  1. Oh man that suc$%^ ! I have been very lucky, so far nothing but some pulled muscles. I just got my new birthday present ( i just turned 49) a 161cm Swoard Extremecarver. It's a blast to ride but when going backwards, you can easily see a serious amount of snow flyin up over the tail. maybe i should invest in a neck, spine protector. here's a link to the Swoard backwards. Cheers. http://www.youtube.com/user/KasperKarver?feature=mhum <object width="480" height="385"> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPcwCQWlYCo?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></object>
  2. dude that is one sweeeeet video! keep em comin! :)
  3. I agree, I have been practicing toeside the last couple of days and i have defitely hit a wall. In fact i am getting so beat up i am taking a break for awhile.
  4. I agree very good video! I especially love the air between transitions, not something i normally do but i think i will start working on it next time i am out. Cheers.
  5. awaiting payment. i will contact you if it falls thru. thanks.
  6. thank,s i love the lift overhead except today when i crashed and single handedly took out half the Nastar course. I was filming with my GoPro but the file was corrupted :(
  7. Thanks. I unfortunately am not articulate enough to explain what i do. I did learn on shorter boards with tighter turning radius which i think makes it easier. I did try with a wider stance and found it very difficult. It really seemed to cut down on my range of motion. I spent a lot of time on the bunny slope in soft snow for the impact is not as severe when you catch your edge. I almost always lean uphill on my turns backwards which helps keep the tail from digging in. When i make my transition to heelside backwards carve my helmet sometimes is only inches away from the front of the board. Today i worked on the toeside transition to backwards carve, infinitely more difficult. I ended up doing body slides down the slope. I can get low but i can't get back up. yet. It's a work in progress. I would be fun if someone could watch what I'm doing and articulate it so we all could learn.
  8. Got my hands on a 177cm Metal Prior and shot a short video the other day. Definitely a different experience going backwards at a higher speed. Cheers! <object width="480" height="385"> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJYINhY8lX4?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></object>

  11. Hey dingbat, did they ship any Black Diamonds? size? thanks.
  12. My new boards still haven't been shipped so it looks like i won't be bringing any gear except my boots. So i will be going to Berkshire if the Pureboarding gear arrives. :) Kinda hate to leave Jackson, the Teton Village is getting really good!
  13. I ride my Ibex bindings flat and super narrow stance. works for me and i have track 700s which to me are are pretty forgiving and flexy. I used to ride with cants and lifts when i rode in ski boots but when i switched to the 700's i felt i no longer needed anything else.
  14. man you must use one powerful video de-stabilizer cause i could n't do anything with the footage i had. Is this a remix of footage or all new material? some of it i have not seen and some looks a little familiar? good job editing! Dredman where exactly are you going to be carving this winter? Cheers!
  15. the "BEAST" is what resort? I really wanna check out the Pureboarding clinic? demo? I will just have to wait and see what happens weather wise and family stuff. SWOARD is saying maybe delivery before Christmas of my new boards. I hope so. otherwise I'm on old gear again. But i hear the groomers are pretty soft and forgiving so maybe i will do ok. http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

  18. no, never been east. thanks for the info. just looking for something fun to do when my sister is working. i have my new palmer carving skis and my swoard 161cm, so I'm actually looking forward to a new experience, not much hardpack out here in jackson hole.
