  1. So did you base your new top sheet on your ensemble and your new yellow boots?
  2. I've been cut off from liking anything else for today, ill hit you up with a like tomorrow. Laughing my ass off right now
  3. Another take One of the most awesome, fluid, cleanest, and amazing riders that i am so honored to share a chair with every sunday, Ice, aka Mr Positive, aka Kevin E, prefers to ride low angle slopes, though he can abso****inglutely kill it on anything he rides. Bob, stop beating yourself up, ride for yourself. I am about to step out of my "ride with gorilla balls" aggro persona for a bit here, and say the following: What we do is poetry, we do it for ourselves, not for the adulation of those watching from above on chairlifts, or our crew that watches us as we pass. Enjoy the beauty of a perfect turn, Irregardless of pitch, relish the feeling of an awesome heely or toeside, if the snow comes up to meet you, whoop with joy, enjoy the moment, embrace it, remember it, and try to duplicate it. The more you pursue it, the more elusive it will become. Get out of your head, let it happen, ride for yourself, and enjoy every turn, bad or good, feed your soul, because, ultimately, that is why we are all here, though we may not admit it. Or you can be like me, ride soso until you see a camera, and turn it up to 11... Mario

    Yo Lci!!

Sadly, not I. I'll be in Floriduh
  5. Keep drilling as much as possible on the low angle stuff, keep having fun doing that while you are building and strengthening those neural pathways. It's not counterintuitive, that wine is letting you relax, and allowing muscle memory take over from those gozillion reps you have done previously. I spend a significant amount of my early season time drilling like that, I personally enjoy being in a flow state, and not survival mode. mario
  6. When Kneel stopped by the other night to drop off the Log 'o' Nitrate Goodness, he mentioned that you may be joining us on sunday, forecast looks like maximum carvaliciousness coupled with the need for sunscreen on your teeth, will you be partaking on the Mananna?
  7. +1 with Sunsurfer Tail gunning is a great way to figure out how to control your speed, I have managed to turn my 195 virus into a slalom board by using slower riders as a governor, didn't even have to think about it, just did it Mario

My Honi is so awesome. I wasn't planning on going up at all because of the memorial get together for her mom, but she made me go. P tried to push the start out a little further so I could get more time on the hill, she did get it moved, but I ended up having to pick my sister up at DIA at 11ish. I could have gotten one more in, but decided to be a responsible adult, and be down at a reasonable time. The 4 runs I got in were money, sorry I ditched y'all for that first run, I needed to get as many as I could as early as I could. P thanks all of you for the condolences you passed on, as do I Kneel is stopping by in a bit to hook me up with a 6 pound log of nitrates and nitrites on his way to 10 days at Copper, but he is planning on slumming with us on Sunday As always, good to ride with all of you, I wish circumstances would've let me stay a little later. mario

  10. I think we have entered an alternative reality. I just heard " I wanna be your dog" as the music for a Russian Silver medalists figure skaters long program. That $hit just ain't right. Entertaining, but oh so wrong Mario

" I thought I fell off a cliff" -new guy Justin after being forewarned about the dangers of hitting one of my trenches, he hit one anyway. Kids, they dont always listen Felt good to be back at home, it was nice to have the chance to loosen up these old guy bones before having to hit full throttle. Busy in the lot, more than 3/4's full by 7:30. I guess everyone thought their secret stashes would be holding that 3'' untracked unmolested pow that fell 2 days ago. We hung back, waiting for the stragglers to make their appearance, and let all of those ayahooin' yahoos disperse to the aforementioned secret stashes. Sunny, not too cold, but, alas, windy. It is the Luv afterall. Snow was soft in some places, firm in others, and super firmerest on spillway, but grippy carvalicious everywhere. Everyone was rippin, as witnessed by lots of chairlift shoutouts, and an abundance of sunburned teeth. Not too many stupid questions, though someone did ask me if my Big A$$ Virus was a splitty. Nice selection of beverages available at the Cahr Bahr après, especially the Kettlehouse Barrel Aged White Stout that Sandy bootlegged from Missoula. Nice and tasty, I somehow managed to not pour another before Ink finally showed, and let him partake in that malty goodness. It was reallllly gooood... Once again, a great crew out, 007, Ice, Ink, new guy Justin, Kyle, Sandy and myself. next week's forecast is looking good for another carvey day, with a chance that Rides With Joy, aka Carvin' Marvin will be joining us Mario
  14. Just out of curiosity, how old are those boots? There were multiple incidents of old boots disintegrating at MCC with little or no load on them. It may be worth investing in newer boots instead of trying to Mcguyver those to work

Looking forward to actually getting a chance to warm up before getting after it!
  16. Lots of those yellow boots, with some deluxeo's, both 425's and 700's, with a few upz's thrown in for good measure. It think Vic was wearing the black and gold T700's
  17. Did you throw one of your board protection lobsters at him?
  18. Kneel Fell down on the job last time out and didnt get me my fix, he ran out of time. Ink is right, the plan is for a February delivery
  19. Thank you for saving me from myself, especially since I have an 8RW on the way...

Phuckin Phenomenally Phun Best day of the season so far I would say. Not too cold, lightly breezy, super sunny, put in my bright light lenses, a nice welcome change from the dark, doldrums of December. We worked from north to south, starting with firebowl, to firecut, on to bennetts, roulette, spillway and richards, finishing up on a run down mambo. Grooming was damn fine, snow was medium to the north, firming up the further south we went, nice, stable, and grippy. Post ride tasty analgesic recovery beverages were enjoyed by all at the Cahr Bahr. Stellar crew out today, with riding that was off the charts, the energy of an impromptu mini session pushing everyone involved to up their game. Usual suspects Inky, Ice, 007, DT, Shelly, and Mr. Tanker, alongwith the return of Dennis, and Kyle, and finally, Kahn, visiting from the flatlands of Ohio (no, as tempting as it is, I won't make a bad star trek joke . How was that rather vigorous warmup hike back to Ptarmigan? I feel a little bad about that, I didn't realize you were behind me, and didn't see me turn up that ramp. Awesome job everyone, as witnessed by all of the lift callouts. Next stop, Montucky... Mario
