  1. So stoked for the season just gotta share what's coming my way! Not here yet but very excited about how it will ride and rail! A Moss Snowstick that's really meant for Hardboots! Tahoe Sports Hub in Truckee will have the only other AP67 in the US available as a demo board! ....and they being the only US dealer also have the full lineup of 2017-18 Moss Snowsticks available to buy or demo! Drop in and ask for the Moss Master, Kenny Good! I'll post up some photos when it arrives and a review when I've had some time on it........... Think Snow!
  2. Well somebody flipped a switch cause it's working now!!!! Thanks Admin Gods!
  3. Hi Alexey, I'd be happy to ride any 175 Bulat...............but prefer a medium stiffness. What happens if the board falls apart or breaks while in my possession ???? Who's responsible for damages?? Here in the states we never hear of any Titanal failures from Donek or Coiler boards..............
  4. I'll Play Alexey- Interested in Bulat 175
  5. Hey Brees, My Prancercise membership is all up to date, thank you very much,....as surely you must know Prancercise was started here in Tahoe......what else is there to do in the backed up lift lines!! Hey Alpine Girl? Yeah, I'm on the snow 5-7 days a week all season for work..... and pleasure...so maybe I should look into more of a maintenance/recovery programs....but at 61 years of age my 6'2" and 220lbs. needs to be low impact!!! A more specific reason I bought the Tacx smart trainer last winter was to help me to be more prepared for my second Eroica 100 mile vintage bicycle race which is in early April in Paso Robbles...............and as it's still winter here in Squaw at that time, very rarely can you get any outside mileage. Now I can say even with the higher mileage average I achieved with the smart trainer I didn't preform any better for the 2nd Eroica race than having trained on my indoor bike rollers the previous/previous winter for my 1st Erocia race. So in retrospect indoor training, smart or otherwise just doesn't equate to outdoor mileage! I know, Duh! ...but it was worth a try. So yes I agree with your cycling friends.....I'm also going to wait until Feb. to start my cycling rollers training for the 2018 cycling season and 2018 Eroica race. As for my current "gym work" we have a small free weight gym here on campus and all I do is a short session of chest, biceps and tricep 3-5 increasing sets each, 3x.... to maintain....but want to add another .....element?.... combine routine? I' don't know what yet, obviously!
  6. Hey Admin...........In the hunt for Power Plates/lower TD3 assembly I'm trying to stay on top of what's getting listed in the For Sale forum..... I've clicked "Follow" in the For Sale Forum...and to be notified when each new content is added....and I have updated my preferences.......but I'm not getting any email notifications ??? When I go into "how your notifications are sent" I see on the Notification List that under Messenger listing the "I receive a message via "List" or "email" is grayed out and when I hover over those buttons it says "administrator has disabled this option" Am I missing something here??
  7. Thanks Brees Yeah, that's what I have been thinking...thanks for affirming my thoughts.........
  8. Good info guys...... I would like to join a gym for some crossfit and or combine for something different ......... what about yoga? I could only make it two evenings a week, that could make a difference I guess.........
  9. I think this is on topic for us Carving Central minded, but I'm sure it'll get moved if needed............ Last season I bought a Tacx Bushido smart trainer (aka: expensive $600 wind trainer!) to use for indoor cycling training sessions Smart trainers are indoor cycling wind trainers that connect to online training programs through your PC, laptop, tablet, smartphone...etc I used "Zwift" for $10 per month, It's like a personal video game format where riders from all over the world are online with you pedaling and sweating away on exotic courses where the difficulty actually increases on ascents and decreases on the descents through the trainer.....you even feel the bumps/cobbles in the road with the more expensive smart trainers! It did keep me more challenged and entertained and therefore I did ride more and/or longer throughout our long winter here at 6500ft in Squaw Valley.....which did get my legs and lungs more ready for when I actually could get back out on the road in late April. I'd say my winter miles per week increased from 100 to 150 miles per week via the smart trainer.....but it didn't increase my mileage or performance on my summer mileage or race placings, which averages 150-250 miles per week with usually 6 or more Centuries or Gran Fondo's each summer/fall. Additionally, I didn't feel in any better shape or stronger with my carving/riding during the winter season than the season prior before the smart trainer. So, finally to the point......I'm considering not using the smart trainer until towards the end of the winter season and picking up some other program that will help my carving/riding Now, this winter! Let's here what are your top one, two or three (work out?) programs that you think made a definite impact on your carving/riding??
  10. Thanks QQ, Yeah I tried Bola already.......that's a no go
  11. Thanks Dan.............. I already called...they order as needed ......from Bomber..so no go - Ugh!
  12. Just talking to Russ at YYZ, (in looking for Bomber Power Plates) he only has TD3 standard....no SI
  13. Interested........How many are you willing to stuff in there and what's the cost?
  14. Getting desperate for some Power Plate bindings.......do you guys know of any other shops besides YYZ that carried Bomber??
  15. blue-tomato.com All models available with choice of moldable liners or standard. I prefer standard liner which is main reason why I ordered from them......Bomber only sold models with moldable liner
  16. Got an email my Burton Step On boot/binding system has been shipped! Now all I need to complete the trifecta is a set of Bomber Power Plate bindings. Anybody?
  17. Ditto! Erazz I second the nomination! I'm sure all the haters are going to burn me on the stake, but can we get back to our regularly scheduled broadcast here of relevant news, legitimate concern and possible solutions................or lock it out! #2tiredofseeingthisthread All in favor say aye!
  18. Great idea Partisan! Pre Season - Trying to not get hurt before season starts is high on my list currently! - Add compound exercise routine to my daily road biking and 3x weekly weight training - to hopefully help in avoiding getting hurt during season! In Season - Stay low(er) and Go Fast(er)! - Get some video footage for the Bomber Sages to help in refining my efforts at EC - Aiming for a season of 120+ days on the hill - - Give Burton "Step On" system a fair amount of time to evaluate it's performance - Try Apex Geckos on my Swoard and Moss boards - Make it to unofficial TTC and or June Mtn. Carvers Classic - Make it to my 62 birthday!
  19. I feel for you guys that may be out money for Bomber gear ordered, I think I can relate as my last employer went bankrupt and I was out a whole months salary...now that impacted my daily life and financial existence! .....but Jim and Angie didn't plan on absconding with your $300/$400/$500 of money, nor did they plan on a lawsuit and bankruptcy. I don't mean to diminish the money your out, but after what I went through I think I can honestly say, guys, it is just gear and pennies (that hopefully doesn't impact your daily life and financial existence!) compared to the financial $ numbers/crisis Jim and Angie must be dealing with! As a community let's rally and send Jim and Angie / Bomber some support...I don't know what can be said or done that has any real impact, but were family and family sticks together!...........I'm sending them a PM wishing them the best in these trying circumstances and offering any assistance to support a hopeful positive future for Bomber! Who's In????
  20. I would never have posted this previously, out of respect to Fin/Jim ..... but these are different times.......... I get my Deluxe boots from blue-tomato.com . it's cheaper .......even with International shipping.
  21. Wow! I wish the best for Jim and Angie with this ordeal!........ This surely isn't going to end well......which could unfortunately impact all of us! Yikes!! Mod's what can we do to keep the Bomber forum's up and running???
  22. Love the pop and snap you get out of that Coiler Angrry 170, seems like your riding it like Bruce designed it: "High maneuverability" "With a substantially more variable sidecut, this board offers a very engaging ride as weight distribution can quickly alter turn shape. If you’ve got short, narrow, or not-very-steep runs, this board lets you make much more turns at a lower speed and still have a blast. A real go-kart on snow!" Show us what else it can do..................
  23. Hey Dr. S, Thanks for bringing us back to our regularly scheduled program!....and glad to see I'm not the only one who (pre)ordered the Step-On system!.....and with living at Squaw I should be on the Mtn. with them after they arrive in Nov.!.............and yep, I'm in the 60+ club, well I guess maybe 60- club as I just turned 61! Well at least I get a unrestricted season pass at Boreal Mtn. resort on top of Donner Summit for only $129 for making it to 60!
