Nice video Bordy. These girls are rippin' it up...i love it!!!
  3. Loved the bird logo so much its part of my ink. The above designs are clean and simple. Sean, you don't need fancy artwork for your boards...they speak volumes by themselves. If people want something more, then they can customize it.
  4. May take you up on the offer steamboattrailer. We'll hopefully be out in the area in March.

  6. Alex, I've sent you a few emails and want to make sure you've received them. Please let me know.
  7. Hi Lili! Great to have another female on-board. I love your story...its a little familiar to me;) I see that you are in NYC. If you get a chance to come to Vermont next season, I ride at Stratton and would be happy to make some turns w/you. You should definately attend ECES this season, as it'll give you a chance to meet lots of local riders and demo some equipment too. For now, keep thinking snowy thoughts:)
  8. Wow, Fin you're such a BAMF! I'm a little turned on by that:1luvu::1luvu:
  9. I vote the week before presiden'ts week. I won't be able to take time off from work during the holiday week, but could possibly do the week before.
  10. +1 on the Plati Dip (or tool dip). Got that tip from Geoff, and it's been one of the best repair solutions for gloves, pants, and jackets. I highly recommend it! Too bad it doesn't come in a variety of colors. Also, if you treat your gloves before any use, you will keep them together much longer. Carvedog, I can honestly say that I would give you a deposit right now for these miracle pants!! I've gone through 3 pairs of Cloudveil pants in the past 4 years...its getting expensive!
  11. So Stratton is closing this Sunday. We've had rain and snow on and off all week. The next few days will be sunny and nice. The conditions are spring mashed potatoes. It might be fun for a last hurrah:)
  12. Have you done a shell check yet?? If not, you should start there. If the boot is too big, no amount of molding or re-molding the liner will help. Being that you are a narrow foot, you may want to look into a foam liner as it might be a much better fit for you vs an intuition liner. The foam can mold all around the heel pocket and other problem spots so that your narrow foot is managed perfectly inside the boot. Orthotics are always important for managing a foot's length and width also. Just a few thoughts.
  13. Mike - I hope your PCL heals to 100%. I'm interested in hearing more about what prolotherapy is? I tore the meniscus in my left knee a month ago, and am done riding until next season. I'm going for my MRI tomorrow to see how bad the tear is and whether surgery is necessary. The pain is off and on, and my knee locks up sometimes. I can get around on my own, but w/pain.
  14. I love Martinis, and yes Jack, I would agree on the Stoli vs Ketel One. I'm also a huge Bond fan, and if I remember correctly in Daniel Craig's first bond flick "Casino Royale", near the end he drank a martini w/both Vodka and Gin.
  15. I would say I'm one of the best on my hill...that is of course if AlexJ, or PaulK, or Shaggy, or Eric don't show up. But then again that rarely happens:lol:
  16. Thanks Jack and Bola! Ok, makes total sense now. It sure would be nice to not have to work so damn hard all the time:lol:
  17. This is what I cannot get past here (I realize that trying is believing). Haven't demo'd any new boards in a while, but I'm thinking of purchasing something for next season. I know that I put a lot of pressure on the nose of the boards that I ride, and would be worried about burying it with a board such as a Schtubby or NSR. I also see the people that are riding these decks and can't imagine that would be the case for me, if they are not. True???
  18. I am also a huge fan of "The Sean Gate" tune:1luvu: I've never had a board tuned by Mike DeSantis and don't feel the need to. Not starting a war here, as I'm sure he does a great job, but when my boards ride as nicely as they do when I get it back from the gate, I don't feel there is a need to go anywhere else. Everyone has there favorites and it's nice to know that no matter where you live, you can get an awesome tune on your favorite piece of equipment!
  19. Cindy, glad to see that the "platter lift" didn't get the best of you. Sounds like you already know what you should do for next season. Get on an alpine deck girl!! You'll be smokin' em all.
  20. Well, we already have about 8-9 inches on the ground at our house. If it stays cold through the week, the weekend should be pretty good.
  21. Yeah...I thought so:biggthump:biggthump
  22. Sorry carvedog, you talk a lot here and I'm not disputing your knowledge nor your abilities, but I ask you...are you kidding??
  23. Hi Jose, I figured I'd chime in w/another girl's perspective. I can totally relate to your friend's experience, as I've been there. I've been riding now for 15+ years (all of them w/my husband...and we are still together;). While providing feedback to her is very important, you also need to just let her ride, and feel everything for herself. Give her a chance to absorb any info you've previously provided and finding a comfort level for herself. But, let her ride, and feel it. Offer to take out the video camera. With video you can show her what she "is" doing, and then explain what she "should" be doing. This is a very good tool for anyone that learns better with a visual. Going faster=FEAR for some (not everyone is an adrenaline junky!). Each person is different for how they will handle this equation. The more comfortable she gets w/just riding, the easier it will be for her to start riding faster. Hope this makes sense.
