Looks like saturday is shaping up to be a 2ft pow day. Will any of you be at loveland on Saturday? I'll probably be there on friday. Not sure if i should go check out winter park or a basin on friday, but with all the snow in the forecast, i might just stick with loveland since it will be the closest to where i'm staying. (dillon)
  4. Curious as to how you guys have setup your pow boards with hardboot bindings. Specifically, with lower angles, do you guys use the same amount of toe and heel lift? Do you use weird compound angles if using SW's or do you align the disks with your binding angles? I currently ride with 6 toe and 3 heel 60f/55r on my coiler nirvana, but i haven't been able to dial in my nomad with hardboots. Last time i tried it with hardboots (not in pow) it felt very awkward.
  5. how are you guys contacting yuani? he hasn't responded to my ebay message.

Looks like the temps will hold up all through next week. I'll keep an eye on this but it looks like i'll be booking a trip for the weekend of the 21st. Can anyone hook me up with a buddy pass or two for loveland?
  8. One of the best videos i have watched dozens of times. This video covers most all of the advice mentioned on this forum. The stick figure model that he uses to explain positioning is very good.
  9. I have to walk down to the package concierge to pickup my new bindings.

I'm debating a last minute trip for this weekend out there and staying in dillon. How are conditions at loveland and surrounding mountains?
  11. Bummer, that's a deal breaker for me. I need 6 of toe lift. Surprised they don't offer more cants/shims to get more lift.
  12. what is the max toe/heel lift you can get out of them? Is 6 degrees toe lift an option with these?
  13. My giant calves don't allow me to use tongue style liners. I always get these weird and annoying pressure points on the sides of my calves. Do you use their sidewinder model?
  14. If you have hobbit feet (extra wide triangle/duck shaped feet, and flat), my experience with my upz 27 and intuition power wrap is that the liner is a bit too thick/high volume for the shell. I should have gone for a size 28 shell, but i ended up having my boots punched out and widened to make it work for me. A custom footbed also makes a big difference.
  15. dibs on sidewinders. Email sent. and remaining fintec.
  16. With that being said, the duty falls on us to keep the community alive. Let's all remain active on these forums and contribute to the community. I doubt we will be in DIY mode in a couple of years. I believe there is still plenty of opportunity for the hard-booting community.
  17. I've seen several comments about further improvements that can be made to the current state of hardboot bindings. I wanted to start this thread so we could list what changes we would like to see in some "future" binding. I'm still newish (4-5years) to hardbooting and i can't find many faults if any on the td3's. Perhaps they should allow for more than 6 degrees of canting/lift? In other words, what would your perfect hardboot binding have? Just curious.
  18. Why won't the bank just hire someone to list the inventory items for sale? I know, banks will be banks, but it sounds like they are having trouble finding someone to buy all of the inventory. They can probably make more money this way.
  19. Length might be ok but boot shell width also needs to be taken into consideration. Especially if your boot liner is very thick. I had the same issues as you and i eventually got my boot widened and punched out. This along with a custom footbed made a world of difference.
  20. There is no such thing as having too many snowboards, right?
