    Yo Lci!!

This must be the longest thread I've seen in CO's. Wow.
  2. Go often for grooming varies on daily basis.
  3. Hmm, I dont know how to go about it with the "technicality" of riding (I just do it, pretty much). I -do- know that sidecut does make a difference (well, to a degree/extent), and i've always stuck to Lib Tech Emma Peel for a good reason -- 800 sidecut radius which is real responsive to sharp turns, if needed. Long caawrve pencil-line can be done with it, too, just remember with lower sidecut radius measurement, it can get a bit "squirrely."
  4. biking as in dirt bike with "loud and smelly" 2 strokes.
  5. Yeah, the white mountain. it's my local mountain as well as the backdrop for my grandfather in that town, too. Noice. From what I've seen the last time I was there, it looks relatively same except for the new lifts (Elk, chair 7 and uh.. chair 1). I'm still reeling my head off from the disbelief they don't use electrical motor for the gondola -- diesel all the way. I miss that mountain, in a way. And I take it you do -know- whenever you hear "El Nino" years, GO to Ski Apache. I did and purchased a season pass, and the snow coverage was insanely deep that a snow ranger said he's never seen that much snow in 20-something years. The drive up/down that 2 lanes narrow-arse highway to ski apache is ... a bit scary especially passing the texans who doesn't really know how to drive.
  6. Oh, now we're still "arguing" about the picture? -smh- That's -EXACTLY- why I posted that picture. And if you're really that [censored] and whining about it? I'll take it off, ffs. Gee, you folks are too politically correct, most of you.
  7. Don't be assuming a bit too much. I do have a developmentally disabled uncle. However, I did warn it'd be tasteless but a relevant point. EDIT: hey davekempmeister, a bit of a hijack -- I see you live out in maryland. You get to ride Wisp often ? it's my first mountain I've ridden a snowboard back then, and I recall reading an article Wisp installed multi-million dollars snowmaking facility recently. Was it successful, if you've been there?
  8. http://singularityhub.com/2010/04/05/5-axis-robot-carves-metal-like-butter-video/#more-14509 yes, 5-axis and I'm completely blown away by that device being carved in the video embedded on that website.
  9. That's allright, bobdea -- ignore him because I did say this ratherly clearly: Please pardon me for posting a ratherly tasteless photo but the message is relevant and to the point. but i guess he wants to argue, bobdea, so let's just leave it as that. Yes, puns intended.
  10. I got two type of chain lub -- one is wax and another is that thick gunky goldish-hue. I use the wax whenever I'm down out in Grand Junction/Utah. Up here in the mountain, it depends on the weather factor, tho I like to play it safe and use a mix of those two.
  11. No wonder. I've been seeing Ashley Fioek (deaf motorcyclist) talking about Jesse often on Twitter and I wasn't sure if it was Jerry's kid. Eeps. God speed, Jesse.
  12. Rain's forecasted this week, and I'm dreading it since I do grooming and Im not sure if I wanna try on the "icy" slope. Gah.
  13. My UPZ boots do fine for skiing, and I have not yet touch my Madd 158 in a long time or any carve board for that matter for like... 3 years ?
  14. Well, that may be true. However, I disagree with Vail Resort's decision to quit the colorado ski country, because I found their conference quite valuable in terms of development of my and others for long-term career (snowmaking & grooming conference). I might have to go as a college student to be able to keep up with the development and the likes.
  15. When did you do that ?
  16. Oh absolutely yes to hardbooting transferring to skiing. I ski ALOT more than I do snowboarding and hardbooting. My racing/freeride hardbooting gave me alot of reference to skiing. Plus I use my UPZ hardboots for skiing exclusively. :)
  17. Yeah -- don't know if you're aware that Vail Resorts announced end of the season last year that they no longer are affiliated with coloradoski.com ?? We got quite a bit of snow out here in Vail. Not bad.
  18. Last I heard, Coach MacCarron's up in Canada.
  19. Which loctite did you use -- the blue one or the red one ?

Well, for what it is worth, I watched it FIVE times already. Three in normal movie theatre, one with Open Captioned (for those who do not know me, I'm hard of hearing/Deaf), and one with 3-D. I might go watch it again this weekend at IMAX with 3-D.
  21. It shouldn't be the president (former and current) at fault exclusively. It's those senators and house of representatives. They usually are there at the Capitol for their own self-interest, not for the People. Destory Power, Not The People -- The Crass
  22. That's strange. I use my UPZ RSV boots -ALL- the time with skiing, all the way. I rarely go snowboard if ever. And by the way, swapping out the DIN, esp the Intec are a real major bitch to be dealing with. Trust me, I know this all too well from past few seasons working at the park. Also, one piece of advice, use the skiing DIN and leave it on the front -- it'll work just fine with the hardboots bindings if you really want to swap out the the DIN on regular basis (which I would strongly advise you not to). Yep, Ive heard alot of this stuffs and there's one out in Boulder, if youre in CO neighborhood.
  23. Yeah, that's why I always carry this nifty tool with the allen wrench to check my RSV boots every single time when I go out skiing.
