  1. I thought deeluxe didn't do 1/2 sizing on shells
  2. Weather will be great too. Just finishing up the new firepit patio area.
  3. If they don't sell, bring them to the party. Coiler bait
  4. I have used Facebook groups, bomber, Craigslist, etc... I most recently bought and sold via bomber and got to speak to a couple new bomber friends. One I have "horse traded" with via the free forum I have enjoyed so much and one that recently took over half the reigns here at Bomber by purchasing some upgrades and loose parts. Use don't abuse and always shop at Bomber.
  5. I have a good a couple good friends that rip Ocean Beach in San Francisco in the winter. Purely strapless. They are nuts. Flat water and straps are old to them. I got proficient at it and then got served up. That was enough for me at least for now
  6. So isolated, you forget you are on a snowboard
  7. I thought he had a great fall line style. I like the Chargers...
  8. I recently bought a lib Emma and an Emma-gator having fond memories of riding the crap out of them in the PNW way back when. They were both shit compared to the boards I'm on today. Chatter boxes and felt dead. You are only missing the memories of what might have been. Trust me.
  9. As some of us know Kelly's Camp was the Shiznittobang! Kelly Jo running the show, Craig showing up for a day or two. Burt, Goodwill, Jason Brown, Estes, Heine The 90's were good.
  10. Bumping this for any local carvers. Please pm me for address. 2pm to ? Most of the tuning/ wrenching goes on early. The rest Is eating/drinks/socializing/gear swap. If you don't want it? Bring it. Someone may need your old goggles/etc...
  11. I'm seeking a 5 board quiver 1. Freestyle twin 2. BX/ softy carver 3. Big freestyle for pow 4. Freecarve alpine (slalom) 5. Carve/alpine specific (GS) So this board fits position 4. I just sold a 165 bamboo core freecarve that was very stiff but I rode it in softies with power plates. Worked great great in cut and crud but was medicore in firm and required constant input. Rewarded by it, or served if you relaxed. So... I had Sean make me a saber that was similar but softboot specific. The saber with power plates is my go to unless I am playing (twin) or going Hardboots. So that leads me to my alpine specific boards. I have bought and ridden several small-large sized alpine boards over the last 2 seasons and realized what I liked and didn't like about each board. To summarize, smaller sidecuts I liked. Vsr I liked. Stiffer with some damp and good amounts of pop I liked. I did not like big sidecut and longer length. I did not like single radius sidecut (exception on my twin). I did not like overly damp and soft. My go to alpine rides will be this 167 FC and a 175 rev with a 4mm upm boiler plate and td-3 step ins on td-2 lowers. The FC I'll start with sidewinder step ins and evolve from there. I would love to collaborate with a manufacturer to build a softboot binding similar to the Catek fr-2 but with less pieces. So think gecko plate /meets power plates /meets Catek FR. Through my affiliation with EEKOE.COM (Shameless plug) I'd like to do it with Flow and Dale Rehberg. I have ridden mainly softboots and Flow since 95'. Let's hope for a great winter!
  12. Thank you Donek for making the exact board in the evolution path I'm headed down. I know it's a demo but I know with a little tuning love, it will be amazing! 167 FC wide 23.5 waist Carbonium top 10.4-12.4 vsr This builds off the original 165 FC I purchased from big Canuck/evolving into my extra stiff and half as damp 165/24.8/ 9-11vsr saber. A little more length, a little less waist and a slightly bigger SCR. Wow!
  13. Demo to buy plan? I'm into it but I'm mainly on wide freecarve/BX boards.
  14. I just switched from deeluxe track 700 to upz. I removed the plastic coarse thread screws that hold the toe piece on and replaced them with t-nuts. Heels already came with t-nuts. I used m-5/14mm screws and nuts. Remember, safety third
  15. And that's how bomber works. Can't wait to make some turns and see you all at ATC!
  16. I love the charging style. I don't like the up and down between turns. Almost seems like wasted movement but there are a handful of these softbooter a that really get after it.
  17. These trailers are great. How about the whole damned movie....
  18. I ordered a stiff saber with 1/2 the rubber dampening. Also shortened up the side cut to 9-11 to feel more like a slalom deck. The result is a free-ride BX that I absolutely love. Stoked to have picked up a demo 167fc wide with a narrower waist at 23.5 and a slightly longer sidecut at 10.4-12.4. Going to be my Hardboot version of the BX.
