  1. You should try UPZ boots. From what i have read on these forums, they usually eliminate heel lift for those that have it with deeluxe boots. Feet that hurt will kill any enjoyment. I know from experience. I only came to be pain free this season after i had my boots widened and punched out and i got a custom footbed made. You can ask @big mario and @Corey how much my technique improved at the unofficial ATC once i got my boot issues solved and my feet weren't yelling at me. But, you were looking really good on softboots. Do what works for you.
  2. @John E You were looking great when we were riding. I think i'm the opposite. I prefer higher angles. I tried using my nomad in softboots this season and it just felt insanely awkward to me even though i learned to snowboard on softboots.
  3. Yeah i'm gonna look into this and see if they have an API to access whatever data points this generates.
  4. Can anyone provide me with a link or a list of the shell sizing of deeluxe boots in mm? I can't find it on their website or in the forums. I want to know the corresponding shell size for each mondo.
  5. This look very cool. Should be easy for them to make a version for hardboot carvers. They would just need to modify their app. I would be interested in seeing how high on edge my board gets on toe side vs heel side. https://usa.getcarv.com/
  6. i was with @Odd Job at loveland last friday. We pass a group of softbooters after getting off the lift: "oh look, alpine snowboards! they must be European!"
  7. Hey, i have a set on my old deluuxe boots that i bought a size too small. One or two of the springs are rusty. Pm me if you are interested @g.snowboarder

    Yo Lci!!

Awesome riding with you guys. I'll be back next season as soon as they open. It's definitely turned into the spring freeze cycle. I was there yesterday, first chair. Super icy groom which i don't know how to carve yet. Softened up around 1030, finally. I got a good few runs in before having to leave to pack up. Nah. I left the group on Sunday to check out lift 8 and it wasn't that great for carving. Still fresh pow on Sunday. I stuck to the usual suspects. Great riding with you too!

Good times today with John and Greg. We hung out at chair 8 for most of the day. There was some fun pow off of awesome. See you guys tomorrow!
  10. Are these the equivalent of size 28 shells? @guido591 If so i might be interested.

Fun times today with @Odd Job We left around 2 since the snow started to come down hard, visibility went to shit and we were worried about road conditions. I make it over to dillon and just after the tunnel, it's sunny blue skies. I'll be there again tomorrow early, assuming road conditions are ok and the tunnel isn't closed
  12. if anyone is willing to print me out a set (six degree toe, 3 heel) i'm willing to pay. I have the carve rs stepins that i could use this on.
  13. Are the stock screws long enough so support a 6 degree toe lift?

Awesome. I'll try to be there early. Pm me and we can exchange contact info.

A few questions since i'm still trying to decide which resorts i want to ride on different days - I'm assuming food is offered up for sale at loveland? Bfast and Lunch? - Is the parking lot safe? Can i leave a spare board inside the car without fears of someone breaking a window? - If i decide to do loveland tomorrow, what are the go-to runs? I usually just follow the groom, but appreciate any tips - How does a-basin compare to loveland? - Should i even bother trying breck? i was thinking of doing winterpark at some point, but i'd rather not go through that mountain road leading up to it. I heard parking is a nightmare at breck and that resort is so big i'm afraid i'll waste a good few hours just figuring out where the good runs are.
  16. Thanks @Corey There goes my productivity for the rest of the afternoon:
  17. @Corey I need one of these!!!! Awesome driving!
  18. I might experiment with it again. But over this past season, i systematically tweaked my setup until i felt comfortable on the board. (i have a post about this somewhere in another thread) I always felt like my legs were fighting something on the board. Over the course of a few runs i changed 1 thing at a time until i hit the jackpot. 1. Eliminated bias - Helped quite a bit with the rear leg. 2. went from 3 to 6 toe lift, helped even more, 3. shortened my stance from around 19.5 to 18". One thing i noticed immediately after eliminating bias and centering my boots was that i could carve heel sides with a more locked in feeling and without fighting the board. Again, i think it's just do to my own biomechanics. It's what worked for me.
  19. my .02. Eliminating gilmour bias greatly improved my comfort and carving. I don't think it works for my body type. (short and stocky) ymmv.

    Yo Lci!!

Looks like saturday morning will be a nice pow day. Around what time should i plan on arriving in order to make sure i get a parking spot on weekends? I'm staying about 20 minutes away on the other side of the tunnel. I'm a morning person when it comes to carving. :-D
  21. damn, if you had posted this before your step-in's i would have jumped on this instead. Nice board!
