  4. I have a similar Donek board and I weigh close to what you weigh - no you are not too heavy for this board.

  7. OA - it's a matter of preference. I personally ride the medium e-rings, then again I weigh a fair amount more than you do. Based on your riding style and weight, the soft (yellow) e-rings would likely be the best bet. Regarding cants, I am guessing that your X-bones are both 0°. For an all-mountain carver, I prefer a 3° gas pedal on the front foot and a 3° heel lift on the back foot. On something more race oriented, I ride 6° & 3°. Derek rides 0° & 3°. Point being... it's a matter of preference. If you like the feel you currently have, stay with something similar. If you feel like making a change, go with something like 3°/3°
  8. I received an "education" last week and can confirm Bordy's statement.

Ready??? I think not. The required team work out is one sit up followed by one 12-oz curl, repeat. Your status is determined by the number of reps that you can complete before you Keep practicing, you may eventually make it ;)
  10. if you only need to seal the topsheet to keep water out, use clear nail polish if there is any damage beyond the nick to the topsheet, use epoxy

  14. actually, it may be easiest to just follow the trail of empty bottles. if you're lucky, you may even be able to bum one
  15. most typically show up early and meet in the lodge, eat breakfast and B.S. at a table on the upper level between the lockers and the Wedge bar or bottom of chair 1 right before it opens
  16. it's simply a matter of preference
  17. Actually the remedy is easy. When you order a board from Bruce, tell him exactly what you want. Literally, it's that simple. Bruce will build you whatever you desire, but you must first effectively communicate the ride characteristics that you desire. It becomes easier the more Coiler boards you have ridden because you can discuss the specifics and specs of each board and what characteristics you liked/disliked.

  20. You are referring to the Aspen Classic Pass They changed the Classic Pass this year. You used to have the option of a 4-day or 7-day pass. Now they only offer a 5-day pass and they increased the price more than $10/day.
  21. My 2 cents... I think your focus should be more on side cut radius rather than board length. As a Clydesdale myself, I believe that once you start pushing the board, anything under 170cm will not have enough effective edge and you will be blowing out turns on a regular basis. SCR has more of an effect on how a board turns than overall length. I rode a 179cm Donek FCI for several years. With an 11.2m SCR, the board could turn on a dime with no effort; I actually sold it to buy something with a bigger SCR, that way I could make big turns with no effort or drive the board hard and make tight turns. I had a 169cm 4wd and sold it for the reason mentioned above. The 4wd has a 10m and 10.5m SCR for the 174cm and 179cm boards, respectively. Both are relatively small and could handle tight terrain easily, while still having enough effective edge to handle your height and weight. I have never ridden an ATV, but based on the specs and boards I have ridden with similar specs, I would stay away from this model for use with hardboots (with softies would be another story). If you are set on buying a 4wd, keep the Donek Axxess 177cm and 182cm in mind as a comparable board from another manufacturer. As far as bindings go, it's about preference. I have had both. I currently ride step-ins because of the ease of getting in and out. The only additional maintenance is occasionally (once a season?!?) disassembling the heel checking the grease in the release mechanism and occasionally greasing the pins from the outside. Know ahead of time that you will need a good stomp pad (i.e. Dakine Spike) to clean off the heel of the boot before trying to step-in; if snow is built up on the boot heel, you will never get in the binding. I hear people complaining about breaking the release cables. I have been using the same set of cables for 7 years and never had an issue. If the binding toes and heels are adjusted to the proper spacing, there is no pressure on the release pins and you will have no issue.
  22. Shawndoggy and I did this last year. I gave him two sets of SI toe blocks and heel blocks in exchange for two sets of standard toe blocks and heel blocks. You keep the base plates, cants and e-rings that you currently have. Stay patient, someone out there will be willing to swap. :) Worst case scenario, I'll buy them back from you and you can find some standards to purchase.
  23. Hi Dave, I want them. Having trouble sending e-mail. Please drop me a note. Dustin
