Thanks Bryan, Sadly I won't be back carving this year. Two years ago tomorrow I had surgery on both knees. Surgeon said I had plica syndrome. Everything went well but I have not made any improvements at all. I've had one cortisone injection which did nothing. Two Synvisc One injections, I felt pretty good for a short period. Surgeon seems confused about why I'm not getting better. My last visit he said the pain was from irritating the scar tissue. I can ride my mtb as long as I don't go on long rides or anything strenuous, same goes for hiking. I started swimming a couple of months ago and that is going pretty good. Physical therapist says i have an imbalance between my outer and inner quads which is causing the knee cap to pull out of its track. We haven't made any progress yet. I'm kinda at a loss for what to do next. I really would like to get back out there. I miss carving.

I'm not going on the record and say there is anything special about asyms, but there is something special about mine! I have four other asyms sitting in my closet and i pass by it now and then and say to myself "when am i going to haul all that junk down to the dumpster". I feel this particular board just matches my personality and style. I got lucky. There's something in what LambertoMI says about the way it turns. It turns aggressively and easily. I have said in other threads, I'm not taking this board out in anything but hero conditions. If it's icy, steep, or i feel like smoothing out the groomers with my body i grab my Swoard:)

It really depends on the board. I have a F2 Beamer wc that i rode once and will probably never ride again, total lead sled. My F2 Beamer wc carbon is the funnest board i have ever ridden and i have been riding since 1990. I would pay a pretty penny to find another one. Maybe i will send it off someday to Coiler and see if he can make a Coiler version. I have a 161cm Extremecarver. I use Ibex Speed bindings. Really like them, lite, flexible, forgiving. The new Gen4 Swoards are getting very good reviews hopefully next year i will have one of my own. :D

I went to the king yesterday morning. The manmade snow mixed with the little bit of snow we did get was pretty good. The snow is pretty abrasive so choose the right wax, my board would barely move. The grooming was quite smooth, they have a new groomer and Brandon is back grooming! I only made two runs, the knees were pretty shaky and not much strength. :(
