    ohh ****!

Why isn't there a "drool" emoticon!!
  2. Great pics Shaggy, thanks for posting. Alex and Eric scared a few kids w/that freight train;);)
  3. Thanks Ben and Dave for the taking time out of your own riding to take these pictures. So much fun to look through all of them today. Thanks Jack & Geoff for props! It helps to follow great riders like yourselves on a regular basis:biggthump. WHAT AN AWESOME WEEK IT WAS!!
  4. Ah, great footage of the twins!! They were good guys. Such smooth riders and fun to watch. I wonder where they are these days.
  5. I miss Belleayre! Might be able to make one of those sundays, as that is a day off for me.
  6. So psyched to hear that you are coming Sean, and even better that you are sending boards. You may want to send a 163ish for some of the women that will be here. Look forward to seeing you!

    Sunapee Update

Geoff, You're welcome to come to the Juhasz house and do some "street carving". I think that will be the extent of carving available for a little bit:eek: Alex and I will probably ride on Sunday.

    Sunapee Update

hmmmm....stratton will not be open this weekend. It poured all last night and today w/temps in the 50's. Half the snow we had is gone. Alex and I are jonesin' though. Maybe we make a day trip this coming sunday?? Do you think its worth it Eric??
  12. Hey Eric, can't wait to see you too at ECES. I'll be hiding my boards when they are not under foot (ulterior motives huh):lol: Big Canuck, yes, the 170 is as good IMO as the 158. My 170 was the find of the century is actually a proto type. Its a little bit stiffer than most of the 170s, but an absolute blast to ride. It is my goto deck. Although I do have a VSR on the way from Bruce, so 1st place may be a tie soon...we'll see.
  13. I love both my 158 and 170 (both originals):1luvu: I could never part w/them!
  14. Big Canuck, The Startingate definately carried that model. I have the same helmet in white/blue. I think however that the one you are looking at is dark gray/red (if that matters). Here's the gates web address: http://www.startingate.net
  15. Lez - my primary boards are a 165 Coiler All Mountain and a Madd 170. I've got a Madd 158 that you are welcome to try if you come to Stratton this season (for anyone that is considering questioning me here, its a softer flex model from the 2003 or 04ish production run). As for boots, I have Deeluxe LeMans w/thermoflex liners (love 'em). They are more comfortable than ski boots (even though ski boots have come a long way...I have some of them too!). The Startingate does a phenomenal job w/boot fitting. I strongly suggest getting there for boots. Nice to have yet another women on-board. Don't be discouraged by the testosterone flying around, as the majority are great:biggthump
  16. I believe that Dave's recommendation on length is a good one. I think the 13 waist was a typo. Lez, my stats are pretty close to yours except I'm 5'5 and am an 8 1/2 foot. I would strongly recommend the same as ursle. Boots are the most important piece of the puzzle when getting started. Get some boots and get them fitted properly. After that, some plate bindings on your FR board will really give you a good feel. You will be amazed at the reaction time of your board from edge to edge in comparison to your softboots. Hope to meet you at ECES at Stratton this season. Good luck!
  17. Oh Eric, didn't Alex mention to you that I've already mounted your Virus up and will use it for my first runs this season
  18. Buggs - Nice job on picking up that Prior 4WD in classifieds. I know that I loved that board when I rode it at SES a few years ago, and then hunted for a while, until ordering my Coiler AM. I think you should be well covered now w/your Coiler and the Prior. I've never ridden a Virus (although I'd love to), but I still say the liveliest board for me is still my original Madd 158:eplus2:
  19. Personally, I would compare it to my Coiler AM or a Donek Axis. Have you ridden an Axis??
  20. Hey All, Alex and I will most likely come to the Beast again. We had a blast last year!! We hope you guys are all planning to come to Stratton the week after for ECES. We got some great deals:biggthump Its beginning to look alot like winter....
  21. started riding in '93 and moved to HB's primarily in '95. Come a long way baby:biggthump
  22. Hey Ian M! It looks like you've got some great ski areas to look into. Sorry for hijacking your post earlier, but I felt it was deserved. I do enjoy where I live and ride! If you do ever come to ride at Stratton, send me an email. I'd be happy to have a "carve challenge", or just make some turns with you. Happy ski area shopping!
  23. I realize that it may not be one of your top choices Bob. But, I would have to say that we've got some challenging terrain that will keep everyone entertained. I'm so tired of comments like this from people that I have no idea of their skill set, that I'm willing to throw down the carve challenge! Come to Stratton anytime Bob, and you can follow me down any trail. I'd love to finally see if you can put your money where your mouth is!
