  1. For bindings I highly recommend the Salomon defenders, they have a flexible heel cup and are supportive while offering crazy movement. I rode way too stiff bindings for too long, Ride El Hefe's were my last, I'm 200 and carve hard and my son at 160 likes the same binding for the park and jumps. Check thegoodride.com for good information.
  2. They look like the carve version, I'll pass
  3. What model? May be interested
  4. It is a great little mountain, it gets a little busier every year. They just had the fat tire national up here, it's strange seeing bicycles running around while I'm getting ready to carve. Powder is not so steep, you may be thinking of Snowbasin. Keep posting the great pictures, it definitely inspires me. Kipp
  5. I will, are you having a good season? I crossed paths with Ji but did not get a chance to ride with him. It's way too warm up here, there's a storm rolling in now so it should feel like winter for a while. I was just telling John from Solitude the other day that Buell gave the best advice I've received for carving when he told me to "quit touching the ground" tell him thanks for the advice it's really helped. Kipp
  6. I love these pictures where someone is railing turns and they look like they are expending minimal effort, great shot and keep on making it look easy. Could you talk Shred into coming to Powder Mountain Utah to take a snapshot of me? The gullies and rollers are nice and icy here right now, the riding is incredible. (Utah icy that is)
  7. Love the spray, sprinkled lightly and so evenly. Well done sir.
  8. The Man, The Myth, The Legend. It was good to see you my friend. O'neill jacket, love to watch you make it look simple.
  9. Thanks, I hope my Monster doesn't see this she'll get jealous.
  10. Yes they are for soft boots, I ride wider boards now so I don't need them. They do help reduce toe and heel drag, they smoothed the ride a bit on some boards that I rode.
  11. I've had my Donek Ax out this year, what a great board. It really shines in the sun, the picture doesn't capture it well.
  12. These are in great condition, Paypal preferred. 65 dollar shipped cont. US.
  13. (SOLD) As close to new as you can get, very slight wear. Paypal preferred. 85 dollars shipped cont. US.
  14. Great installation video, I love the part at the end. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/kXgXLv3iM8g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  15. I rode Ride's El Hefe's for years thinking I needed them for my 222lbs of fur ball mass. (Down to 204 now) I switched last year to Salomon's Defenders and could not be happier. I have more control with more freedom of movement, it feels like the bottom of my boots are glued to the board. I get absolutely no discomfort like I have with other bindings and less fatigue. Think outside of the box and check out the reviews at thegoodride.com. I like to think I carve as well as anyone here and I almost have as much fun carving my softboot set-up as I do my Coiler Monster. I've been riding a Rossignol XV (Xavier De La Rue's signature board) with the Defenders and I'm working on putting a set on all my boards. Kipp

  17. This happens to me all the time, I can't count the number of times I've scrubbed speed or came to a stop to let the straightliner get down the hill.
  18. Always love a watching a soft boot carver. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/M6tAOLVXGgM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  19. Sorry Pat, I don't check posts here as often I as I did in the past. I did boot out with a 10 1/2 pretty frequently but on the 174 Wide I seldom do. It does take a little longer edge to edge but still very playful in the crud and trees, it's worth the trade off to carve with confidence.
  20. I found some good information at thegoodride.com Talked with James there about a couple of things, he seems to be a strong rider. Kipp
