  1. In the 19/20's lineup this graphics were standard for the Full Carve Titan Models (look in their board history here). So that's a serial, not a custom board; not being a bad thing thought.
  2. What's the difference from the standard Full Race Titan from the 19/20 line up, where they had the STR grafics?
  3. It's really a great feeling, if it's done right - like embracing the world. The following video shows some good examples of fast and powerful extreme carving, in a fashion I like to achieve (you'll spot the parts I mean ): To me the EC technique is also a tool in you carving toolbox, which gives you additional variability and new sensations. Some like it, sometimes
  4. Nice riding of you all. Thanks for sharing.
  5. Here is a little riders video from our reserved slope:
  6. Interesting how far the ten year old concept Ⓟ of my Laydown Kangaroo friends has come
  7. Just easier for adjustment and tread it back. So you can even turn without removing it.
  8. We use zip ties. Withstands and easy to remove for later adjustments.
  9. Here in Switzerland soft boot carving definitely isn't that relevant as it is in Asia (Japan, Korea). But it might have some momentum in the future. The Oxess CX (276mm waist)and the Kessler X-Carve (260 mm waist) are both softboot carvers, but in their serial specs they're not what you would consider as wide. Both being custom board builders they might build them wider. Other European soft boot carving boards would be the SG Soul, Virus X-Carve, Nobile N8, Swoard Stoke.
  10. Last Saturday a "Next Level Jerry" approached me; my ruts would be too big. I shall not carve the whole slope and respect the others. Those trenches would be very dangerous, when he hits them at 80 km/h (50mph) When I mentioned that 80 km/h were way too fast on a black diamond, he disagreed. In disbelief I took note of that and laughed out loud
  11. More BDSM Wonder if vinyl is more robust than polyurethane to withstand strong abrasion BTW, there is an arctic version: https://www.jokasafe.fi/en/gloves/jokasafe-gloves/2-jokaarctic-snowstop
  12. Me and my carver friends use neoprene glue. The products are either SeamGrip or Aquasure/Aquaseal available in 8 oz tubes. Both are polyurethane based, flexible and yet very durable. It's transparent and glossy, so it gives your clothes sort of a BDSM look , while keeping the original color. I use tape to mark out the ares I want to coat with it. It's easy to apply on clothes/gloves with a silicone spatula. After applying, let it dry a bit and take the tape away. Avoid contact with other surfaces and let it dry completely for about 2 days in a well ventilated room (has a strong, unhealty chemical smeel, till it's dry).
  13. Moon&Carve 2023 was great And now we have a cool video about it Moon & Carve 2023 - A Swiss Chäsbrägel Eventli for Carvers filmed and produced by FILMWERK BERGLUFT
  14. The better of a snowboarder you are, the better you can benefit from good, dedicated equipment to expand your limits. Therefore it depends on the balance between your riding skills and the benefits of a dedicated carving snowboard. Both will grow, your skills and your need for better equipment, if that's what you want.
  15. Every board will break, if you put enough stress on it But of course there are sometimes issues with the chosen materials or production process. For example; I saw delaminated boards (form different brands) caused by stress, nicks form crashes or even production flaws. Sometime these are hard to notice and if you don't fix it, the wooden core may be exposed to humidity, which in turn will effect its sturdiness against the forces applied to it. Kessler's are no exceptions, but they are definitely not known for bad quality. My last two boards I broke were both Völkl Racetigers years ago. Since then I had different F2, Goltes, Kessler, Oxess, Coiler and non of them broke, including a Kessler 162.
  16. You edge will suffer but if you have to do that: https://www.tooltonic.com/en/ice-catcher/1-ice-catcher-over-sharpener
  17. Here is a small update Until now the following manufacturers are confirmed and present their latest gear: Oxess, SG Snowboards, Virus, Cue, Goltes. Not quite 100% yet: Sense and Sinline Plates You'll have a decent pool of board to test (some also for sale) Photos will be taken at our reserved slope 121 or where you don't expect it Also a few coaches are there again: - Lo - does narrow board carving - Peter (nextcarve) - laydowns first steps or race - Brani - Laydowns for experienced riders This year the base is on the side of Elsigenalp near the double ski lift. Reserved slope nr. 121 Approach: Either from Elsigbach via gondola up or via Metschalp with the lift up and connecting slope 116 over. We are looking forward to have a great session PS: We wish all at the Montucky Clear CUT 2023 a great time
  18. There you have it. That's why we have more fun, longer If just everyone was an extreme carver.
  19. Do that every second run to fill the ruts:
  20. @crackaddictNo need to apologize. Sometimes it's good to play the devils advocate It was the start for an inspiring conversation, I think. And like I already posted early in this thread - your riding is really great I also like to watch your videos, really smooth carving. Nice "Softboot" setup you got there though Reminds me on Hardboots
  21. Full ack, first counter, then rotation.
  22. I empathize :-)) By the way, am I the only one who doesn't see emojis anymore in the posts of this forum?
  23. Hehe, seems like reading my latest post was not the priority of this comment. Otherwise you would have noticed, that it's not my "damn" (why so angry) phone, video and it's not me riding in softboots. Anyway; I really don't care if anyone appreciates my input, but believe it or not, I don't lose my edge even on steeper and worse runs than on my video (I know, if it's not on video ....). As a last try (and against my last posts intention not too post videos of others again :-) I post a video of a korean rider (no me). Maybe you can spot how he applies just the right amount of rotation at the heel side: In the end everyone has to follow his path/track/carve and there's not only one way.
