  1. If it doesn't work out... Mount them on the dynastar... I don't like boards without bindings
  2. I'll post up a couple vids of Chris and Kim slaying Gunsmoke. Super fun hanging out and riding with the family. MLK weekend looks probable. June has been all time folks. The grooming is superb and compared to the Holiday Zoo at Mammoth, June is empty. The only line I waited in was the one back down J1 at the end of the day...saw another hardbooter on an Alp but never caught up. Happy New Year. SNES???!!!
  3. I'll be at June on 30th and 31st with the kids. Probably have them in a lesson at some point so I can squeeze in some laps. 30th looks like the best day. We are staying in mammoth. It will be my girlfriend and our 3 kids. Wayne 8, Julia 12, Logan 13. All are able to ride chairlift solo. I'm getting old, might need help loading and unloading...
  4. I have some very very used ones.
  5. I have some very very used ones.
  6. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Wi4N4duxwgk This is great. I'm not a micron kind of guy... But sharp edges and good wax are always a good thing. I do this but use 3 levels of gummy stones to file up nicely
  7. Heading up for the weekend. Looks like wind and snow on Saturday. I'm thinking June baby!!! Mammy on Sunday with a 2pm departure. Poop brown coat/ blue pants/ black ruroc helmet/ on a Donek of some kind
  8. There has been a blue175 Donek for years for $740. A nice board. Just not $740 nice... http://m.ebay.com/itm/Donek-Free-Carve-2-Alpine-Race-Snowboard-175-FC2-/172006261737?nav=SEARCH
  9. There is a local liftie at June Mountain I see riding an undertaker. He seems to like it... JG rocked a Rossi judge in softies like a Judge and Jury...
  10. It's a tough time for sure. Balancing fun with form and function. Clothing, potty breaks, sniffles, instruction.... It was a monumental task especially with two kids all by myself. I've had help the last two seasons and our future looks amazing. Mammoth over New Years should be a blast since everyone can load/offload by themselves! Next season we will have left So Cal for South Denver. Littleton/Centennial area. Leaving the rat race to sit on I70 with everyone else!
  11. It wasn't a pow day. It wasn't hero corduroy. It was a day on the bunny slope with my son and daughter. Just had to share. They put up with me as their teacher for the last few seasons. My daughter broke her back last December slipping and falling in an icy parking lot. My stubborn son did it his way and we all were just lapping each other. Pure bliss.
  12. I'm loving my glass 167 freecarve wide.
  13. Would love to hook up Will but I think our December schedules are opposite. Be up for night of lights weekend. Saturday at June most likely to avoid the crowds and the Mammoth Sunday. Back up 29th-1st
  14. Big t-nuts are your friend.
  15. If this board is not sold. I'm interested. For me and a friend
  16. The ladies in the beginning and the monopolization segments were the best! I grew up in So Cal and had the privilege during my formative years to have Warren Miller actually narrate live on stage on several occaisions at Redondo Union High School auditorium. Other than those two segments, the movie was boring. It was filled with way too many snippet clips as I call them. Where each clip goes by so fast you have to close your eyes to avoid an epileptic seizure... Smooth panning long shots filled with stoke and awe were substituted for close up and repeat shots. I don't think anyone made more than 3 turns in any one clip. Seth and Rob were entertaining and charismatic and I would love watching two hours of just their adventure to Kathmandu over the entirety of this clip fest. On another note. I would love to see a production of carving videos that demonstrate and highlight our sport/s (as I am rolling the mono guys into our culture because skiers had disowned them long ago) a solid 42 minutes of ripping turns would be sick! I've seen the great edits from past trenching conventions and expression sessions but a real movie would be pretty cool
  17. I hate typing on my phone as I'm usually a stickler for spelling. Just re read my posting.
  18. They are the newer/not newest baseplates. I'm like an oddball half size. I'm a super wide 8 1/2. It's all good. I did research and due diligence. I just got some old shells for next to nothing and started playing around. Put my 27 liners in the punched out 26 and so forth. T-nutted the toe blocks and such. And fortunately found an issue with a t-nut I put in on my 27's so not a big deal. I'm in the same boat on deeluxe. 26 is just to small and 27 is a little big in the toe box. Upz does fit me better overall though and no reall modifications needed with the stock liner. Although I'm going to take up some room under the pad of my foot to fill up the toe box just a little. Hopefully cure the stiletto feeling I'm getting as well especially on the front foot. But knowing that a 26 upz shell works on td-3 sidewinder standard but not on sidewinder is good to know. Great bindings and great boots... And a great forum to discuss. Thanks all
  19. Well. My Mp26 UPZ Rc 10 do not fit the Sidewinder Step in. Only way to possibly make them fit that I have found is to flip the heel on the binding. I'm thinking running my much newer but slightly bigger Mp 27 will have to do. It's minimal. The Mp26 boots I have were seriously punched out in all the right ways for my foot. But the feel of the sidewinder is worth it. Thank goodness EEKOE make a thick and a thin sock. I got to demo these last weekend and they were fantastic.
