  1. Maybe late to the party, butt what is a norm? party
  2. There is no shame in "Slarving" it is better than "death by tree", never let pride cripple you.
  3. I like both, but when the trees at the edges are becoming bigger quickly I prefer to be hardbooting.
  4. I love your thinking, this was my first carving board ( I also use it as a surface to cut fine meats). I ride aggressively and while I have not ridden as many boards as some here, I do still appreciate the craftmanship in my 20 year old Donek AX 177. I take it out quite a bit and it still rips turns and makes me smile. You could not pry it from my cold dead hands, good luck in your quest. Happy Turns
  5. Jack helped me with embedding, I think Thank you Jack !
  6. Looking up at the mountains every morning and seeing that snow is great, some are saying we may have another big season.
  7. Thank you, I'm new here apparently.

  9. Love this, I remember way back when I was softbooting (snowboarding) and wanted more control I bought ski boots from the thrift store and would take the tongues out and add them to my Sorels for more control. Proud to say I was laying out soft boot carves before it was cool. On an old F2 boardercross board (wish I would have kept that one) that I purchased from an army surplus store for 80 bucks at the time. It's Just Say No week here at the schools, carving is just as additive and way more expensive. Happy Carves everyone !
  10. With the Barbie movie out I think it's time for pink
  11. Powder Mountain is just across from Snowbasin and has limited day pass sales, quite during the week relative to other resorts here. No snowmaking so it's best to show up mid January or later. If layed back is your style you'll enjoy it here.
  12. Checkbook Aka... "I'll write you a paper promise to pay"
  13. I can't believe the " mittens with hole is still avlailable, can you put a price on priceless? Checkbook out, name a price. Holes
  14. Thanks for the response, the graphics look great on an alpine board. This gives me something to dream about through the summer, Happy Turns Jack.
  15. I had a Winterstick rep say hello here at Powder a few weeks ago, If I wasn't an idiot I would have remembered her name. I think my mind was on her saying she had the same bindings and that's why she approached me, TD3 Sidewinders. She couldn't have weighed more than 120 and all I could think is she should be on F2's. Anywho, I'm curious what Winterstick offers. Won't ask too many questions, just want to know what they are doing right. Thanks for the response. Kipp
  16. I second GeoffV's comments, put the Contra on edge and trust what you have done several thousand times before and all is good. I do ride Gecko's on my Donek Ax177, my original all mountain carving board and it does take some of the chatter out of that beautiful chunk of lumber.
  17. Are you calling me fat ? With my large butt I find heelsides rather easy. On a serious note, I watched Buell up here at Powder grind out beautiful turns on the steepest terrain, he is a little shorter and 60? lbs lighter and in way better shape than me. Always have equipment a little beyond what you think you can handle, your riding will progress into it. Either that or you'll shoot off the trail into the trees. Happy Trees !
  18. Great board, if I may suggest changing the title to SG Full Carve and maybe throw alpine in there also. I rode one at 210 pounds and every so often I'd loose the tail end (just a bit, nothing scary) super fun board.
  19. mmmm... bacon and eggs ! How do I get my wife to buy me a board for my 62nd ? it's coming up. I love the graphics. Great story.

    Pow Meow !

Snowing falling all week, getting out the right tools for the job.
  21. This is always the scariest encounter for me, some skier that thinks he is way better than he is and (trying to prove a point?). Some people don't seem to appreciate what it's like to put so much into one edge and sadly these idiots don't understand they may end a season or a life.
  22. My wife and I fell in love with McCall 20 years ago and I've always wanted to try Brundage. Thank you for the updates, I hope you continue so I can make a trip up there soon.
  23. The board arrived last night, well packaged and in excellent condition. Love the insane camber, Powder Mountain opened today, can hardly wait to take it out. Thank You and Merry Christmas !
  24. Just found out they open on the 9th, hope a few more storms roll through they didn't seem to do well on the last one. Message me when you want to meet up.
