  1. The Pureboarding group is getting lots of people to show up and try alpine snowboarding at the clinics they are doing in Europe. I talked to Ray a couple of weeks ago and he told me this. Ray is one of the riders here in the usa that sells Pureboarding boards and does the clinics with Joerg.. I am going to try and show up this year at SES and demo a Pureboarding board and have fun. I think this concept will help grow the sport of Alpine snowboarding. I would like to buy a Pureboarding board used but you never see them up for sale. You see lots of raceboards up for sale on this forum and ebay. no Pureboarding boards for sale on ebay in Europe either. Must be a good product! Of course the race boards for sale are good as well. I guess I will have to buy a Pureboarding board new if I decide I would want one.
  2. Thank you for your work on this and other SES details!
  3. Your Burton alp has a 3 hole insert pattern and you might need a disc from f2 that works with that pattern? Other brands of snowboards use the 4 hole insert pattern. I can't tell from the picture if you are lined up properly over the inserts with that disc? You might post more pictures to make it possible to tell? Burton Variplates will not work with your Burton Alp as they were made for the 5 hole pattern that Burton used to use years ago.
  4. Would the ski area help pay for this since you were working for them doing the lift evacuation? Did you send pictures to Bruce so that he could diagnose the repairs needed? Maybe the area you are working for knows of someone in your area that can do major repairs? Just trying to come up with ideas to help?
  5. Will there be a Pureboardig carving clinic at SES this year ? Will it be a 1 day only? I did talk to Ray and he said he will be at SES from Feb 6-13 and Joerq will be there for WCS and SES and there will be Pureboarding boards to demo. I am hoping to be able to attend the clinic and also demo a Pureboarding board? If not then I could at least demo a board and get to ride with people at the session. Hopefully information about this will be available soon.
  6. The other thing I am going to try wensday is softer boots again Deluxe lemans. The pureboarding riders are using softer boots.
  7. Thank you all for the reminders on weight placement during toeside and heelside turns. I will work on this Wensday when I ride. I have been riding the Pureboarding stance this season and like it. I still have lots of things to work on for carving and all mountain riding but I always try to make improvements always. The nice thing about all mountain boards is that the versatility is there. I did not have any problems trying the stance as I used a shorter board-F2 158 breezer. It also is wider and similar in dimensions to the Pureboarding boards. I have ridden shorter boards before and still like a shorter board for all mountain riding. The stance I think is great. I am going to demo a pureboarding board at ses. I hope I will like it. My goal is to stop riding race boards and only have 2 boards a Pureboarding and a Dupraz which I already have. The Dupraz I only ride on big powder days although it can be used all of the time. I have not spent much time on the metal raceboards this year. They are heavy and only good for groomed snow. I am working on carving better on the all mountain boards and it is more fun because I can ride moguls as well and the carve all in the same run. I think you can make any type of turn you want to with the pureboarding stance.
  8. If your liners are worn out that might be the source of your problem as they get thinner when they are packed out too much. You might be able to just get new liners and still use those boots assuming they are the correct size? I am on my 3rd set of liners with my susaka boots and they are not worn out yet. the boots will last a long time. If you can go to a boot fitter they could help.
  9. Is it okay to bring gear to ses to sell? I would assume a person could leave a sign at the demo tent with name and number and prices of items and then you could arrange meet up with interested buyers. I would assume that it is not permissible to leave used items at the demo tent as it would cause problems for Fin and Michelle that they don't need. I wonder if it is okay to post a sign at the demo tent?
  10. I could be wrong about those discs as went to carversparadise.com and they only had 1 disc. Maybe it is a screw length issue?
  11. Do you have the correct discs as well? If the discs say no canting you are using the wrong ones for the cants. I would email Joerg if you have the right parts and ask about this if you are still having problems? No canting means that you have to set up the bindings flat with no cants with those discs.I would guess those are the wrong discs because you said the bindings don't move when you are riding them flat. Maybe Joerg can bring you parts to buy for later this month?
  12. You might consider taking a lesson with Lowell Hart who is an instructor at Vail and has been riding and teaching hardboots for years.
  13. interested in pureboarding two or bastard
  14. I was just at All board sports yesterday and there was a tanker there . It looked real long.Maybe a 200? you would have to contact Bola about it for price and other info about the board. He also has lots of other options available.are you wanting to buy a board for powder riding?
  15. are you selling all your gear or are you selling the Ibex off because you did buy some sidewinders a while ago? Would you be interested in trading a pair of sidewinders for a pair of your Ibex? I hope you are not selling everthing. I have 2 pairs of sidewinders I want to sell or trade as I am riding flexier bindings.
  16. Alright I will go ahead and buy this. E mail is mcurtis20@hotmail.com I can pay with paypal or whatever way you want to do it. Give me a price with the shipping Thank you Matt Curtis
  17. I don't have any swallowtails. that is a very good price for the board. I will let you know whether I want it or not?
  18. Would you be interested in trading it for other snowboard gear? I have some things I am thinking of selling. I would rather trade than buy because I already own 2 Dupraz already. I have 2 pairs of sidewinder bindings and possibly some boards to sell.
  19. I will give this a try as I have the boots and correct bindings. Will try on the f2 as the waist is 23 and it will work. If I like it I might buy a pureboarding board? It will be fun to try a softer boot on the rear foot as I have not done this before.Deluxe lemans in the rear and Susuka in the front. I assume both bindings flat?
  20. Blue B do you find that the lower backfoot angle gives better leverage and balance for carving and all around riding on these types of boards? I am going to try this on the f2 breezer which has close to a 23cm waist.
  21. I do have a board that I can try the pureboarding stance on . It is a f2 breezer and it is a 158 and I think the waist width is 24 cm? I did setup the rear binding at 30 dergrees and can see why the width has to be more for that stance. It will work for me to try this and then if I like the stance I could consider buying a pureboarding board. Getting the pureboarding board won't be a problem as Bomber can get them. I did try a two a number of years ago at Loveland but I only did 2 runs on it as it was a frigid day. I did not have any trouble riding it. I think it was a 164?
  22. Thank you for all of the information! I am not riding my current all mountain boards with the stance recommended by Jorg. I am interested in trying this. I am riding angles of 50 on the front and 45 on the rear foot on the all mountain boards I ride now. Which board should I consider? I am not a beginner but not an absolute expert.
  23. Thank you for the info. 24.5 waist seems way too wide for my 26 mondo boots as I have lots of extra room on a 20cm waist race board and a 21.5 all mountain board.
  24. Has any one ridden the Pureboarding boards and how would they compare to other all mountain boards? I am somewhat interested in getting one. I know Bomber sells them and Michelle did tell me that they are stiffer than Donek ax and prior and of course wider. I did ride a two many years ago but not long enough to decide.
  25. Thank you all for the info. I might give this another go? I would have to buy bts again as I traded it off to a friend for some other gear.Don't know if I would like it with my race boards? I was thinking more for all mountain.
