I would say the key will be to mold the thermofit liners in the boots - should be fine then as they will shape to your foot & leg and make room. I have huge calves and wide feet and I get into a 29 in my Deeluxe shells - better fit out of the box once the liners are molded than anyother snowboard or ski boot I've owned.

Have you looked into Flow bindings - not sure you can adapt to the channel - but for a soft boot set up they are slide in and flip up the back - no sitting. Once you set the front ratchets once your all set. http://www.flow.com/Products/Bindings

Sounds like the screws you are using through the cant discs are too short? Have you measured to determine how deep you are getting thread engagement?

Usual small nicks on top, base is in great shape, never any damage. Well maintained, fresh tune with 1* base bevel and 2* side bevel. $425 USD plus shipping (usually $25-$30).
