  1. Hey Bob my Coiler AM is 21.5 and I ride 52f/47r. On the wider board I need to have my weight distributed more towards the edges, so lower angles work better for me.

Paul - Say hi to Allee for me! I hope you remembered to pack your XC skiis in case you can't keep up w/everyone on your Revelstoke adventure:lol: Have fun! See you when you get back...maybe.

    Stratton

Definately NO XC for me. I'll be out riding on wednesday.
  4. Paul, I know that you are a little jealous that it wasn't your photo used on the postcard, due to your "hamminess" around the camera:lol:. If you only had on a brighter outfit. One shot especially of you going down the last part of upper standard, with 2 gondola cars in background and clear shot of the Madd. That's a killer shot!
  5. Thanks for posting this Paul. I never did get a chance to see these. Some really great shots in there. We certainly don't look like we are having any fun though:1luvu:

Sorry Paul but board meetings are held on snowboards only, not XC trails. ;)
  7. Happy Festivis for the rest of us:biggthump Happy and Merry everything to everyone here!! Carver Chick - wishing you strong bones and good health for the season. Wishing that I would find a plane ticket to Aspen for SES in my stocking on x-mas.
  8. Hi All, That photo is Andrea Morgan from yyz sporting some F2 intec titaniums. FYI, the Startingate will be carrying the F2 race titanium bindings this year. We should be receiving them in anytime now.
  9. Hey Chris, Sorry to hear about the shoulder. I had a similar injury last season and it took a bit to feel better. As a recommendation, you may want to use your time off the hill to shop for a helmet. Get well and hope to see you soon at Stratton.
  10. I use the blue springs, cause they match my blue boots;)
  11. Hey Hockey2, If you can get over to Stratton, there are always a bunch of hardbooters on the weekends. Also, mid-week, I ride on Monday's and Wednesday's. I'd be happy to ride w/you if you want. You'll probably pick everything up really quick, since you already have riding skills. I think its great that more people want to try the sport.
  12. I think that is pretty much the same board Bruce made for me last year! The specs are very close. I had a love affair w/mine all last year, and am looking start that all over again next week. Enjoy that board!!
  13. Hey JoeK.inVT, Keep an eye on the VT ride board. We will have board meetings posted under the "Stratton" thread. Probably every Monday and Wednesday. Lifts open at 9am. Maybe we'll see you there.
  14. Corey, as I do boot-fitting myself, I can tell you that you should take your wife into a shop that has GOOD boot fitters. Don't narrow her down to a specific brand based on others saying "Oh that is a great model for women". FYI, every boot has a very different shape inside. Its important that someone look at her foot and determine what boot will fit her foot shape the best and also to put her in the correct size (lots of people are skiing in a size larger than what they should be in). Yes, all boot manufacturers have women's models now. Also, the same thermo liners that we use in our snowboard boots can be applied in ski boots and foam liners are an option also. The best recommendation is that you take your wife to a good shop w/a good boot fitter!
  15. seems like you've got more than enough of everyone else's opinions for where to go. If your looking for people to ride with, there is always at least a handful of riders at Stratton on any given day...even mid-week. Also, I must just say that as for Magic Mtn, its a great place for powder days, however I can't even fathom carving there, since they don't really groom.
  16. Hence the copy printed on the back of every lift ticket EVERYWHERE: SKI/SNOWBOARD AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! As long as I've been skiing/riding the responsibilities codes have been printed on the back of every lift ticket I've ever obtained. People now are so ready to place blame on anyone other than themselves, when they make mistakes. Come on people. We need to start taking responsibility for our own actions and stop placing blame on others. Remember that we are all out there to have fun, but we are doing so at our own risk.
  17. Go Andrea for the beautifully flower filled month of June:biggthump

GOD DAMN I WANT THIS BOARD!! I'll need to do more chores around the house to get the $$$$ together:lol:
  19. Dave, Alex and I are definately coming.
  20. Alex and I might make this road trip. We were thinking of heading up to Jay Peak anyway, so we'll just tie these trips together. PaulK...does this sound interesting to you??? Maybe carpool worthy??
  21. Heard from the locals yesterday that there were skiers on that 7" at K-Mart. (yesterday's blue light special) Last year Mt. Snow opened first. New management will probably push to try and do it again this year too. Stratton opening day is Nov. 28th (day after turkey day).
  22. Sean, I'd like to nominate World Cup as the trail for the "carve master challenge". Just my 2 cents.
  23. Idaho Mike - I guess this means you've received the boots. If you had a question about the heels, I wish you would have emailed me off line. I don't think I mis-represented the product, and my apologies if you feel I did. I hope other than not getting an "intec heel" that you are happy w/the boots. Enjoy.

I too got on some skis last season. I had a blast on a pair of Elan SCX races and also some Atomic ladies Seventh Heaven's. I'll probably do a bit of two planking this season (kind of have to for the job). It's all fun. The new ski technologies make it so much easy, it's like skiing for dummies.
