    Neti Pot

You mean like in the inside of that Tool CD? Or like in Hannibal? Oh I'm sure. I actually want one. Deviated septum ya know. From that time I snowboarded my face into a tree.

    Now I've seen everything. http://www.videosift.com/video/Netti-Pot-Instructions
  3. Comp I = 160cm, SL (this is your board) Comp II = 165cm, GS Comp III = 175cm, SG/DH The Comp II had nose/waist/tail measurements of 295/267/295mm and a running length of 135cm. This made for a sidecut radius of over 16m. I only know this stuff because I had the Comp II and I was so excited for it that I memorized the specs. The Comp I had a narrower waist, I think 255mm.
  4. Nah, didn't think you did, just saying that is part of the resulting effect. lol
  5. Yeah, unfortunately that's pretty much what it is. Your yyzcanuck logo in your sig is basically the same thing. It identifies you as someone in the industry, not just another joe. Not that there's anything wrong with being another joe, but you have to admit it sets you apart. Bordy is right, it is bullsh!t that a racer should have to identify him/herself as such to some people. It's also bullsh!t that I have to breathe second hand smoke from the guy in the chair in front of me on the chairlift. But that's life. Simple manners are a dying art.
  6. I am not saying racers owe anybody anything. I am not saying racers aren't qualified to post without a resume. I just thought it might help. Sheesh. Shouldn't everyone get treated with respect? Absolutely. Is this reality? Dream on. Someone cited the fact that Alexa Loo and Sean Martin and Bruce Varsava get treated with total respect here. Well, could that have something to do with the fact that their screen names are Alexa Loo, Donek, and Bruce Varsava? Everyone knows who they are and what they do and have done, so they have instant cred. That's just human nature. I've noticed a pattern here where if a racer gets questioned or challenged, perhaps in a flippant manner, the racer gets pissed and storms out. Many times, before they leave, the racer drops the "don't you know who I am" card. Or Bordy drops it for them. That's understandable. I'm just suggesting drop the card up front and avoid the problem. Bordy, you have a problem with disrespectful people, not BOL members. Just like some skiers have a problem with youths and punks, not snowboarders. To everyone, everyday you come here you have a choice. You can choose to enjoy the signal and ignore the noise, or you can choose to let it ruin your day. Either way, it's up to you.
  7. Unfortunately sometimes people are skeptical of new members they know nothing about. This can come across negatively towards a racer who has just joined the forum. I wish everyone would take time to learn who they are dealing with, but in reality that doesn't always happen. I think it would be helpful if racers used their forum signature to identify themselves. You can edit your signature in the user control panel - click "User CP", upper left. Perhaps you can just say something like "USSA #321" or "8th overall GS, Race to the Cup, 2006", or "FIS member since 1999" or something simple like that. Yes?
  8. it's "a lot". Not: "alot" (not a word), nor "allot" (a different word).
  9. Welcome! Cool name! ;) check out these links below, you'll probably find answers to many of your questions...
  10. Nobody has ever used that phrase. ;)
  11. Would actually work as a poor-man's EC board. With real bindings, of course. Otherwise, newb's steer clear - 13.5m is not for the uninitiated. I wonder if the guy who put "Turning Radius" on that board ever got properly sacked.
  12. It was a joke. He "corrected" my use of you're.

So Rik, your tattoos allow you to make quick judgments about people who make quick judgments?
  14. Ergometers (rowing machines) are evil. Evil evil evil. Just don't be "that guy" and use it wrong. Power stroke goes legs, back, arms. Return stroke goes arms, back, legs. Mess it up and you risk being backhanded by an actual rower. 2000 meters in under 7 minutes separates the men from the boys.
  15. lol - it's "for all intents and purposes".

that picture makes me very sad.
  17. "you're" not "your" for you are. My son's Kindergarten teacher made this mistake in the first paragraph of her first letter of the year to parents. Ahh, socialized education. edit - DOH, Neil beat me to it. But Neil, I disagree - "could care less" has no meaning and no appropriate use. Much like irregardless.
  18. Yeah, we brought this to Fin's attention. He's cool with it this time.
  19. TD1s retailed for $275. Their "bomb-proof" construction means they do not depreciate significantly in functional value. Only the existence of the TD2 makes them worth less. Before TD2s came out I sold a pair of TD1s for $200.
  20. Yes, the ability to run a wider stance, to increase mobility, and to put my knee in the middle of the board. All hardboots have built in forward lean. Many if not most have a high heel and a forward ramped sole. I find it necessary to offset this. So actually by running a 3 degree toe lift, I am probably riding with a flat front foot all things considered! Hmph!
  21. Hrm... many thanks to Stowe for the extra discount... and for the complication. We are in the process of re-negotiating our prices in light of this info. And a correction - the "regular" price of a 3 day ticket is $210. The ECES price is (was) $133. We'll all get the $90/3-day deal one way or another, but I would advise anyone attending to buy a TWS just to be sure. We're talking with Stowe to try to get this deeper discount to ripple through the rest of our pricing.
