without exactly knowing, i had a partially tornt ACL in my right knee, and I stopped fitness for about 3 years. Went back into a ballgame competition and tornt almost all of my ligaments in my knee in a game.
  9. JPM is closer to the boardedge as UPM. That's the difference.
  10. I don't recognize the pains you mentioned, I have had some pains, but could always do sporty things after the op's I had, also aggressively, thick knees and sometimes with pain, but not that much I had to stop. In the end I had a good manual fysiotherapist though I found after a year after my op. He could manipulate my knee manually which knee I couldn't fully stretch at that time. That fysio had a lot of experience with soccerplayers with kneeproblems. Glad I met him.
  11. I had a double meniscus repair/bucket handle op a few years ago, inner and outer meniscus damaged on my right knee in one time and a partially tornt ACL (did not repair the ACL) had to be operated twice because they forgot a bucket handle. After the second op I was on the snow within a month (with some thick knees after one day boarding). It took me about two years to fully recover and do some sports without thick knees or pain. Trained a lot.
  12. Give it some time. It will cost the liner at least a half an hour to warm up and to be formed well. There is a sort of gel/foam in the heel which you can form in the area of your achilles with your thumbs. And put it some decent insoles with enough volume.
  13. I mostly ride boards with a radius under 14m. When you ride outside holidaytimes in Europe you can easily ride that 180, no problem.
  14. Look in the classifieds, there are enough boards that will suit you. I would say take a freecarver in the 175 range.
  15. Those new ones are less rigid as the old ones. There is a spring system in it, so they stay vertical when you open them: comfortable to get in and out. With the old ones when getting in and out: you had to turn them away and after getting in, turning them back. With the new ones when you are in the boot, just a slight touch is enough to get them in closing position, nice! Also the new tongue is a never seen simple turn away comfortable construction. I have a high arch, just comfortable to get in and out, this boot is a winner! Can't say anything about the liner because I have a custommade bootdoc semifoam liner in it, because my feet measures differently and due to a high arch. Unbeatable combo with the aftermarket ialian DGSS springsystem on it, http://www.extremecarving.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=12272 Makes the boot way more dynamic in flex due to the bigger flex range caused by the bigger springs. The buckles are microadjustable of course.
  16. Grrr, saw this topic too late. La Glisse, nice!
  17. What is it about those Gecko's? More pressure, more control in mixed snow with less weight than a plate?
  18. Please make some nice pics of that curved plate board combo! It's unreal
  19. His new bended plate design with the inserts put further to sides of the board?
  20. For Bobby Buggs, man I love that new bucklesystem, so easy to get in and out of those hardboots.
  21. I just drink one beer less and there you gain the difference in weight lolHope to get my new Virus hardboots and Interceptor tomorrow at my doorstep.
  22. The link Pokkis has posted. No drills needed, just only get the cuff of and you are ready to install, italian made DGSS. Made my ride a lot better, more dynamic. By the way, I have liners from Bootdoc in them.
  23. Well thought out buckle system on the new boots

    UPZ RC10

Extremely small? My Deeluxe 700 are the same size as my UPZ RC10, mondo 27. My UPZ are much bigger in the toe area.
