  1. I found the nose of mine liked to dive a bit until I moved it back. Not much, maybe 20mm.
  2. I think my Nirvana is mounted just about center on the insert pack, and the long radius Contra just a touch back. I imagine it depends more on your riding style.

    Yo Lci!!

Are you coming out for SundayFunday?

    Yo Lci!!

Probably hitting it tomorrow if anyone is out.
  5. I think I shifted back maybe 20mm? Basically moved the back foot back one 2x2. I think I left the front foot as I wanted to widen the stance just a touch. In my case I found the board just as easy to turn, but less likely to dive once already on edge.
  6. If you haven't, you might try shifting the bindings back. My big Contra felt a little nose grabby centered, but became much more balanced when I shifted back a touch.
  7. Can you? Sure, but they don't have the built in zones that Atomic boots have. The 120's (maybe the others) are Grilimid. Don't melt the rubber walking pads.
  8. New toe and heel blocks (and bits) Fintec is just a beefed up Bomber made Intec-type heel. They both work, and the Fintec uses many of the same internal parts from F2. I liked the extra beef, but Intec plastic heels work and are cheaper if buying new. Get in touch with Walker at Bomber and he'll set you up.

    Yo Lci!!

Great riding with everyone today. That was a good sized group!

    Yo Lci!!

I'm planning on it, at least long enough to see what the crowd is like.
  11. "Is that an alpine board" "Yup" "Cool, how it different than a regular snowboard?" "It's kind if like the difference between a race ski and a park ski" "I don't know what those are". Discussed basics of nose height, flex, and effective edge relative to overall length.
  12. Are you breaking at the waist? Sounds like you are levering your weight away from the edge.
  13. It's 5-6 hours in the car for me, so if they weather sucks I don't waste my time. I'm fortunate that I can make my schedule, so if I just have to wait a couple of days for better conditions, I will. I'm trying to hit as many days as I can, but I want to have fun on those days. When I lived 15m from the hill I was there every day of the season, at least for a few runs. Couldn't do either if I was buying day passes, so I'm happy to be able to do season passes and spread out the good days.
  14. I realized this year that even if I keep impoving I may never get as good as I was before I blew my knee. Whatever, I'm still getting out there. My goal is to try to ride as well as I can in the moment, have fun, and try to keep getting more good days in.

  16. On my best and worst days it's always me limiting things, not the equipment. I'm lucky to have a bunch of great boards, but if I could only keep any one of them I'd still be having a good time. Now, if they could finish the road work on the way to the hill...

Bumped Copper to tomorrow if anyone is up. Probably getting there around 10.

    Yo Lci!!

Now that we are pretty well through the holidays I'm going to try to get back on Sundays (and Copper Tue). How is the terrain/ coverage as of late?
  19. Two seperate things. Increasing your width is to balance lift/ cant. Increasing set back changes how you engage the camber/ effective edge. You should try both (independently).
  20. You can try shifting the bindings back a touch. Many folks find that with additional cant they end up widening the stance a touch. If both the board and the binding set up are both new, try riding it flat so you are dealing with one variable at a time. Bring a wrench to the hill. Try one adjustment at a time to see if it's a change you like, and maybe give it more that one run unless it has a drastic negative feel.

    Yo Lci!!

I'm probably out through the holiday. Plenty of good days without fighting for space.

    Yo Lci!!

If that's making you feel more stoked, stick to em. Doesn't matter- it's just boots and slippy sticks.
  23. Cheers. For Xmas it got all new hardware and a chop job.
  24. Setting up one I'm doing a little rehab on. It appears to have been set up for 6 clevis pins (2 in the back, 4 in the front). Was this for adjustment with just one per corner, or is there something that necessitates 4 pins up front? That's two more than anything else I've run, but it could be something inherent to the early iteration I'm not familier with. Thanks for any insights! It appears that these have the double hardware brackets, but are just on 4 pins. I'm leaning that way unless someone with experience on the system suggests otherwise?
