  1. sorry I'm getting back to this so late. A 185 lb. rider
  2. I'm selling a Kessler 185. I've given it to my friend to sell for me and he's listed it on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/121561468742?ssPageName=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  3. I was pretty much going to use the cash to buy a new set up, although I'm leaning staying in soft boots atm. however, a trade for a full set up will definitely be considered.
  4. Bricky - I'm not the original owner. My understanding is that the board was built in 2009 for a rider 160 - 190 lbs. There is a small amount of rust on the edges but they are still very sharp with lots of metal left. here are some more pics showing both the edges at the nose and waist, with an exaggerated view of some minor damage to the top sheet on the nose.
  5. I wish I had gone up today. It's been so slow up there I figured I'd take the day off. Maybe I can catch you some other time. I want to get a board but boots will have to come first. I wear a size 13 and my toes are pretty wide. I've seen Terry around the mountain but have never spoken with him.
  6. Can anyone tell me where I can get bindings for this? If no one buys it I want to ride it.
  7. I bought these on ebay over the summer. Sadly, the seller told me they were size 13, when in fact what she thought was a 13 was actually the Burton logo. Over all they appear to be in good condition. $35 plus shipping or meet me in southern california. I teach snowboarding at snow summit.
  8. I joined this site in August because I'm interested in getting a hard boot set up. Through the little bit of knowledge I gained checking around the site I learned the quality of a Kessler board, and ended up getting this one on ebay. The straight up truth - I bought it as an investment, although I'd rather not say what I paid. I'd like to get $600 for it but it will go to the highest bidder as long as my cost is covered. My understanding is that it's built for a rider 160 - 190 lbs. It has a special insert pattern, I'm not sure what it is exactly. I'll ship anywhere but live in southern California. I teach snowboarding at Snow Summit so if you want to meet up there some time and take it for a test ride that's fine by me. PM, post reply or email me - MattThePhotog @ gmail dot com
  9. Thank you for the offer. Unfortunately it looks like shipping from Italy would cost $250 or more. I hope you can find someone locally who can use them.
  10. I've decided that I'll just put them on ebay again in a few months. I'll post here when I do.
  11. I think a longer board would be cool as long as it still had a small radius. As far as my mondo size, even 31s are a tight fit. I usually wear a size 14us shoe. My feet are also pretty wide. I'm use to having boots that don't fit well. I've squeezed into size 12s before too just to try and prevent booting out. It would be best to try out different gear but I don't think anybody even rents it in southern california.
  12. I'm looking to get into hard booting this winter. I bought a pair of Burton Reactors on line yesterday and when the arrived I found that the were not size 13 as the seller advertised (I guess she got confused by the Burton logo) but instead size 8. To be exact the shells are 25 - 26.5 and the liners are 26. Does anyone want to trade or have any gear for sale? I also have a thread running in the gear wanted section of the classifieds on here. Thanks
  13. Thanks for the welcome and the heads up on the PM settings. TLN, that gear sounds great but shipping is a big concern. Maybe you could post some pics and help me figure out shipping costs? I'm located in Oak Hills, CA 92344
  14. I've been snowboarding since 96. I tore my ACL a few seasons back and re injured it last winter. I am finally ready to accept that I need to stay out of the air. Now I want to see how low I can go. Time to switch to hard boots. Boots are my number one priority. Unfortunately I have a very modest budget and don't want to spend more than $100 or so on boots. I'd like to put my whole set up together for under $300. Spending much more than that doesn't make since for me right now because I'm broke as a joke and I'll be lucky to get even 5 to 10 days in this winter. I'm looking for a very stiff, wide board with a small radius and mid length, something around 165. I weigh 230 and I want to ride very aggressively. However I live in southern california so I only have room for short turns. Even if you don't have something to sell me I'll always take free advice. :)
