  1. https://www.mountain-slope.com/shop/ Probably a D shell and moldable liner, or possibly a C shell, custom liner and possibly some boot fitting and shell work depening on your foot. For reference, I have a 27.5 flat/ weighted foot (low volume, flat, low arch). I am comfortably wearing a B shell with a molded liner and no shell work.

Good short day to try to pump the acid out if my hip. A bit of warm snow over groom, but a good and grippy day. Early morning clouds opened.up to some nice sun.

Yep. I try to mix it up on a couple of the boards with dated top sheets. By the time it starts looking ratty I'm usually ready for a change. If Liberace rode a Prior, he'd probably rock some sparkle.

Those are a pair of Korean made Hoof.

Fairly warm today with a bit of a Squall going on. About an inch of pretty dry snow on top of good groom. If the current forecast pans out it looks like it should be pretty good most of the week and over the weekend.

Sunday was a great group- I think there were seven of us, plus a couple of drop ins. Great snow, rode hard, sleepy time. Lots of fun, folks. Looking forward to next week.
  7. Met a younger (adult) woman on her second day on an apline board. She was killing it. I think the future is safe.

Yup, first stop here, then into the unknown wilds of Clist.

Curious if anyone has a surplus of 4 pack tickets. I have 4 friends coming to town looking for one week day on the hill.
  10. I purchased my set up through Sport RX. I'm running Dragon X2's, but they offer their insert for a pretty wide range of goggles.
  11. I use an RX insert, and it seems to provide better clarity and periphrial compaired to several iterations of over-glasses models I've tried. Not sure on the perscription limitatons on that, but worth looking at.
  12. I think the rubber gaskets and compression do that plenty well. Again, in my experience.
  13. I got into this as a kid. All of those negatives were aimed at my generation by the one before, and I never got to demo anything until many years after I started. So in my experience I don't think all of that tracks. It's a fringe activity, but that just means it doesn't need as much by in to continue chugging along. I have kids (like, 12-16 year olds) asking me smart questions about the gear and how to get into the sport. If one out of 300 try it, then that's getting more folks in before I drop out.
  14. I can't say if it would work for you, but I've never had an issue with dry application of no serrated mounting hardware.
  15. HS race team (around 95) and a decent amount of freecarving media coverage and available gear in NH/ New England. Right time and right place. I was on softies only for the first season, switched for back and forth (primaily HB) for the next 2 or 3, then HB only since. *No vote, since it was 50/50 at the beginning.
  16. They (McMaster) do have the washer head ones, as well as several other good options.
  17. It's also close enough to town you can get cheap accomodations in SLC and drive or bus up.
  18. Its been a few years, but when I lived there Solitude was my regular carving area. Good pitch, good grooming, and no crowds. If it dumps go to Snowbird.

    Getting spoiled.
  20. Rolling up in my brand new bottoms, one of the lifties said "Hey, I really like your pants!".
