  1. Interesting. I've sprained my rear ankle twice in my RC10 going over some extreme bumpy terrain. I wonder if I'm suffering from the same thing... I hadn't even considered that.
  2. Right. Thanks for that. Seems like they would fit my foot if they cater for small heels / low volume feet. The higher cuff is what attracts me to the 951, in particular. I've got the rcr cuff on my RC10 for next season along with the ratchety shoxxter strappy thing, which makes it higher. But might move that to my diver x and get the g style top strap (the best in the biz imo) for my RC10. Hmmmm options and first world problems.
  3. Can I ask you about your foot shape? I have a particularly low volume foot in addition a narrow heel, medium toe box. Any chance you know the difference in shape/volume of the 951 compared to the RC10? I had to get my Deeluxe punched in the toe but not for the UPZ and the heel hold is great on my RC10 with Palau liners.
  4. Umm.. Err.. I had a response for this then realised I was wasting my time..
  5. What are your thoughts on the stiffest tongues? I've been tempted to try them...
  6. They can be found.. http://www.xyz-net.co.jp/ccb/universal_cant.html
  7. Shred, why not driver x? Not a fan? I think I'm going to roll with Flow nx2-gt bindings, but not entirely sure yet.
  8. Do you know which model is the carbon version?
  9. I don't have them but a guy I ride with uses them and LOVES them. He has the stiff pair and weighs around 100kg and rides an SG Full Carve 180 with SG hard plate and F2 bindings as his daily. I'm seriously considering a pair but with my UPZ fitting perfectly and with a couple of new buckles to stop rubbing, rcr cuffs, palau liners, rear intec heel ... it's a tough pill to swallow. Kind of wish I still had my ill fitting Deeluxes so I have an excuse to swap...
  10. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. So maybe the idea wasn't so crazy after all...
  11. Cry baby alert- he probably also lobbied to get half the alpine discipline of snowboarding removed. I think I noticed not just Cheever running Geckos- were there others?
  12. Oh you mean don't have any interstellar rockets handy? Some postal service you are... PMd.
  13. I have a Donek Nomad 164 customised in a narrow waist. This it with hardboots. Love it in powder and trees.
  14. One of the guys I ride with rides only SG. He says the Full Race are good for racing and the Full Carve he much prefers for freecarving. In saying that I've only used the 170 Full Carve and loved it. In fact I'm buying one now. He also rides a 180 Full Carve. But he's a big guy 220lb and can ride hard. I cannot ride as hard as him. Love that ride with me vid
  15. Same. I've also put in enquiries with Oxess, Kessler and Apex. But at the moment the DO looks decent, but I still feel the Type-R is best. But price is almost on the prohibitive side of life.
  16. Is it just me or does the SCR seem back to front on the DO?
  17. How much did the DO cost? How many crabshells? Tell me dammit!
  18. Sounds like you guys know more about this than me. Sad to see bomber go. Followed it from the very beginning. Even though never bought anything directly from them. A pair might pop up on the buy and sell.
  19. The D.O looks dece. 165 that is.
  20. Nice board for a lighter or less aggressive rider.
  21. Been researching some stuff softboot carving stuff recently. Just occurred to me. I love my Apex plate. I refuse to ride without it. In fact I sprained my ankle 4 seasons ago when I removed my boiler plate- didn't realise how chopped up the run was and bang. Are full iso plates (like apex or allflex or whatever) a thing for softboot carving boards? I know they're not. Any reason anyone can think of why they'd be a bad thing? Or a good thing? Or.. Anything?
