  1. Well I did better today.I was able to leave a thin line on a steeper groomed run today better than before. I watched some of the on edge style video last night and it helped. I got on the tail of the board more when it was steeper. Just continuing to work on little things and I am getting better . I am having a good year.
  2. I am not getting a high enough edge angle at the start of my turns and would like to find a video that demonstrates this and explains how to do it well ?
  3. I have changed my mind. I am not interested in your Vist plate.
  4. pm sent about pictures i am interested.
  5. I would contact bomber to buy bindings from them as people do bring some gear for sale at the session but you might not find anything and it would be a shame for you to miss out on riding just because you don't have bindings? i went there last year for SES and I sold 2 pairs of bindings but I did not see any others for sale while I was there? Again it might not be the case this year? Do you not have any at all right now?
  6. please post feedback when you have tested these boots as I will have to buy a pair of these when my Suzakas wear out. Currently riding the same as you the blue and black Suzaka. one thing I can say is I bought a pair of Virus Upz and do not like them at all after many houdays of use. they ride much differently and I did not like this. Too much forward lean and too much heel lift inside boot. I am staying with Deluxe boots as they have served me well over the years.
  7. I might want to sell my KesslerK plate? It rides about the same as a vist because I have ridden both. the nice thing about the Kessler is it uses way less screws and is adjustable in width. Don't know if I really need a plate and I am having fun working on pureboarding and not riding a race board for that.
  8. My gluing story was for Smiling Dave with his Madd Bx board which is glass and only has a small place to glue. I would agree that the Volant board that is stainless with cap would be not a good idea to glue yourself or at all? Volant is done.
  9. You can do it yourself. You can pry the topsheet open a little bit and spread some epoxy in there and clamp. you can use wood blocks under the clamps to avoid damaging the board. If you can find it 2 ton epoxy works well as I was told by a snowboard shop that does repairs that it does not get brittle. You can use paper towels and rubbing alcolhol to clean up any epoxy that oozes out. if you can't find 2 ton I would use a 30 minute epoxy to give yourself enough time to work with it before it sets up.
  10. +1 on the blue loctite as it will allow you to adjust it again if needed. If you do readjust you might have to apply the loctite again.
  11. Sidewinder parts are not going to work with td1. getting spare parts for Burton hardboots is going to be tough? Maybe you could find another pair that has good toe and heel pads? Otherwise you might have to think about getting newer boots?
  12. 70.00 sounds fair to me. I could order those screws from bomber before I send it out if you want? I can do PayPal if you want? I will be riding that week as well but not likely to go to Aspen this year. Let me know if you want me to order the screws first?
  13. ad update- only the BP kit is still available. Scrutton has first dibs as i have offered it to him because he posted an ad for this in wanted to buy. If he does not want it I will let everyone know.
  14. I have this for sale with 0 degree cants. Would like to get 90.00 for it plus shipping. It has been used for about an hour. I need to order the screws to mount the bindings to the cant disc as I have lost some of them. I have bumped my ad to the top so that you can see the pictures. I am open to offers on price as it did not sell with the first listing. Also i might be open to trading something for it? Maybe bindings or an all mountain board such as a Burton alp or similar in the 160-164 range? I would be interested in Burton race plates or similar bindings that are bail and have flex? If your board or bindings are worth more than my bP kit I could pay a difference? `
  15. i have been riding my upz boots again. I have been having trouble with the back of my front leg hurting in heelside turns. i have been using the gray tongue on the front foot. Maybe that and the flat binding is causing this? 9.5 degrees of heel lift? I am going to put the black tongue back on and see what happens? I have been strechting more to loosen the leg up. I don't think this is a good thing.
  16. Lowell Hart at Vail. He is a very good instructor and rider who carves well and rides hard and soft boots.
  17. How are the condtions at Keystone? Hard and scraped off from the holiday crowds? Or okay? I might go there tomorrow 1/6 but only if I get a good report. I have been riding at A basin and it is holding up well both on the groomed runs and off trail. I will be riding tomorrow at A basin if I get a report about hard and worn down? snow was good at the Basin on Sunday.
  18. I have a 158 f2 speedster. the waist is 19cm scr might be 9 m? Maybe from 2003 or 2004? I have not ridden it much as I like to ride wider all mountain boards mostly now. i woulld like to get 150.00 for it but would be open for offers on that price? i don't know how the stiffness would be for you as you said you are lighter than 150 lbs? the topsheet is scuffed up some because I rode it for a few runs with a Kessler k plate but the base and edges are in good shape.
  19. you might check with James a.ka Dusty bottle to see if he wants it as last time I talked to him the 173 Renntiger was his favorite board.
  20. For Pureboarding you only need to ride with the rear leg in walk mode. I would think you would have enough flex for this? Sounds like the head boots will work for you.
  21. You are right. I might be able to run toe lift with my phiokia or nidecker bindings. I don't know how I could do it with the Burton race plates? much better than trying to mod a boot.
  22. I Have a pair of UPZ Virus boots and I don't think I like the heel ramps tilting me forward. On my front foot I can't get the boot to be upright enough. It feels like I have to bend my knee too much all of the time. I can get my Deluxe boot into the proper place if I set it at 4 which is more upright than the UPZ. If I ride the deluxe at 3 my leg will start to hurt right above the top of my knee cap. Has anyone ground the UPZ shell to get rid of the heel ramp? I have tried these boots a lot and I think I am going to go back to my deluxe? Maybe I could shim the insole in the front? I am afraid that I would have problems with my foot getting being too high in the shell by doing this?
