  1. Hey Doc, may I ask what liners you used before that?
  2. I'm THIS CLOSE *looks through a small gap between thumb and pointer* to buying a pair of point 951. Just wondering if I should go down my usual route of Palau overlaps or perhaps try foam or cork injected liners... Anyone here had experience with these? Maybe someone has used both and could compare? Good experiences? Bad ones? Perhaps ones that didn't fit and you hated them and threw them in the trash and then lit the trash on fire? I'm interested to hear about any experiences with these before I go and pay someone to blow their foam all over my feet. -DD
  3. I personally love the Intec system :) Convenient, reliable, safe and readily available!
  4. GRAY GRAY GRAY IS THE BEST ... sorry. just aboard that ol' hype train In saying that, I did like the TR. Not sure if it's worth the billion dollars that they charge. I'll get a Desperado on sale for my gf for next year :) A this is the China I know too well...
  5. They're dedicated carving machines meant for forward stance. Softboot equivalent of say an SG Full Carve. Not meant to be powder or freeride boards. Gray make that also, if you're interested in a Gray Snowboardo ;)
  6. Oh is Dan located in Canuckstan. Well... You learn something everyday. Considering I've bought from him multiple times, I should probably know that...
  7. Maybe Dan Yoja @ http://upzboots.com would be interested in importing and distributing two brands of highly sought after boots.
  8. Yeah. That. I have long skinny feet and they didn't even work for me =/
  9. This is the strap you want...
  10. Ah the classic jib carve. My speciality.
  11. Great, thanks for that, appreciate your help!
  12. I dunno, not sure I can ride a "jib machine" ...
  13. Don't hesitate to buy from @skategoat. Great guy, honest seller and keeps all his gear in top shape. In saying that, I love my centre discs
  14. Have you moved the ladders into the closer to buckle holes? I recently moved mine in on my RC10.
  15. @ 7 M I N U T E S He has an isolation plate ... Anyone know which it is? Looks like a fat Vist plate!
  16. I had one. A 161 about 12 years ago. My second last softboot board. Bought a never summer premier I never rode after that before my first ever coiler.
  17. Don't you mean 22cm wide... BOAT? Jokes. Hoho.
  18. Yep. About 8 of us (I'm the only gaijin) all ride hardboots and half also carve softboot on some variations of Gray Desperado boards. Feel free to join, I'm there all Feb every Feb. But in Nagano, not Niseko. Niseko is like the Kuta of Japan (full of drunk Aussies). I feel you regarding the food and cost. Convenience store meals couldn't get any better. Ahh memories of dipping my feet into the foot Onsen overlooking the valley while eating a few 150JPY Lawson chicken and a coke for lunch. Sashimi chefs cutting up fresh fish in the supermarket deli all day (200g of tuna for 1000JPY waow). Premium wagyu costing about 5000-7500JPY/kg (costs 10x that at home in a restaurant). Come 5 o clock all the sashimi is half price and after 1 day the wagyu is 30% off. For 35 days I spent a couple of hundred under my budget of USD4000 all tolled including flights, transfers, insurance, food, season pass (bought it for 50,000, sold it for 15,000), accommo, a few days at a specialty powder resort, even bought a couple of overpriced hakuba edition the north face t shirts.
  19. Any reason why you don't want to try a Full Carve? General consensus from what I've heard is it's a better carving board and the Full Race is better for racing. That's coming from a few guys but the one I trust most is a racer, who much prefers his Full Carves for recreational carving. Says the flex pattern is different, not just the different construction. In saying that out of those boards, I've only ridden a Kessler and an SG Full Carve. I prefered the Full Carve by miles. But that's just me ... I personally had trouble making full linked Cs on the big Kessler, also. Kind of just wanted to point me down the fall line now that could also be attributed to my crappy riding, but who knows. Have you considered going for a floating isolation plate instead of the Vist, like a Boiler Plate or say Apex plate?
  20. Do you have your RC10s handy by any chance? Was wondering if you could measure from inside the shell at the heel to the top of the cuff and perhaps compare it to the .951?
