There are more avenues to 'social media' than just making a Facebook page. For you to ask this I guess you are new to the whole social media thing (correct me if I'm wrong), if you're interested in knowing more about it, I suggest first looking here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_social_networking_websites. There are many successful strategies one can employ to help an online business, such as Bomber.

Does bomber have an online marketing strategy for social media?

Bomber to include facebook as part of its marketing would be a wonderful way to introduce the sport to a new generation and also drum up more traffic and business. Anyone refuting that has rocks in their head. Maybe the old, stale and grumpy kind from here who are too set in their ways wouldn't bother with it, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. But that's not everyone, even someone who is 71 (like myself) would check out the facebook if Bomber had one. Business is business and if one only caters to an aging population, the business is bound to die.
  4. He's just trying to drive up hype and traffic on the forum, lay off him.

I have lurked this forum since its inception. I only made an account since I noticed the traffic is way down on what it used to be. It's unfortunate to say the least. The friendly atmosphere also seems to have somewhat diminished (which possibly contributes to the community not bothering to post much anymore). I guess without the Mad Killer, this forum might be completely dead. But yay for board sales ... I guess?
  6. There are a few people like that around here. You just have to get used to it.
  7. Or possibly an opportunity to give up alpine snowboarding altogether and take up freestyle jib noodleboarding.
  8. Sounds like it is someone who knows you...
  9. I've never kept anything valuable in my storage locker. I've heard of many stories of these broken into.
  10. Now that's a beautiful board. Sorry for you loss.
  11. I'm not quite sure what you're referring to. Personally, I don't think it's a good idea to make assumptions about, well, anything. :)
  12. I can second this, but I'd definitely swap out those stiff TD1 for a set of nice F2 bindings.
  13. If "people here" refers to forum members, your assumption must be grossly overstated. Personally, I've had TD2 and TD3 bindings and didn't know whether Full Tilt ski boots would fit into TD2. Although, I now prefer the lighter and more natural flex of the F2 bindings. What bindings do you currently use @swampoodle?
  14. Yip, I'm the same. Walk mode feel horrid to me.
  15. @Jack Michaud, I think @swampoodle said TD2, not TD3. Perhaps @Jim Callen would be the best one to answer this question since he owns Bomber Industries, the manufacturer of the TD2. Surprised he hasn't chimed back in yet. This mystery will one day be solved, lads, don't worry.
  16. @corey_dyck any moving part will wear over time. I just found my Deeluxe boots were annoyingly always having broken parts. Ugh @Jack Michaud great that you're trying UPZ. Hope they work out for you. @swampoodle did @Jim Callen end up contacting you regarding the fit of the Full Tilt boots fitting into the Bomber TDII bindings? I'm actually curious about this myself. It's a shame that Bomberonline doesn't offer the great UPZ boot for all the loyal members here. It would be a great service.
  17. Is it even a hinge? Err. I'm not good with technical words. Sorry.
  18. There is a reasonably detailed guide detailing the fit of different boots somewhere, I'll see if I can find it. I think Fin also did a write up or video? It escapes my memory. My feet are super happy in UPZ :D @Jack Michaud. I know you're quite knowledgeable. Have you ever heard of any ankle hinge issues on the Deeluxe 700's?
  19. @swampoodle I believe UPZ make a softer, lighter boot called the ATB. Horses for courses. Quality issues aside, Deeluxe never fit my lower volume feet properly. @corey_dyck how did he wear them out? Never really heard of a boot being worn out. Interesting. Liners yes, boots, not so much. I have replaced my liners with Palau liners though, stock ones weren't to my liking. The Palau are quite nice, I must say. A lot of UPZ riders use Palau liners, I've come to notice.
  20. The boot that fits right and has quality construction is a good boot for you. Personally, I've had a terrible experience with Deeluxe boots over the years. I've owned a pair of 700's and 325's. The 700's ankle hinge basically self destructed. Then the 325's I had, had issues with the buckles. The liners were worthless, also. Overall, the boots gave me nothing but quality issues. Then I moved to UPZ RC10. The quality of these babies was immense. Day in and day out, just perfect, no issues, no quality problems, and I've used them for years now with something like 30-50 days on them per season. Additionally, the built in spring system is excellent quality. More and more people that I know have moved from Deeluxe to UPZ. Some notes about fit: Deeluxe: WIDE HEEL and NARROW TOE UPZ: NARROW-MEDIUM HEEL and MEDIUM-WIDE TOE @Jim Callen, aren't you the current owner of bomberonline? Or is that someone else? Do you know the answer to his question regarding the fit of the Full tilt classic ski boots in the TDII?
  21. Ah well, you know what they say.
  22. From experience (family lawyers) naming and shaming is something that can and will end you up in court. The hassle, time and cost involved is never worth it, I assure you. Not over an ancient snowboard, anyway. The board had value to him/her, unfortunately that doesn't mean much in court. In fact, if the tech says the performance of the board has been "greatly enhanced" and "It is a cosmetic thing as it is not in an area where it effects the performance of the board", then I think it is obvious that the shop tech is willing to defend his/her actions. It may be that even though the pass was 1 too many, as claimed, the shop tech still believes this was the best course of action. If Prunes decides to "name and shame" and if the shop decides to take Prunes to court over this, and the judge, or whatever the ruling party is, sides with the shop tech, Prunes will be in all sorts of trouble and will incur all sort of costs and depending on how savvy the shop tech is, this may be drawn out for years purposely. You just need to get some guy who had a bad day and is willing to go out of his way to make your life difficult. And trust me, there are plenty. It's never a win-lose situation, if the ruling party sides with Prunes, then all the time and hassle is still not worth it, but on the plus side, he'd/she'd probably be awarded the market value of the snowboard. Given it is 20-something years old and taking depreciation into effect with a floor value, he/she might get $50 and a refund of the actual grind. IMO and from experience, these roads are not ones you want to go down. Ever. If Prunes' goal is to get something from the shop for this then it is best to act the victim, be polite and suggest a resolution and perhaps he/she can find a compromise with the shop owner. Legal things aside and talking from a human standpoint now, I'd take it as a lesson learned- don't trust some dopey shop tech with your equipment, no matter how old and edge high the equipment is. Or a better idea may be to get a true bar and learn a bit about tuning yourself so you can make such decisions and protect your equipment.
