  1. I know the flames are stock but I like them and when they are together, they look like a burning inferno. Holy crap, my workshop is on fire!!
  2. Maybe it is Trogdor's mini brother. hahah <object width="425" height="344"> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gz1DIIxmEE&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en&feature=player_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" width="425" height="344"></object>
  3. Hey MR Roboteye, go to Home hardware and get some maple chunks or briquettes(I cannot remember) you can do a salmon on there like no other. I had it at a friends house with the same BBQ
  4. I knew you would like them:eplus2: eatem up
  5. That is a cakewalk compared to some of the runs at my Mountain Learn to ride them in HB, you will like them eventually, almost crave and seek them out.
  6. Although my patch was a small one, it is still holding up well with lots abuse. I even got a big gouge up to the patch I repaired and it held. I think if you take the time to do what quequeg printed, it would work out fine using my descriptions. You can email me if you like for more info. Like what kind of beer to drink and cookies to eat while playing Dr Frankenstein with your board.
  7. The sailor is going to sea again!
  8. You all need to move to Canada. Here at Apex, we have 2 patrollers on Hardboots and encourage snowboarders to join the Volunteer patrol. there is also 3 snowboarders on the paid patrol. I am this year the head of the toboggan and on Hill training I ride exclusively in HB, the guy who did it before me rode Hb exclusively as well. IMHO snowboards in general are far superior to skis when running toboggans down steep, powder, trees and bumps. When we take people off double black diamond runs, if there is a snowboarder in the handles of the toboggan, a skier on the drag rope has a hard time keeping up. Last year one of our own patrollers tweaked his knee on top of a double black, while he was sitting there waiting, he was wondering how we would belay the toboggan with ropes to get him down. then he saw me with my snowboard coming witht the box and was relived because he knew we would just ride him out without ropes and wasting time. as for the flats, I keep my board tuned up all the time. It sucks having to push on the flats and cat tracks. I pass most of the patrol when we tuck runs though. hahah I use Catek os1's step ins with bomber recievers on a coiler am-t 177 with 23 waist. I have Fintec heels on my deeluxe indy's with BTS and blue springs. I have some webbing on my rear boot threaded up my pants to a pull knob by my hip to release my binding so I can get in and out of the board fast when needed for doing rope work or other tasks. It sure turns heads when I clip out in the lift line without even bending down.
  9. Yeah I already have 3 of them for various occasions like the chairlift!
  10. I should start drinking my rum neat out of the bottle as a few years ago I was fishing in a work sponsored derby with a friend and I knew we would be on the boat for a few hours so I poured a really stiff rum(finishing the rest of the rum I had for the weekend) with a touch of coke so I could sip it for a few hours on the boat. The thing is they were new insulated mugs with press on caps. I set my drink down on the seat while entering the boar and it fell on the bottom, the lid opened up and it all spilled out. I was so pissed off. I had to bum beer from my friend and never got the numbness I was going to get from all that rum. I went out the next week and bought a good screw on cap mug with a stiff flip lid. Never again will I be rumless :(
  11. nice work, I may try that once my toe block wears out. I just replaced them
  12. I just recently discovered Sailor Jerry's Spiced Rum. Man, don't mix that **** with Allergy meds, I drank half a 26'er and was falling down stupid. I stumbled and plowed through my buddy's fence with my shoulders and fell down and broke 2 bikes. I could barely speak it was so bad. The next weekend was better, no meds and could handle it. It sure helped my home poker game, I left with the most chips.
  13. pretend there is a light on your front knee and point it and drop it into the turn so you can see where you are going. Push on it with your hand to get the board to start turning almost like pushing your knee into the snow. You have to have some moderate speed to do this or you will fall over.. it works the same for heelside. Keep turning uphill until you have scrubbed some speed then initiate the next turn. Try it on a wide blue run. Oh yeah, bend your knees, dont try to stiff leg it, it may be easier but carving should burn the quads at least until you are built up. IMHO to carve steeper runs, you have to scrub speed across and up the hill to start the next turn and get low on the board by bending your knees more than bending your waist.
  14. PS: my boards are make in Canadia
  15. Yeah, sorry, I dont need them . Thanks for measuring for me.
  16. I would like you to measure the kinpin size, I do want the 10mm ones. thanks. Jason
  17. hopefully I have dibs if you ship to Canada and are 10mm
  18. are they the new gen os1's with the 10mm kingpin or the 12mm ones Do you ship to canada?
  19. I can make it but unfortunately, I developed a cold and have pink eye, So I think tomorrow is out of the question. Too bad, I was looking forward to riding in a white out. haha
  20. I broke my first pair after 2 days (wings broke on one ) then the other ones lasted 2 years, but I changed them anyways so they don't fail on me at a bad time. When I go on trips, I bring my retro kit to revert the bindings back to bails (Catek) that way if my intecs break, at least I can still ride. (I also pack my original rubber heels.
  21. I should ask my wife and see what she says. we'll see. If I don't make it, have a great holiday. Jason
  22. I grew up on Odr's in northern ontario, but now that I live out west, you can only have a rink like 2 or 3 weeks a year untill it gets too warm.
