  2. Ah, I remember that name. God rest his soul.
  3. I'm a Rochy local, now. Might buy a midweek season pass to Bristol.
  4. the only drawback of that cat, is you're stuck right in the middle. no place to open up the window if it gets too hot, or expectorate the tobacco dip. Big, but not that big. I've worked with that cat last season, tho I was in the Pisten Bully, and the lead had that cat. we did talk back and forth with feedbacks, and so forth. Some likes it, because it's stick instead of the yoke. the new PB 400s are now mostly stick out in Vail. :-/ I prefer yoke.

Err, sorry for being late -- I finally moved to NY. Bristol, NY is what I'm referring to, jp1.

Ahh, too bad I'm not going. I'm heading to the Northwest considering it's gonna be La Nina year which translate to high possibility of snow fall being broken again. Sorry fellas. PS how many here are Bristol local?

    Alpine Snowboard Teams

Ski Club of Vail did have one at one point. Somehow, Anton Pogue went out to somewhere else. And some ski/snowboard instructor took over. He's been gone for a long time, too, so alpine snowboard race team kinda died out here in Vail. Jeff White would know more regarding Team Copper. Give him a call.

    Dumped.

HEAR HEAR TO THAT ONE! I'll definitely toast to that.
  9. ltns, blue bird :) Funny enough, I was just about to post that. Great Minds Think Alike, indeed! This is a helluva valuable s--t especially for my job, grooming!
  10. Mine is David Jefferies. A giant, he is. I got 2005 or so DVD of the IOMTT. Mein Gott, it's totally insane, and I have an intention to attend IOMTT in person one of these days. Here's David Jefferies. I so love the humming sound of the bike! EDIT: Hmm, I couldn't embed the said link. :-/

    Just great.

Yep, 1200 is the round off I had ingrained in my head for a decade. Well, since I had the hook-ups with my old factory place (Lib Tech), it isn't flat where I went to. -smirk- So it helps to have the bros to show you the ropes. Can't help it there when I was an employee at T-Line as well as having access to summer snowboard camps all summer long. And by the way, the Oregon list and Washington list are two separated list. If I had to choose one out of entire list of Oregon and Washington list I posted, I'd pick Mt Baker hands down. That may be true, but I reiterate what I said earlier, it's the ski lift configuration out at Crystal which I did not like at all. Otherwise, it was a fun mountain the only time I went to Crystal. ------------------------- Now that my responses are done, I hate to break the news to you guys. I have not been riding alpine board in a very long time (I'd guess 3 or 4 years). I've been skiing exclusively, and yes, skiing on freeriding/freestyle skis with UPZ hard boots. :) So I still have a strong rooting for the alpine snowboarders, too. :) And yes, I do carve real hard on my skis. They're fun, tho it can be scary when you're hauling serious ass. And yes, I admit alpine carving is really worthless out in Mt Baker. If I had to pick one place of the entire PNW for exclusive alpine carving, I'd pick Crystal. Got a couple of buddies out there who tells me it's real sick for carving.
  12. I love my black DC denim snowboard pants. I'm still able to retain my redneck-ish 'tude. :p

    Just great.

I've been to both places, for I was a Seattle resident for 3 years and Mt Hood resident for 3 years. I got a much higher preference of Mt Baker over Crystal, anytime. I simply dislike the ski lift layout pattern out at Crystal. Plus Mt Baker is -THE- Mecca, seriously. 1. Mt Baker 2. Stevens Pass 3. Snoqualamie 4. Crystal (I've not been to the rest of other ski resorts, like Spokane's 49 degree north, Wenatachee's Mission Ridge, Yakima's something, etc). As for Oregon, it'd be: 1. Mt Hood Meadows 2. Timberilne 3. Ski Bowl

    Just great.

For what it is worth, I was there during the last major La Nina a decade ago. I went out to Mt Baker, and that was the year all records in 60 years were broken. It was insane. I've never experienced that massive snowfall again ever since then. This year, my lady, my neighbor, and I are intenting to spent a week out at Mt Baker in Feburary. I just hope it won't be too much snow that the entire mountain was closed (that happened once a decade ago -- the debris were the size of the bus -IN- bounds!).
  15. La Nina climate has been announced by the NOAA. _aaaand_ I'm not living in the Pacific NW.
  16. Seriously, that straight liner is an accident waiting to happen. Good thing I'm deaf and I do -both-, skiing and hardbooting. Tho, I predominantly do skiing these days. I'm burnt out from hardbooting, and I'd love to let that straight liner give me a lecture for a very long time. And then at the end, I'd point to my ear and shake my head to tell him universally I'm deaf that I didn't hear his s--t talking and go on joining the other hardbooters. muwa hahahaahahhaha

    Yo Lci!!

ok ok, this is ratherly a LONG LONG thread which I've not paratake upon it. August 29th -- as in going downhill WP via bicycles?
  18. This joke is over 1000 characters for facebook, so I'm gonna post it here for the Joker. A joke. Ok, I got a joke for you, Joker: Two Large Plastic Garbage Bags A little old lady was walking down the street dragging two large plastic garbage bags behind her. One of the bags rips, and every once in a while a $20 bill falls out onto the sidewalk. Noticing this, a policeman stops her, and says, "Ma'am, there are $20 bills falling out of your bag." "Oh, really? Darn!" said the little old lady. "I'd better go back, and see if I can find them. Thanks for telling me." "Well, now, not so fast," says the cop. "How did you get all that money? You didn't steal it, did you?" "Oh, no", said the little old lady. "You see, my back yard is right next to the football stadium parking lot. On game days, a lot of fans come and pee through the fence into my flower garden. So, I stand behind the fence with my hedge clippers. Each time some guy sticks his thing through the fence, I say, '$20 or off it comes'." "Well, that seems only fair" laughs the cop. "OK. Good luck! Oh, by the way, what's in the other bag?" "Well, you know, not everybody pays."
  19. Amen to that in regards to the high difficulty of inserting feet into them boots. However, over like... 6 years or so, my boots has "warmen" up. However, I'm already considering purchasing new UPZ boots since I've been using the red ones for a very long time. Yes, I ski exclusively and do use 'em for hardboot occassionally. I used to use 'em when I trained with Coach Sean of Team Copper. I miss that guy.

    Phone Dilema

Sorry, been away for quite some time with my girlfriend for a week! Anyhow, no it wouldn't matter. It's more of a preference, really. With BBIM, you will -know- if the person has read the message or not (it's indicated with D or R -- D=delievered and R=Read in past tense).

    Phone Dilema

I'm a fan of crackberry. Been ongoing for maybe 3 years, give or take. It's always been sprint, so I try to get the phone with CDMA/GSM capacity. I got a preference for the keyboard type as opposed to the screen-typing. welcome to crackberry world, michelle :) as for BBIM (the blackberry instant messaging), it only works between all blackberry users.
