  1. Cateks is the only thing that kept value imho. And snowboard bag.
  2. Decided to post it here before I list it on ebay. For sale is Mammut Barryvox Pulse beacon. Never used, as I was riding alpine boards most of the last seson. Runs latest software (4.00). Still in box, with stickers on it. I tested it last year in Vail using my friends beacon, but that's it. Box got some scratches, but beacon itself is unused. Pictures of actual beacon for sale. Looking for $300.
  3. This is 2013 model I believe. Length: 163cm Waist width: 20.3cm Radius: 11.8m VSR Edge length: 146cm. I compared specs from recent SG catalogues found online (14/15, 16/17, 17/18 and current 19/20), it's all identical from year to year. I'm not aware of any changes between different seasons.
  4. For sale is my SG Slalom board. Everyone knows what this is: SL board that is versatile and fun. Will do great in gates or all mountain. Got some nicks from skiers on lifts but that's about it. I'm not a racer and decided to try something else. Looking for $450. I'm located in Chicago. 163 for sale pictured on the right. GS board is available here
  5. I got regular SG Full Race Proteam and it works amazing for me, no issues with pushing it hard or bending it. No plate, and I'm 220-230lbs.

    Coiler ECVC 175

I got similar ECVC (180x21) and this thing is amazing!
  7. I got some Butron Plates. Works well when you need it. Board feels narrower, reacts a bit faster and you boot out less then without em. I tried it with hardboots too, pretty much the same, except that I don't really need it for hardboots. I cannot comment on other plates, I'd say Gecko seems to be the best one. Burtons that I have are pretty average, I'm quite surprised I haven't broke em yet. It would be almost impossible to find Palmer PLS plates.
  8. That's what I'd do. I'd play with dynafit TLT or something like that instead of buying ATB. Might be useful for splitboarding (in case of powder) and easier to sell (just in case).
  9. Hi all. Got 185 Full Race pro team for sale. Not much use for 185cm here in Chicago. Wanna get something shorter instead. Board got minor nicks from bindings/plate, but nothing critical. Purchased few years ago from SG. Still have structure from factory. Pictures here: https://imgur.com/a/YUtiAM6 Looking for $450 Victor

    SL board

I'll take pictures and post em later this weekend

    SL board

Both boards are same year, 2013 or 2014 season I think. Same specs as modern boards: waist width, radius etc.
  12. I got SG Full Race 163cm, will post pics later if you're interested.

    SL board

163cm mens SL. I think all mens SL boards are 162-164cm. Also have 185cm mens GS, which is barely used, in case someone is looking for one

    SL board

    Yes, still have it

    SL board

I got SG Full Race Pro team, from 2014 or 2015. 15-20 days: there's no mountains in Chicago lol
  16. I got SG 185 or Coiler 180cm that might work (21cm wait, radius a bit smaller then typical GS).
  17. I bought Driver X last year. Lots of PITA with laces (Coming from Malamutes), too tight, even after heating liner. Ended with black nail and almost ruined my season. My UPC RC10 (9.5, 312mm, when I wear US11.5-12 street shoe) not only fit like a glove, but also give immediate response and much more control.
  18. I heard same things. I know Marcel offered to rebuild board a few times, after a few attemps. I highly value such customer experience, but I'm not a pro-racer and I prefer to save some $ a bit if possible. You can get used SG and it will ride as any other SG.
  19. But how you know that custom board will be what you need? I have a few friends who ordered Kesslers based on their previous models (i.e. copy of my own boards) and it was not a copy. ended up being worse. With SG you can try someonelses board and get same model/lenth and be 100%(okay, 95%) sure it will be the same
  20. I always thought that Womens SL is 157, mens SL 163. Waist is 19.x and 20.x respectfully. Board can be 163cm long, but stiffer or softter
  21. I think I was following Everett Mc Evan on insta, and he recently posted that he broke 3rd bail in past 3 weeks. Of course he got several pairs of bindings in rotation. I think most of the people (myself included) replaced T-nuts and check em from time to time. However bail can break too, and there's no solution for that.

    Donek AF Plate

I got Apex V2 plate with both 4x4 and UPM mounts.
  23. Are you open to metal boards? I have something that might fit
  24. I was using Malamutes for years, last seson tried Driver X - it was totally painful and I hated it: stupid liner tongue design, broke laces twice and etc. Got new malamute and not going back. Malamutes are a tad bigger then Driver X, but also roomier. I have em both in US11, but my street size is US11.5-US12. For 215-220lbs you might need a longer board. At 220 I'm riding 173 Chairman and perfectly fine. Consider BX boards: way more fun if you can handle and not doing any freeride my $0.02

    USASA racing questions

I was doing that 2 years ago and it was pretty cool. Too bad that I was the only one in my age-group and it made it less fun. If it was more competitive I'd join that for sure. Idk if I need active USASA membership (I don't have for this year), but I'm in Chicago and Milwaukee is pretty close here. I'm pretty sure there're some "Midwest Best" races this season - check how many people compete in your age group.
