  1. I wish I could get to Sundance more. I live in Salt Lake City. There are some great runs for carving! I have never been there for night riding though. Don't be surprised if people stop and watch you carve, most have never seen a Carver.

  3. Sorry the scene in SLC has been dying.
  4. I have bright colors and darker colors, doesn't matter, they still come too close. 1. Definitely! Don't jump the gun either. I saw a group of skiers coming and thought I could stay a head of them. Nah, they decided to go downhill and crushed my groove. 2. Been there. Thought it was clear and two boarders came out of nowhere and decided to rage past me and I almost took one out. Watch out for little kids too. I was on very wide run at Solitude and a group of about six were below me to the far right all skiing in a line together. I have plenty of room to the left but about my 3rd or 4th Toeside I come around and they are coming right towards me. Guess they tried to do a GS turn too. LOL! That was one of the quickest transitions into heelside on a 178 I ever did. 3. Keep your head on a swivel. Never had any bad encounters but lots of questions sometimes. On one particular run at Sundance, I actually witnessed everybody stop around me and watched me. I don't think they had ever seen a carver before. Hopefully our trenches will cross someday!
  5. Gossamer, perhaps we can meet up one day here in UT. I'll bring my 182 Monster.
  6. Last Monday at Sundance a Lift Operator was admiring my custom graphics on my Coiler and said..."and you have ski boots too." I told her they were actually snowboard boots and that's when the confused head tilt happened...
  7. ...but did not know where else to post it.
  8. Are there any Atomic Punk Snowboards out there? I have always wanted to try one.
  9. I am almost 58. Laying some turns this weekend. Carve on my friend!
  10. Morita, you have been holding out. Donek Nomad 195? I might be a little heavy for it? 220 rider weight.
  11. Like I told my Skier Co-Worker, If you can't handle the trenches, take more lessons or suck it up and carve on!
  12. I remember seeing a Mono-Skier at Solitude and Snowbird (Same Guy). Not too many out there like us Carvers!
  13. Snowboarder magazine did an article doing just that. Called The Chameleon Project. Most of the resorts were cool about, but the riders were kicked off the mountain.
  14. I had a co-worker that despised snowboarders. I told him I wasn't your average Boarder. I am a Alpine Carver. He said I was even worse because of the trenches. I told him "If you can't handle the trenches, you need more ski lessons." He wouldn't speak to me after that.
  15. I'm from Chicago originally, when are you going to show me some real pizza?
  16. I own an Oxygen Summit 178 (Now part of a Bench) I thought was stiff originally but then became perfect until a few years later it became "Noodley_!"
  17. I want one of those Square tails!
  18. Take up Archery to regain your strength.
  19. A few of my early Rides. One came with a warning (With the accompanying Board Bag), one came with a factory blemished base, but cleaned up nicely (Never been ridden), and the third T-Bolted! (No more Swiss Cheese) Now has some vintage Burton 3-Strap Bindings.
  20. I live in Salt Lake City, would be interested in test-drive. Rider weight?
