  1. Ski Swap is this weekend! http://sandiapeakskipatrol.org/swap.htm http://www.skiswapsnowshow.com/ Don't miss out! JPW
  2. Coiler 173 AM-T: Primary Carver Hooger Tuned 163: Rock Carver Good ole Softie Setup that probably needs a major upgrade... I might work a 175-185 big radius carver in there someday....or a Madd 170. Always loved the Madd 170 but the 180 just owned me. Sure would like to try a 13m+ Schtubby too. I ride the Coiler AM-T every chance I get. Everything else plays second fiddle unless it's early season/spring conditions.
  3. I have both and I prefer the F2 Intec Titanflex. The MAIN reason I prefer the F2's is the heel receiver. It's FAR superior to the bomber/catek offering. If you have the slightest bit of snow/ice on your heels you can forget about the bomber/catek heel engaging. I've spent way too much time cleaning ice off my heels trying to get my TD2's to engage. It really defeats the purpose of step in convienience. There's just not enough wiggle room with the bomber receiver. I've also come out of my binding thinking it was engaged with the bomber/catek offering. Make sure those pins are engaged fully! Lastly I've had my TD2's freeze up on me and not disengage without a major headache. Again if there is any bit of snow/ice between the heels/receiver then it can cause a major problem engaging AND dis-engaging. I'm sure some folks here will claim I'm doing something wrong or just knock the snow/ice off with a good stomp pad, etc. Trust me I've tried everything. Also we get some wet sticky snow down here which doesn't help things. The F2 receiver is much more forgiving to say the least. Every day that I have problems with my Intec heels it's when I'm using my TD2's and I NEVER have any issues when I'm using my F2's. The F2 teflon coated heel is THAT good. Wish I could mount it on my TD2's! Better yet I wish Fin would just come up with a better receiver...
  4. Please let us know how that Atomic Radon CT 169 works out for you! I was watching it in "My Ebay" and saw the auction had ended and lo and behold guess who bought it? :) Did you get 25% cash back? Perhaps you can join us for the Monarch invasion 2009 and I can demo? Or maybe SES?
  5. I won't be missing SES 09. I plan on at least Wed-Fri as of right now.
  6. Wolf Creek, CO gets some amazing early season snow but they won't open till November'ish. Not so hot for carving though...
  7. I got the same thing. My password here is not complex. Always use different passwords for different sites. Or at least don't use the same password for BOL that you use for online banking... Now I can call people names and blame it on the hacker.
  8. So they baited him into the freezer with beef jerky?
  9. Well here's a pic of the new Katoom: I let the guy keep the black rims since they were beat to death from MX and some idiots swapping tires. I thought the black rims were powdercoated but they were just painted afterall. He had them swapped on his 2007 300 2-Stroker with some run-flat tires and we couldn't get them swapped in a timely manner so I made him throw in the 3gal tank (which I haven't installed yet) and kept the aluminum rims. Boy does this thing rip it up in the dirt and it's a blast to ride on the street too. Is it me or does the 1000RR seem a bit jealous? Lucky for me my wife hasn't given me too much grief about the new addition. That might have something to do with the new minivan I had waiting for her when she got back from her parents back in June...and since I sold my RSX-S and assumed her beat up Accord as "my car". Please excuse my messy garage. It's an ongoing project...
  10. Billy please heal up fast! I'd like to ride with you at SES again! Worst case we can hang out in the garage again at the bomber house?!?! ;) Funny I never actually carved with you at SES 06. I think you were on that Fish both days we rode together! Sorry to add more useless posts to your sale post. I sure hope you are back on BOL this winter. Your posts are always very helpful for us novice weekend warrior types. When you get healed up we should do some dirt riding together. Isn't Moab inbetween ABQ and SLC?
  11. Dude came down on the 2008 530 EXC so I now own it! I'll post pics of it when I get a chance...
  12. Yeah I'm not really dual sporting either. 90% dirt 10% street is more like it. There is some AMAZING riding within 10 minutes of my driveway. I'll miss the KTM six speed I'm sure, but the 450X will work just fine. Found a 2008 530 EXC local but it's a bit more than I wanted to spend. Going to see if the guy will come down some and go from there.
  13. Nah but there's a 450X I might grab instead. I really wanted a big bore KTM...
  14. Stupid mofo sold it locally after I made plans to drive up there and pick it up. Not happy about that. :( Back to the drawing board. Gawd I hate d-bags.
  15. Sold my Frankenbike. I actually sold it for $800 more than I bought it for so I came out $300 ahead counting all the gas to pick it up, registration, speedo, new tires, etc. Out with the old, in with the new: Heading up to Silverton on Sunday to pick up this one. The guy is coming down from Grand Junction to meet me. Very, Very Stoked! Less than 300 miles. It has a GPR stabilizer, Acerbis Bark Busters, and FMF Slip on. Just need a skid plate and some other protectors and I'll be ready to rock! I'll post more pics after I pick it up if anybody is interested.
  16. I didn't even know the tour happened and I watch Sportscenter pretty often...
  17. USPS will Priorty that bad boy to the lower 48 for less than $30 USD. Even less via Parcel Post.
  18. Well that changes my view. Kudos to Chris Prior for that kind gesture. I still don't agree about the whole idea they'll build you a board and not warranty it, but hey I guess we all can't be perfect. Well besides Bruce Vasara. ;)
  19. I paid $850USD to my door, no duties/taxes for my Coiler AM-T 173. I heard rumors the price would increase some for 08-09 orders. That would be a Bruce question though... Pokkis when are you coming to NM again? :) Prior will not get my $$ until they get their price down amongst other issues. You're paying over $1000 and they charge you for shipping?! WTF is that? Then they offer 1/2 price shipping or whatever as a BONUS? Now if you look on their site they are offering to build you an generation 1 metal topsheet board if that's your preference but it comes with NO warranty. To me that says they can't back up their product because they know it's faulty. Why not just come out and say they made a mistake and offer folks that own gen 1 boards some type of upgrade option or refund? They KNOW it's faulty because they won't warranty it, and who takes pride in selling something that they don't even back up anyways?
  20. Shower her with love and she'll take it for granted. Take it all away from her and she'll appreciate it more and turn a start singing a different song.

    KTM rocks

One of my riding friends has a Yami 250 2-Stroke bored over 30. He now owns a YZ450F after trying to keep up with me on my KTM. Granted he still can't keep up because the KTM six speed wide-ratio gearbox rocks! Too much wheel spin for the 2-Strokes to hang in the soft sand down here, but they are definately quick. He has a 1.9Gal tank on his 2-stroke and he has to fill up 2-3 times during an outing when I would use 1-1.5 gallons of gas...

    KTM rocks

Still rocking my 01 MXC frame 03 450 EXC engine frankenbike: Gotta love street legal dirt bikes! This think will climb anything I've thrown at it so far. I'm doing jumps now but it's just baby steps. Maybe 1-2 foot airs with 3-8 foot travel. Nothing major. The terrain down here is just insane!!! I put some Dunlop D606's on it and they've been pretty darn good in the loose sand down here. I really want a big bore KTM now. Looking at a 07 525 right now but I need mine to sell first... There are a few street legal KTM 2 strokes in Colorado on Craigslist. I bet they would be a blast but I'm loving the gas milage and no-need-to-mix factor of the 4-stroke...
  23. 8+ years married here. Got the kids to go along with it! ;) Curb her ass with the quickness. Easier said than done I know, but it needs to be done. Make sure you tactfully get that rock back too before it ends up in a pawn shop....and anything else that cost you more than $100. The reality will slap her in the face when you start taking all that stuff back from her. Don't ask for it back either-Go get it back. The fact that she's f'ing other guys would be enough for me to bail despite the open relationship agreement. It only takes having sex with the wrong guy and you got some crazy funk going on down there. I like unprotected oral sex too much to be sharing with other people...both giving and receiving for you note takers. Unless it's some crazy three way action then maybe I'd let it slide. :D Still trying to convince my wife on that last part... Jack you better not delete my post! ;)
  24. Dakine Cobra GT's here and they've lasted three seasons for me before they tore in one spot on the palms. I'll sew it back and try the Tool Dip on them for next season. Still have life left and they are plenty warm. Not to mention they are "lower profile" than most gloves which is a big plus for me. I can actually use my hands for things if needed...
  25. If the title/registration says Off Road use here in NM then you will NEVER get it plated for street use. That's what I gathered anyhow. You could take it to another state and do a title "service" and get around it but that's going to be costly with all the extra sales tax you'll pay. Colorado is very lax and you can convert pretty much anything into a street legal machine. Look at the craigslist in Denver/CO Springs and you'll see all kinds of crazy street legal DIRT bikes to include newer 2-strokes. That's why I bought my KTM from a guy in CO Springs and the title transferred right over for highway use. Also I used the DMV on Kirtland AFB and they are pretty lax to say the least... My 450 EXC does 70mph at ~5,000 RPM in 6th gear. Granted the new D606's will pound you to death at those speeds but it'll probably do 90-100mph if you're crazy enough. According to my Vapor the fastest I've been is 81mph and that was on a gravel road that ran parallel with I-40. I was trying to see if I could go faster than the semis on the Interstate! ;) I can't imagine trying to do highway speeds on a 2-stroke 4/5 speed dirt bike. It would definately suck. My buddy has a Yamaha 250 bored over 30 with a 5 speed and he can't keep up on the straights.
