  1. I suggest you ask your questions about Swoard snowboards on the ExtremeCarving forum. There you might get more profound information (probably from the founders).
  2. I use pond liner and stick it at my arm with velcro. Some use use P-TEX. Both is very durable.
  3. Will there be an intec version?
  4. The tutorial I shared is not about hard- or soft boots, it's about EC technique, which can be applied with both kind of boots. The video above (from Ben) is another very good tutorial, but with no textual, but good visual explanations.

  6. I'm using the Palau ALPINE HARD thermo line and they just fit perfect.
  7. Hi Atom Ant I'm a native swiss and I hope I can give you some hints: 1. Snow conditions in switzerland are not bad in general, but it varies from season to season. Last season was starting very late. It was very warm in december, but that's unusual. At least the rest of the season I had a really great time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ah0RkHX81LY . I love to ride in the Elsigen-Metsch area (Kanton-Bern) which is not that big and crowded, but has great slopes. 2. The largest ski areas around Zug are "Engelbert-Titlis" & "Hoch-Ybrig". The following site is a really great source for all ski areas in Switzerland. Here is the link for central Switzerland part, where Zug is situated: http://www.bergfex.com/luzern-vierwaldstaettersee/ 3. Prices may vary from site to site between CHF 45-80 per day. Mostly its about CHF 60 (See bergfex.com). 4. I live in Kanton Bern which has two well known areas within your 2 hour range; Grindelwald & Meiringen/Hasliberg. For race boarding I recommend Grindelwald, for freeriding Meiringen/Hasliberg is great. Feel free to send a PM, if you're around. 5. This site is a great source for the actual snow conditions and avalanche dangers. Hope this helps.
  8. I'm still not convinced of your hand helmets. One of the most common injuries in snowboarding are wrist fractures and your "protection" may lead to an even higher risk. The best way to prevent yourself from injuries is not to fall or to practice correct falling as shown in this video. https://youtu.be/PPQMRLl14cM?t=18s Second best is a good protection (like this) which does not involve other risk. Anyway; I hope you have a save season in NZ.
  9. Wow, this construction even protects your brain. How does this work. I use a helmet for that (my brain wouldn't fit). I can see your goal and getting hurt is not what you want. But with your construction I would be afraid to cut my wrists while EC'ing. And using your hands as support wheels is bad technic and dangerous at the same time (even with your brain protector ). Sooner or later your whole arm will get slogged back and your shoulder joint is dislocated. Try not to touch the snow, as long as you ride like shown in your videos (lift your hands). If your getting lower in your turns, touch the snow with your forearm (like rails in front of you), while lifting up your hands at the same time. This technic will protect your hands and your shoulders at the same time To protect the forearm you might use some of these. I'm not against protectors, but yours look dangerous to me. PS: My bike is this one, but I use it without support wheels ;-)
  10. What a joy ride we had at our favorite ski area Elsigen-Metsch, Switzerland:
