  1. Good to hear. How is the grooming? I talked to Kohl and he said they hired a good groomer. I have some time off next week i might be try to make a run or two.
  2. Apparently you can get parts from the manufacturer. Check the Facebook fan page listed above.

  4. Thanks ti_knee, You didn't have plica surgery by any chance? I was sent home with the ice machine you are writing about. Pretty cool little gadget. I talked with a therapist friend today and she said all the clients she has had with this surgery have had very good results. I made the mistake of googling the surgery before hand and read story after story of people who had it and it didn't work. I wish now i had video taped the whole thing and put it out there to let people know it can be successful, knock wood. Cheers!
  5. Hey Two-Ravens, went to the doctor today and he says i am a lot further along in recovery than he expected. No swelling, no fluid buildup and only moderate pain. I actually think i may be back on the hill this season. His nurse " OMG, you still have your uni right?" Ha! I was so close to selling it. Backwards circle all the time in my dreams! Got to work on forward and get it right. I found the perfect spot on Laramie Bowl, i think i just need a bit more speed?
  6. Thanks Jack and carvingScooby. Two_Ravens, I resisted surgery as long as i could but nothing else was working. Surgery yesterday was a lot better than everyone told me it would be. No pain, nausea etc. A little sore today, I can walk without crutches although not very far. I go in to the doc tomorrow to get the bandages off and advice on my future or whatever. Dr. Neal told me "take my uni out and set it on fire". No fire yet. :D
  7. I was diagnosed with "plica syndrome", caused by repetitive up/down motion in both knees. A little pain and constant swelling now for a couple of years. Comes and goes depending on level of exercise. I had three cortisone shots and the "big" synvisc injection. Nothing helped. I was uni-cycling seven days a week even in the winter. I will definitely check into aqua exercise.
  8. Thanks Hans, I've heard many times if your going to mess up your knee or shoulder, Jackson Wyoming is a good place to do it. A lot of good Docs and therapists to work on you. Will see.
  9. I had knee surgery today and i got to thinking how much i miss carving. I had to give it up last year early. I believe this was last day i went out. I don't know if this officially counts as a circle but it farther than i have ever gone. Riding my Swoard Extremecarver 161cm., circle starts at 1:22 and ends at 1:29. I cannot wait to get back out there. Cheers! <iframe width="960" height="720" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/u1FOtOINZ-s" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  10. I will offer $75.00 plus $30.00 shipping and ship as inexpensively as possible. No hurry, i am going in for knee surgery and won't need it for awhile. If you accept, what type of payment would you like? I have Paypal. Thanks.
  11. How much to ship to 83002 ? Thanks.
  12. Just found this thread. Love my metal Prior, easy to ride and looks great. Sold my Prior metal with the topsheet. Just didn't work for me. Here is how i polished my metal board. <iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/cZQb4Tfmxuc" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="345" width="420"></iframe>
  13. On closer inspection there are scratches on the lens:mad: time to spend more money i don't have. Although we didn't get it on film Two-Ravens is perfecting her EC quite well:D
  14. Here are some photos of my boom setup. works quite well so far. used 3/16th steel plate.
  15. Two-Ravens got worst wipeout to date on video, thanks Kelly:biggthump
  16. I have the Swoard Dual 158. I really like it . I have not been on such a wide deck in years, it took a bit of getting used too. feels a bit like your traveling in slow motion. Super easy to carve turns, although i have not had it on hardpack yet just soft groom. very forgiving ride. easy to ride switch, except when you over-rotate on your jump turn and land on shoulder (video in the works, Two-Ravens got it on film:biggthump) I will probably get the next size up the next time. Like mentioned before check out Extremecarving.com. Cheers.

  18. I actually won't be using the hand-held pole anymore. I have only done this once and i found it quite difficult to concentrate on holding the pole, carving and looking out for others. I'm sure this is an accident waiting to happen at least for me.
  19. you go backwards you don't have to worry:)
  20. Just awesome video:):):):) love the scenes where they carve over the top of the cameras:biggthump Quality of carving videos keeps getting better and better.
  21. I used the surf board mount. I first removed the wax from the topsheet, heated it up with a blow dryer (board & adhesive) then pressed it into place, used a clamp to compress it and left it overnight. Fell off on the first run when i hit a hard bump. I am working on my own boom design that attaches to the hardplate. will see. good luck:)
  22. Hey , we can still do the backwards clinic! I got the word from the doctor and he say's it's ok to ride:D What about breaking the long standing tradition of holding this at the King and move to the village just today??? Should be pretty nice!!!
  23. We have had 27' this year, so if your looking for extreme and powder maybe Jackson Hole. Carving not so much, maybe 10 good days so so far. see linky for snow stats:) http://www.jacksonhole.com/mountain-info/conditions/weather-snow-report.html
  24. I am using the trial version of CyberLink Power Directer 9 and you don't have to convert anything. I have the GoPro HD. I think it works quite well. http://download.cnet.com/CyberLink-PowerDirector/3000-13631_4-10483012.html?tag=mncol;10
